YAMAHA R6 FIRST RIDE AFTER FULL EXHAUST & TUNE | REVIEW
Voice of reason right here.
Sitting here with a broken collar bone and fractured rib in my chest area. It started raining on my ride home yesterday, came to a four way stop sign, pulled the front break too hard, front tire went into a slide and I went head first over the bike. Stupid stupid rookie mistake. Too fast, too hard breaking in wet conditions. Hard price to pay. Be safe folks.
Buy a supermoto 😅
All these people crying think they know what's good for Yamaha better than Yamaha does, 😂 The market needs to change, can't keep try to sell bikes that don't sell and I applaud Yamaha for taking the lead.
I’ve been riding since I was 5. Started on the dirt progressed to street and still race enduros. I’ve gone down enough at speed in the dirt and around race tracks on 600 /1000s to know I’m not risking shit on the street. I still speed but when no one’s around…’ people are dumb panicky dangerous animals’… and I will never trust people in cars because 7/10 people I pass are on their phone. I honestly think one thing that should be required is a MSF course state run or through Harley. I did it to help a friend feel more comfy getting into it and she came out the other side 10x better than going in (Harley run MSF). I feel old saying this but times are changing. It’s getting more dangerous riding and splitting through traffic. People are just more distracted than ever before. I still believe it’s safer in slow traffic though than waiting at the end. Wish everyone the best out there. Just be smart and start safe.
@DMVAMG You should check out the Alpinestar J-6 Waterproof Shoes. I have a pair in all black and I love the look of them. Great for an urban casual motorcycle shoe and kind of look like Nikes but with protection. I also swapped out the laces for some clip laces I bought off Amazon so I don't have to tie my laces everytime and also I don't need to worry about laces coming undone and getting caught up in something when out riding. 👍 Also Knox sell great motorcycle gear, pretty expensive though, but you get what you're willing to pay for at the end of the day. I guess everyone should ask the question "How much is protection worth to me?" Because life is priceless.
DONT swerve around when approaching a junction as at 10.24 mins. It looks like you cant make up your mind about whether to take the turning, just very confusing to the car drivers !!!
There is a new breed of "Posers" , and idiots on bikes that have no business riding. Watching "Easy Rider", "Biker Boyz" & "Sons of Anarchy" does not make you a biker even if you have a motorcycle endorsement. You don't ever hear about issues in asian countries were people ride without all of the safety we have here in the US. Seriously people in America have it pretty good on the road. I always wear full race leathers with armor. And also when and were you ride is important.
Good riders, bad riders-there’s a mix of both. Some ride fast for the thrill, others stay cautious, and a few give riders a bad name. While I don’t ride motorbikes, I enjoy watching them and would like to start my own business selling bicycles and motorbikes in the UK.
I might be having deja vu or sum hit im pretty sure I've seen this video ago but a year ago?? 💀
The statistics on motorcycle crashes are all over the place. Almost every wreck I have read in the news or been told about has three things in common. Guys in their 20s, riding too fast on 600-1000cc sport bikes. The entry for getting an M endorsement isn't hard. Having an endorsement doesn't give someone a skill set. The demographic buying what are essentially F1 cars are the least skilled and most overconfident. I'm not knocking being young, I was there once and thankfully I knew myself well enough to stay off a bike until later in life. Most wrecks are the riders' fault. Don't be in a rush to hop on a GXR and start group rides with friends. Take a motorcycle safety course, start slow. If you ride with someone, make sure they know what they are doing. Your friend Kyle who's been riding for 3 months doesn't count. 10 years ago, my cousin started riding, a few months in she low-sided and slid off the road. She never got back on a bike again. Sadly, motorcycle ridings were ruined because her riding group was a school of squids. Low skill and high levels of dumb ass-ory = motorcycle crash.
For the real riders out there please if you have friends getting into it please please teach them right. Make sure there comfortable before getting out there and teach them how to be safe do t just say be safe
@dmvang can you list your gear please?
Trackdays, trackdays, and then do some more trackdays. They not only give you the best knowledge to not crash but also teaches you how to conduct yourself incase of a crash
😢😊
Perfectly balanced in every way. I’m glad it’s numbered. It seems there’s so many out there but I’ve never seen one on the street except for mine. It’s still a collectors bike. Slam an Akra full titanium exhaust that comes with dedicated mapping it even feels like a litter bike, only way gorgeous. Take good care of it, ride safe.
You are not the only one
@dmvamg that is a really nice jacket you have on! Are you posting your video next Sunday?
Let me know!
@dmvamg how long until you post your next video?
Cool video DMVAMG! Are you posting your next video on Sunday?
Hey bro! How’s it going? Yes i’ll be posting my next vid tmrw! It’ll be about the 5 things I wish I knew before starting motorcycle riding! :)
gear is unfathomably important, ive seen people go sliding at insane speeds, and be practically unharmed because their gear soaked up all the friction
The truth about why people crash is because 90% of the community are simply uneducated and unskilled idiots. No matter how much people hate to hear it, it is the truth. Most people never bother to actually practice or increase their skills on a bike by taking formal courses. They just want to hop on a fast bike and go fast without any skill and take photos and videos for IG and RUclips. I have been riding for years and took 8 motorcycle courses in my first year alone of riding, many more throughout the years. Not once have I been in a crash on the streets. Yes, you can expect crashes if you are pushing yourself in controlled environments, such as low speed courses or high speed track days. Sometimes that happens as a part of learning the skill and making mistakes while learning. Which is why you should do those courses in the first place, to learn more. But crashing in the streets 99% of the time is from rider errors because of being unskilled and going way too fast. There are so many people I have met in this community that have been riding many more years that I have yet never took courses or practice, and have crashed many times and/or often make rookie mistakes that could eventually cost them their lives. So it isnt even a matter of time, its a matter of skill. Moral of the story, if people invested time and money into their skills, they wouldnt end up being another statistic as most people do.
Nice video. Thanks for sharing it. Loved watching your ride. Safety first.
Make a video explaining that most people getting into riding can’t ride for shit
You’re a terrible teacher. Do you think a novice rider will understand “there’s a time and place for everything “ or “ride like you’re invisible “? They don’t know what they don’t know. Btw, you never told us why your friends went down. I’m guessing most of the time the rider could have prevented it.
The sad truth is just like everything, you get too old to do it. Everything has risk. Don’t risk wasting your time not doing what you love or what is your fun. Appreciate the time with family and friends.
looks like virginia has a lot of NPCs on the road too smh. Only bad part about riding.
I agree. I started on a cbr 300.
DMVAMG that is a really nice motorcycle! Can you please record a video of your zipper next Sunday
Thanks! Next time I ride I got you bro! I’m just posting up pre-recorded vids rn
Thanks so much! Did you say you will record a video of your Dainese leather jacket zipper next Sunday and post it on RUclips?
DMVAMG You didn't record a video of your Dainese leather jacket zipper today! But can you please do it for me next Sunday and record your Dainese leather jacket zipper on RUclips next week?
@@carldupont7920I haven’t filmed a new vid in over a month so next time I am able to ride I will brother🔥 It’s currently in the 20s outside so not able to ride. It may be another month or two till I can ride again
DMVAMG Are you posting your video next Sunday? And where do you live?
💪💪💪💪💪 Real nice educating the youth
Great video bro
Slow the F down, keep a safe distance, wear gear, keep both hands on the bars.
R6 has always been one of the best bikes for me. That's my dream bike right there as 600cc
First Comment!!
My guy!🤝🏾🔥
That’s not necessarily true it’s not about how fast the bike is it’s about how fast you go always ride with a mature mind and not a mature wrist
I grew up riding BMX bicycles (no gear). One time I lost the front on a turn going really fast and slammed onto the asphalt face first. I was torn the fk up for 3-4 months, every shower was hell. I now ride a ZX9R and I always think about that experience in a BICYCLE. Cannot imagine what it must be like, falling off a motorcycle at highway speeds! WEAR YOUR GEAR FELLAS!!!!
Love the gear just riding pants missing Love the motorcycle
Got my 06 cbr1000rr fireblade for 4200. Has power commander 5 fuel injection module, flashed and tuned ecu, yoshimura rs5, pirelli Diablos, and a bunch of other aftermarket parts including levers and rearsets.. Gotta love honda baby 🏍
1 ride with a decent margin for error. So u can correct 2 situational awareness is everything. 3 don’t ride in bad conditions. This can include extreme weather. Extremely heavy traffic. Time of day with wildlife. 4 Gear gear gear. Helmet boots gloves absolutely minimum. Mangle head hands or feet and it’s over. 5 maintenance is important. 6 if it doesn’t feel right don’t do it. Don’t succumb to peer pressure. If u feel unwell don’t ride.
Ride safe always and God bless
Helo
2 buddies in 3 years - coma, 1 with fractured skull, shattered right arm, broken pelvis, broken jaw, if he hadn’t been wearing gear, he wouldnt have had a chance. The other one wasnt wearing a helmet, recovering is on going now for over a year. If he’d been wearing his helmet, he’d have probably walked away from it.
air sounds leaky
That jacket is slick.
I’m currently studying in the UK and I’m from India. I’ve been dreaming of owning a Yamaha R6, and I’m hoping to import it to India 🇮🇳❤
In Spain R7 2024 9850 💶 new one
Riding above your skill level is a lot of cause of motorcycle accidents 😢
Are there motorbikes in heaven?
Don’t think you can go wrong with either of those bikes. Your r6 sounds great bro.
Great video! I noticed your Tach isn’t moving …. Is it disconnected or broken?
And what are your impressions after the purchase? Is there any comparison to the r6? How does this engine perform? How does it accelerate?
