Even if he moved it it would’ve destroyed it think about it if you take a planet out of its gravitational pole pole and systems it would become a rogue planet theoretically speaking it would’ve been worse than the car comment
It doesnt make sense, Frieza couldve destroyed the comet down the atoms and basically saved everyone I think even Radiz has enough power for such a feat
Also, in case anyone asks "Why didn't he just vaporize the comet instead?": A comet isn't like a planet; it's not one large mass, but tends to be a medium central mass with multiple fragments sheering off of it - that's what causes the distinctive tail. And with only "seconds" left, there's no way Frieza could guarantee vaporizing enough fragments to prevent the super unstable planet from blowing up anyway; it most likely would've ended up the same as "doing nothing", minus a negligible amount of debris. And faster normal ki shots at that range would have risked hitting the planet or not getting there in time or not destroying the comet debris completely enough; the planet was the only thing he could target with one shot and guarantee no debris field. Had it been an *asteroid* or *meteor*, then perhaps Frieza could've taken the deathless option, but the writer's clever distinction denied him the easy out. In the end, this was the "best" choice possible. (barring magical golden balls of tension-destruction, but let's not talk about that...)
If he destroyed the Comet I think he would have made it worse. That debris would have still hit the planet, only it would have also caused far more damage and created the debris field. Despite Frieza being cold in the way he said it, ultimately more damage would have been done. If it were an Asteroid then Frieza would have easily been able to destroy it. In the case of comets though he would literally have to launch a giant Supernova and probably destroy the Planet anyways.
Naw, Freeza has been shown to have the ability to target multiple objects. If it’s natural, he could of vaporized it with no issues. This fan work is just making up there own Frezia to fit the logic of the plot. His actual powers are ridiculous, and there is no point some large space rocks could be a threat lol... Got to think more creative with DB, like the comet could of had some special weird magic about it making it resistant to ki strikes or something. This is a Western fanwork so they probably didn't want to deal with the real scale of character’s powers. Something about American culture is they don’t do well with mythic, outrageously powerful beings or objects. Even the MCU was WAY toned down on power levels of characters. Too much power somehow lends to emotional downplay in American mindsets, so we don’t put in the effort required for the creativity it takes to be emotional, but that doesn’t apply to Eastern storytelling.
It is truly amazing to see one of the most deep hitting moments of season 1 animated. It really shows that yeah friza did the best thing for the situation but it won't be seen that way for everyone else. These moments are why I love this what if series the most!
It's a dose of reality. Being with Goku and Bulma on "magical adventures" isn't te universe. It's easy for them to be "heroes" because the narrative dictates it. Revelation F is the cup of cold water to the face of everyone else in the universe has to deal with on a day-to-day basis. Where being a hero comes at a cost that other people sometimes have to pay. It's awful, but Captain F knows this better than most of the characters
I love that his thought process here sounds almost like some of the more effective Gods of Destruction. The weight of his actions is not lost on him in the slightest; It will send a ripple effect through the cosmos no matter what. He just tries to send out the gentlest one he can imagine.
The animation is gorgeous not to mention the writing. This is a scene that stayed in my head after first listening to it. Frieza can make choices that I Goku or even Vegeta could ever make. That’s the sign of a truly great leader. Someone who can consider the lives of the many outweighing the needs of the few. More great content from Masako. One of the last few creators I look forward to when a new video drops.
Is right here is a perfect example of "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few". Frieza, having destroyed countless planets before as an emperor I imagine, knows exactly what happens when you simply blow something of that size and energy to rubble, and the ramifications it has on everyone and everything in the blast radius, and even beyond. He was faced with an impossible decision, and so chose the lesser of two evils. History may not remember it as such, but Frieza truly did do the best thing he could given the situation.
Firstly: This animation was done splendidly!! The animators(s) truly have this down pat! Second: This scene hits so much harder with animation, but it already had me on the verge of tears the first go! Truly, you all have outdone yourselves! Masako, you have a *lot* to be proud of. :)

I see him more as a Lawful Neutral with an unreliable tendency towards Neutral Good. He's mainly acting out of his own interest, keeping to his personal code. Only where the danger to innocents is too big for others to handle, or if he's personally invested in the event, does he actively go out of his way to help others - in the most pragmatic way he can find.
Holy smokes! I never imagined Frieza to have pinned Yamcha like that, i just imagined him getting up in his face, but this whole animation just made a 10/10 scene into a 15/10! Makes me wish we could get a whole animated series of season 1!
I'm not going to lie I didn't really consider watching the series because it didn't seem to my interest but watching this animation actually sparked my interest in the entire idea.
@@MasakoX Dragon Ball works surprisingly well as an audio drama. The only thing that doesn't translate too well is fights, and even then I suspect if you had an audience or narrator able to explain whats happening, or an inner monologue of a character thinking through their actions, you could probably pull off an audio only fight scene too. Makes me wonder how well Buu saga material might work in audio form.
I love this for more than just the gorgeous animation, voice direction, and narrative depth. The fact we still get this kind of content from a community that has remained so passionate and creative is genuinely heartwarming and inspiring. For me, it showcases how deeply Dragon Ball has touched and connected an audience. Across countless cultures, generations, and mediums. It's wonderful to know that there's something we can still all enjoy. Thank you Masako for still being here. Something the RIGHT choice is never the easy one to make. Sometimes one must be willing to sacrifice the few to save the many. Frieza made the right call in the end... But it does not mean he or anyone else has to like it. Real talk though, this animation was great! A pat on the back, a thumbs up and a glass of cola to all involved in this yo. 😁
I know that Toriyama and Toei would never go for it, but if Revelation F were a limited run animation series, I would pay to watch it. Outstanding work.
This is my absolute favorite scene in the Revelation F series, and seeing it now animated just made my day. I can't express enough how thankful I am for this animation

When you are left with choices that are all horrible ones, the only thing you CAN do is take the most merciful option of them. It's the whole "lesser of two evils" thing, though in this particular case, it's the "lesser of three evils".

So, I haven't watched this series yet, but I absolutely LOVE the development Frieza is showing. Before, he would have destroyed the planet without a second thought, found fun in it. Now, destroying planets doesn't bring him any sort of joy whatsoever. He saw it as a duty to the rest of the galaxy to prevent a catastrophe. It's almost a similar role to a destroyer god, in a way. Will definitely have to give this series a shot later.
Now i feel like Frieza is thinking like a true God of Destruction... Like Beerus... He took no pleasure in destroying that planet... But he knew it's what had to be done. For the sake of billons of others.
This is truly intence and beautiful. The harder choice to make but a choice no hero would chose. Ironically if Goku was the one responsible to save the situation it would have worse results, the ones Freiza spoke of. Heros are too scared to take lives, too scared to dirty their hands with blood to truly save the world.
Wow, wow wow wow wow WOW. The animator was phenomenal! I genuinely love how well the encapsulated the mood of the entire situation as well. Your narration mixed with their animation truly brough this to life!
My word, this scene is truly impeccable! As others have mentioned, this scene definitely stuck with me every time I listen to Frieza’s mindset on how to solve the crisis through the big picture. Also, the animation for this is incredible!! If Revelation F can become fully animated (AFTER the audio parts are done), it can rival (if not, potentially surpass) DBZ Abridged and its properties
Among some of the many what ifs, this surely deserves his own series. If i have to be honest, i'd absolutely love to see some of those stories turned into an animated series of episodes, even if into distilled pieces. Just seeing this gave me goosebumps, for the overall quality of it!
An amazing moment, amazingly animated. Stout productions did an A+ job being that scene to life and secretly hope that this is a sign of the future for Revelation F. The storytelling by Masako and Friends has been spectacular and this little short gives it the chief's kiss it so rightfully deserves. Thank you, again, for a glimpse of something truly beautiful.
Am just gonna say it: This animation is better than DBS's animation. I felt like I was watching a piece of the old-style DBZ in modern times. This was amazing

This was a fantastic moment in Revelation F, seeing it animated only made it better. The first time I listened to this scene I remembered “The Needs of the Many” part from Star Trek Wrath of Khan.

I remember when I first heard this part of the story, I was astonished and delighted by the moral framework of Frieza's choice; how it was framed in such a way as to make the choice pass as many necessary moral tests as possible (is the action itself evil, is the intention evil, do the circumstances make the action evil, lesser of two evils.) I also thought this might lead either Frieza or Yamcha to seek out the Namekian dragon balls to try to undo the damage, but a reconciliation between Frieza and the Namekians does seem like a bit of a stretch, even after all he's been through. Still, this one scene is definitely the gravest and most hard-hitting scene so far.
I'm not sure what to say, except.. great! This is one of the best scenes from your story, and this only adds! While I know this was made by someone else, being able to see the ship at all changes the experience, too. Was that a gold bathtub? Classic cyborg enhancements on display? No matter the source, they certainly add their own character. Chances are slim, but at least for headcanon... dragonballs? Edit: While that's unlikely, perhaps Frigid would want to do something. This atrocity was for him...
Somebody else commented this, and I know it’s for an old comment section, but comets aren’t one singular mass, they’re actually multiple chunks, hence the comets ‘tail’. It’s likely that attempting to vaporize the comet instead would have resulted in a similar situation to option B.

This is also the same comet that appeared in the 1st broly movie, and it was massive. Frieza likely would not have been able to completely vaporize it

The comet is travelling incredibly fast, he didn't have the time to keep up with the comet and erase it before it hit the planet.

Among some of the many what ifs, this surely deserves his own series. If i have to be honest, i'd absolutely love to see some of those stories turned into an animated series of episodes, even if into distilled pieces. Just seeing this gave me goosebumps, for the overall quality of it!
An amazing moment, amazingly animated. Stout productions did an A+ job being that scene to life and secretly hope that this is a sign of the future for Revelation F. The storytelling by Masako and Friends has been spectacular and this little short gives it the chief's kiss it so rightfully deserves. Thank you, again, for a glimpse of something truly beautiful.

The first time I listened to this scene I remembered “The Needs of the Many” part from Star Trek Wrath of Khan.

My guess is maybe he can’t use the technique on such a fast moving object? Freeza isn’t AMAZING with spirit techniques after all

I remember when I first heard this part of the story, I was astonished and delighted by the moral framework of Frieza's choice; how it was framed in such a way as to make the choice pass as many necessary moral tests as possible (is the action itself evil, is the intention evil, do the circumstances make the action evil, lesser of two evils.) I also thought this might lead either Frieza or Yamcha to seek out the Namekian dragon balls to try to undo the damage, but a reconciliation between Frieza and the Namekians does seem like a bit of a stretch, even after all he's been through. Still, this one scene is definitely the gravest and most hard-hitting scene so far.

I love how Frieza here has changed his ways but is still immoral, totally a breath of fresh air from the goodie two shoes of the franchise.

I'm not sure what to say, except.. great! This is one of the best scenes from your story, and this only adds! While I know this was made by someone else, being able to see the ship at all changes the experience, too. Was that a gold bathtub? Classic cyborg enhancements on display? No matter the source, they certainly add their own character.
Chances are slim, but at least for headcanon... dragonballs?
Edit: While that's unlikely, perhaps Frigid would want to do something. This atrocity was for him...

this was such a great moment. it shocked me so mutch when he destroyed the planet. but his reasoning behind it was pure gold.
He didn't want to, but he didn't see any other way out of the situation.
If he can vaporize a planet, shouldnt he be able to vaporize a comet? Couldnt he have moved the comet if the planet was too big?
@@selainx That's what I said. But probably the comet would be moving too fast for Frieza to vaporize.
@@LioGunne he can move faster than the speed of light. He's way faster than a comet
Somebody else commented this, and I know it’s for an old comment section, but comets aren’t one singular mass, they’re actually multiple chunks, hence the comets ‘tail’. It’s likely that attempting to vaporize the comet instead would have resulted in a similar situation to option B.
Guess we gotta up the budget in order to get more select scenes animated? 🤔
