Cooler is a character many people want to see become canon within the series, but some of those people deny the possibility due to the assumption it's "impossible" story-wise, and there's seemingly no reason for his implementation into the story. I explain WHY Cooler becoming canon actually has a bigger chance of happening than many believe. I also show how his late arrival to the story could still work narratively and possibly even SAVE the series in its struggle for longevity.

Plot twist: Cooler was training with Frieza in that time chamber
That's definitely the lazy way and what I'd assume the writers are gonna end up doing to make him canon.
I wished Coola was the villain in Ressurect F, instead of Freeza. Imagine Coola’s absents cause he was training before Freeza was crowned emperor by King Cold? It would explain why he would be so strong, on the level of the “gods”.

The amount of potential interesting story lines you could start with cooler is absurd. Cooler always struck me as more competent than frieza and had to actually earn his power, i feel that cooler would be a breath of fresh air to have him alongside frieza.
what i wanna see is frieza and cooler doing fusion and become refrigerator. And THAT would be epic movie.
And personally i do think if cooler cared about his brother frieza along with his familys pride then his character woulda been fleshed out better by a huge margin
I have my own idea for a Cooler spin off that explains where he was in cannon for the story.
Originally I thought he'd be a bounty hunter who severed his ties with Frieza and King Cold, and forge his own path in life.
But now I think the story can work WITHOUT the bounty hunter thing, and just have Cooler break away from the Cold family lineage, and live life determining his own destiny.
Loved the video, I do believe Cooler deserves to be "canon" hate that word as I'm a massive Dragon Ball fanatic and to me all content is appreciative and expansive to the DB Universe. Anyways, just like with Broly there is room for Cooler & hopefully Janemba maybe even Turles at some point too. As you kinda touched on I think and hopefully it plays out that way, Frieza to be done with Revenge on Goku & Vegeta, Black Frieza intro might've just proved that as a testing of his new power. In the T.O.P Frieza had some sort of awakening/realisation of some degree seeing a much bigger picture that being - Existence of other Universes/ Their Gods & most importantly setting eyes on Zeno. Hopefully Frieza moving forward can see Goku/Vegeta as just Rivals, kept to the side after Frieza's character development towards the end of Super to date it would be such a waste to have him fight Goku/Vegeta to the death only to be beaten and killed again. That be too predictable of an ending for Frieza so for something different it be great to see another end regardless, doesn't mean they cant have another bout to some degree perhaps keep pushing limits maybe have Frieza become an anti-hero if his end goal isn't to replace Zeno himself.

I’m fully with you on the “canon” thing. I really don’t like debating it because from my perspective, Dragon Ball doesn’t have a true continuity be it Super or GT. And even the movies are considered side dimensions, it just doesn’t make sense to me why so many people get hung up on the word.
@@amon-zero Exactly you get it too😊 like majority of the movies until Beerus could be seen as an extension of the era/saga of the timeline and with precise thinking could be fitted within the sagas. Example Cooler's Revenge could easily be fitted into the 3yr time period from when Trunks kills metal frieza and before Androids 19 and 20 appear . That's how I like to imagine it😊and well Super and GT to me are just different time periods for the characters meaning different vibes/themes and such
Don't know about GT characters but from the creators standpoint any from the Dbz timeline canonically work best as much as I would like that to have gt in super though
also cooler would make sense from a persepctive as being friezas training partner in the time chamber her optained the black form in since that one is still unknown

Honestly he is arguably the most logical and fitting movie character to canonize, perhaps even more-so than the likes of Broly.
Cooler and Frieza temporarily make up so they can train together and achieve new heights to finally kill the Saiyans. Its the character advancement that Cooler needs.
He could be coming in the manga fr like I don't think Frieza got that strong training in the time chamber by himself

This picture 8:59 made me think of the story goes how he says when cooler is defeated they can make it so when they defeat freeza cooler could come for revenge and fuse with freeza creating the epic battle Vegito or gogeta vs cooliza
Years ago, when I'd first heard about Cooler. I didn't know he was just a movie villain. I thought there would be an arc, maybe in GT, where Frieza's brother would finally arrive & there'd be another huge battle. Personally, I think that would've kicked ass.
Id like him to exist solely for it to make sense how frieza can train with someone to gain the power he did.
Something I thought of for a spin-off show about gogeta and vegito that would also introduce cooler and turles
So basically at the end of z goku or vegeta one day think about how gogeta and vegito are basically their own people and comes to a certain conclusion. That being, if given the chance- they can make and live their own life.
Basically with the super dragon balls they give gogeta and later vegito a life to live but at the cost of alot of their strength
Season 1, follows gogeta just figuring out what to do with his opportunity until the planet he’s staying on suddenly starts getting ripped apart by none other than a tree of might. Angered he flys over, finds the tree, finds some dudes, but because he sacrificed a crap ton of his strength to be alive he’s not having a fun time. Then fighting happens fruit happens, turles comes, all leave, gogeta learns about the fruit, stuff happens. Some cool martial arts stuff in between until the finale. The ending battle being turles having placed a tree of might on a god damned star and is fighting Gogeta whilst both are trying not to get sucked in by the gravity of the sun. Eventually the star is getting smaller but the gravity is still intense and turles slips up and falls into the star but in a final shout unlocks super saiyan and blasts at gogeta putting up a huge fight pushing him into super saiyan himself. But Turles just doesn’t give up especially not with a new super saiyan boost, a Zenkai AND a rage boost and goes even further beyond getting not super saiyan 3 but super saiyan 2. Fight happens but unfortunately for turles gogeta is the main character of this season and unlocks a new power, his old unbridled power, giving him a halo in homage to his first appearance except its blue because angel rings are blue and I think it’s badass obviously beating turles in the most painful way with him falling into the now very small sun, but the tree wrapping around HIM because he is still in super saiyan and thus getting suffocated and drained to his death. In sadness that he couldn’t save Turles Gogeta cuts of the leaves of the tree and plants it in a world a solar system over so Turles would now be the fertilizer that feeds the planet giving it prosperity.
Alright now for VEGITOOOOOO BLUEEEEEEE
season 2- alright the super dragon balls are back and they do the same to vegito that they did Gogeta, giving him life, taking his power yada yada.
Gogeta tries to help him not be lost but he is almost comedically unfazed and acts pretty normal as a polar opposite to gogeta who was VERY fazed. Eventually Vegito decides he wants to be a space pirate (basically a universe 6 saiyan but I’m saying pirate) because he thinks it’s funny. He gets some members to keep it entertaining like a yardrat maybe a namekian, metal man- whatever. One day Vegito or someone on his crew blows up a planet because they were angry about something but it was one of Coolers planets on his little quadrant of the universe. Obviously he’s pissed and starts hunting them down but not before they can realize who’s planet they blew up and get the HELL outta there. Shenanigans happen including but not limited to:Gogeta trying to teach vegito stuff he’s learned in between the seasons one being ssj4 or cool yardrat stuff, fights happen like a epic not all out orange piccolo vs ssj4 gogeta or UI Vegito vs the main crew for kicks and giggles. and eventually the final fight happens. Cooler vs the main cast. The fighting starts in one of coolers space ships eventually they take it outside and by that I mean, someone from the crew tries to escape and get goku or vegeta or something unfortunately the vacuum sucked big old cooler right out the door breaking it and making a huge hole in the shop sending EVERYONE out. Epic choreography happens till Vegito unlocks his old super powerful strength (I think the original idea for super saiyan god with the super saiyan hair, red eyes and a ki cape would work) beating the living hell out of cooler pushing him to him very flashy platinum form which does nothing but as a power move Vegito uses super saiyan (I guess would just turn his eyes green) increasing the already huge gap by 50x. When the battle is fought Vegito makes a very rash decision not only letting cooler live but also bringing him on the ship and also the team where Cooler and vegito can train in basically a gravity room. Maybe even clips of goku and vegeta back on earth
I came up with, and liked the idea, of Frieza taking Goku and Vegeta, and forcing them to go on a mission with him. Like an Kakashi forcing Naruto and Sasuke to go on a mission earlier in the series. Seemingly good and harmless, but something sinister HAS to be planned, right?
Frieza taking them to another universe to fight some bad guys, but the bad part was that this would save his brother from the whom he was captured by, freeing him. Frieza then let's them go home, as he goes and talks to his brother, Cooler, and returns to him home planet, or the time chamber.

Honestly I kinda would like it if Cooler wasn’t a villain.
Would be a neat change that one of Frieza’s family that isn’t a villain like Frieza, King Cold and Frost, the same species.

One could say freiza's training partner in attaing black form is cooler. The other offspring of cold meant to rule the vast edges of uni.
It would be interesting if that was the case. It’s not like Frieza could use one of his henchmen as a training dummy like he did for the Golden Form, since he’s so strong now.
I think that it’d be better if cooler was a threat to frieza instead of an ally. I think that frieza might’ve “killed” cooler because of how much stronger he was since he’s a mutant, and usurped him as colds heir. Cooler would go on to train for years and achieve his 5th, golden and black form to get his revenge, hell maybe even something further than that. Eventually he attacks frieza and he destroys him so badly that frieza just barely escapes with his life. Frieza ends up training but isn’t sure how he matches up against cooler after so he determines he needs the saiyans as assistance. I feel that frieza would have spared goku and vegeta in the granolah saga for the purpose of making them motivated to surpass him, so that they could actually assist him in beating cooler instead of him. Plus it’s better than having yet another arc where frieza is the main threat.
I honestly believe that the next time freeza dies will be the last time since vegeta will hakai him I mean why else would vegeta even get access to destroyer powers if he wasn’t going to permanently put freeza down
What if Cooler becomes canon in Daima? We know that Goku goes through different planets and because at that moment they don't know about Beerus because it's before super and because Goku is less strong than the final battle with buu they could balance him like making him no that strong (?
They could easily insert him in a time were there was a time skip in the series, I just don't like that everything is after super when there are years when you can do something fun

Definitely Frieza, his goal in the manga has to be similar to the anime. Would love to see Cooler arrive sooner than later, if they plan on making him canon eventually.

I think the best justification of his power if he were to be cannon would be in the form of metal cooler, because he can have multiple copies and each of them help cooler adapt
Basically in the beginning he’d be a joke in power and then he quickly adapts and starts becoming a serious problem
I think to make changes for the cooler movie is to make it that goku already has super saiyan but gets a huge zenkai boost in the end to absolutely destroy cooler, but then cooler just gets spared just for him to cower in fear forever.

@@pasty188 Everything has its own continuity and they aren’t connected to each other. There’s no official canon, but most people recognize what’s current as what’s “canon”, so when people refer to it, they’re talking about Super and its manga. At least until the anime returns.

Dragon ball is a multi-million dollar franchise that will be here long after you and I and the rest of the comment section is dead and gone. It doesn't need to be saved. People just dont like alot of its current state.
You’re taking it way too literal. I meant “save” from a plot standpoint, where it could give the series a reasonable storyline to follow that doesn’t keep the community in a perpetual disappointment like the Cell Max storyline had kept things in a slump. Giving Gohan a randomly undeserved power boost just to keep up with a villain who shouldn’t have been as strong as they are. Compare public opinion now to before, Super has noticeably less respect for its story. That’s not to say, that the anime can’t be very popular just for it’s no-brain fights, which I’m sure if the anime came back, it’d go back up the charts.

As much as I love GT, I wouldn’t say Super is unrepairable. I just think things haven’t been on track for so long, and it takes forever for chapters to get out so the years have kept people in a slump. Especially considering there’s been no anime for a good while.

(4:52) I disagree, they were taking on fodder, they don’t actually serve a purpose. Just have Gokou and Vegeta come early and wipe them out, same result. Heck, Piccolo Jr struggled against a Zarbon level character.
Fodder or not, those same enemy’s could take over the planet very easily if the Z-cast wasn’t there. Goku and Vegeta are off world for the most part now, so if an invasion were to happen on Earth again, they wouldn’t arrive early enough to protect it.

No, I’m saying that as an example, forget the details, same results. The Z Fighters don’t contribute to the story, they’re there to do clean up, and struggled doing so. Plus Piccolo Jr didn’t do anything to prevent Freeza’s revival, he acted dumb. Same thing happened in the Moro Saga. T.O.P Saga (anime) did somewhat better. But again, they’re just there to do clean up until the two main characters arrive.

It only makes sense for them to struggle so there’s a possible motivation to keep training for the Earth’s sake, now that Goku and Vegeta won’t always be there to babysit them. Giving them importance without lazily giving them extreme power boosts to stay relevant. It wouldn’t make sense to match them up against enemies like Frieza when they haven’t earned the strength to hang up there. Their importance to the story is about the same as it’s always been in that regard; to protect Earth and defeat villains lol

Well if Cooler was canonized, it wouldn’t make sense to keep him only SSJ level, they’d boost him like they did Broly when he became canon. And a canon Cooler doesn’t have the be exactly the same as his movie counterpart, he could be changed to better fit the story. But I get your main point, you’re tired of seeing villains be brought back. Which is a fair opinion.
