Ms. Davis was so gracious at her last appearance at the Academy Awards. The fans waited outside backstage of the Dorothy Chandler Pavillion in Los Angeles. I love my pictures of Bette in and out of her limousine. What a star🌟
Bette was one of the first actresses to have that kind of charisma and intensity. She didn't want to play lovely - she'd rather play disturbing, and that was her signature. Way ahead of her times, she'll never cease to amaze. Amazing tribute, Bette would love it too!
Davis was inredibly beautiful, she didnt see it herself and many others at that time didnt. She said she didnt play on beauty but she just happened to be that anyway.
Here's the thing. This video has NOTHING to do with Joan Crawford. Why mention her? Bette Davis and Crawford made ONE film together. Bette was an Actress. Crawford was a movie star. Big difference
Bette Davis my favourite actress. With Joan Crawford close on her heels. Two fantastic strong gutsy women who deserved their place at the top of the of the Great Actress list. I have enjoyed watching "Feud" very much. It was beautifully put together and I'm sure Bette and Joan would be honoured to have been celebrated in such a wonderful way.
Unforgettable. Undefeated. Untouchable. Bette Davis is one of a kind, with all of her qualities. I would love to see a movie about her that would suit her body of work and would be an equal to her talent
Who could ever forget you Bette? I've loved you since I was a little girl in the 70s. Without a doubt ,my fave actress. Been to your grave when I visited my great uncle and aunt and grandma 's crypts. You are a star's star.
I have only watched a few clips of her and her acting seemed very good. I never got that either, Personally i think she was the definition of cute, never seen an actress this cute.
Betty Davis will never be forgotten. Just look at all the wonderful movies she made that will always be around. Her talent was amazing. Talk about versatile! My most favorite part of Bette Davis is her audacity, just like Meryl Streep says. Her honesty.
The Extraordinary, Incomparable, Iconic, Legendary Miss Bette Davis, she was a Marvelous women. I wish she was still around, she is a fascinating women who is the epitome of what a real legit actress is. RIP Bette Davis 1908-1989) 💐🌹👒👡🍸🎬🎬🎥🎥🎥
Katherine Hepburn was voted best actress on films dated before 1950. But actor Kevin Costner said, who was better than Bette Davis. Her acting was so natural.
I think one thing Bette Davis' acting was NOT is natural. It was, on the contrary, always larger-than-life, over-the-top, and melodramatic. Certainly not natural by today's standards. And this was intentional on her part: she stated that natural acting was something she did not admire. She wanted the audience to see the character as acting rather than their boring next-door neighbor.
Thanks for making this. Reminds me that while there are so many Bette Davis films that I love, there are also many more that I've yet to see. You've inspired me to get my Bette on!
When I would see a Bette Davis movie in which she played a villainess I hated her for being bad but it only proves what a terrific Actress she was!,but. when she was doing a movie years before she died,I felt like hugging her & 💋 her pamper her spoil her cook for her & give her all the love & attention that she deserved I just felt she was so frail, but at the same time so magnificent and brave I love her so dearly & when I hugged my beautiful 89-year-old. mother I think of her too..
Bette Davis always tries to sell us she wasn't all that as an actress and wasn't beautiful but in reality she had Charisma, natural talent, and real depth in all her acting in her films that anyone with an once of love for the art of movies and of make believe and finally loved watching it all put together on film than one could see how she brought her character's to life and it made you want to see more of her on film even more over time.
"She was not beautiful", who was the idiot that said that?? Probably who said that didn't watch 'All About Eve', Margo Channing is one of the most hottest character of Old Hollywood.
You are brilliant. Thanks so much for all your amazing videos. Are you able to post Bette singing "Willie the Weeper" from "Cabin in the Cotton"? That is such a cool moment. Or maybe a video of a bunch of clips from that movie, including "I'd love to kiss ya...". She is so good in it, and looks great!

Ah! if he likes this place, it is forever of its videotape, I won't change it for any other one, thank you.
The Little Foxes was one of her best movies. Roger Propes from 2 years ago stayed that she crapped all over the movie and had an absurd hairdo. This was a period piece set in the deep south around 1900. Who's to say that wasn't a hairdo of that time and era. Besides, Bette didn't pick out the "do". That was done by hair and makeup dept so they would be absurd!
I always loved Bette Davis. She was definitely one of the best female actresses in the Golden Era. Good job!
"I'd LOVE to kiss you, but I just washed my hair!..." What a GREAT LINE!!!!
No one who saw her films could ever forget her.
Ms. Davis was so gracious at her last appearance at the Academy Awards. The fans waited outside backstage of the Dorothy Chandler Pavillion in Los Angeles. I love my pictures of Bette in and out of her limousine.
What a star🌟

Amazing tribute, Bette would love it too!
She was amazing and she knew it.
Nice tribute. I imagine she would be pleased.
Here's the thing. Both Miss Davis and Miss Crawford were beautiful in their own unique way.
amen

@@philomalley1510 Actually Miss Davis was an actress AND a movie star
Amazing actress and so so much talent!!! The one and only Miss.Betty Davis
She was a true actress. She didn't care how she looked. She cared about the character she was playing and how to express that.
I don't know why Bette never felt beautiful
My favorite actress even today. The screen vibrates when she's on. I've always looked at her talent in awe.
Unforgettable. Undefeated. Untouchable. Bette Davis is one of a kind, with all of her qualities. I would love to see a movie about her that would suit her body of work and would be an equal to her talent

She is, and always be an inspiration. Bette Davis, what a woman, what an actor, what an individual, what a legend.

I don’t understand why she thought she was ugly, the woman was a knockout to me!
I have only watched a few clips of her and her acting seemed very good. I never got that either, Personally i think she was the definition of cute, never seen an actress this cute.
Miss you, Miss Bette Davis! You were a brilliant actress and a real class act.
She was and is the greatest.

Exquisite edit.
I love Bette Davis very much. She really did play like a real human being. I am such an old soul.
Wonderful tribute to my favorite actress of all time, Bette Davis.
I saw her for the first time at the age of six and she has been my favorite actress ever since
Spot-on! That's all I can say.
The best tribute video I’ve seen! I laughed, I cried, and nodded with knowing appreciation of her work. Thank you so much for making this.

she really does look like susan sarandon...
Meryl Streep = Bette Davis
Cate Blanchett = Joan Crawford
Now I wanna see a remake of Baby Jane with these two.
Nomi Malone Not that the movie needs remaking. Just wanna see Streep serves rat for Blanchett's din-din.
No.
we won't see the likes of Bette Davis ever again. there will only ever be one
I would put Bette Davis> Meryl Streep and Joan Crawford > viola Davis or Glenn Close.
That's a masterpiece. Please don't spoil it.
❤

Good as she was, I'll never forgive her for crapping all over 'The Little Foxes' with that absurd hair-do!
