Something new I learn of this Muslim consort. Lady from Xinxiang. So, consort Xiang renamed to Rong. Islamic powers had many cultured people and well-respected. Admiral Cheng Ho was a reliable man nominated by the Ming Emperor for the massive sea explorations.
In "Story of Yanxi Palace", the drama series spliced Consort Rong 容妃 and Noble Lady Shun 順貴人 into one character to create the character Niohuru Chenbi(Concubine Shun).

I am thrilled to find this channel. Where has it been all my life. My husband and I have become 'addicted' to chinese historical dramas and therefore reading Chinese imperial history, Chinese clothing and recently food. I'm glad to see that these history lessons are available. The dramas are wonderful but like most drama, there may be a smidgen of dramatic license. These shows are wonderfully creative. Iam always in awe of the costumes - the fabrics, the hair pieces (there is a website showing how some of these were made. Can't think of the woman's name). So thank you for creating this channel.
