I was married for 6 years, one early summer morning. I was in my shed getting ready to mow, I saw a one of a kind new custom truck drive by slow, thinking this dude lives 2 towns away. Why is he creeping by my house.Three weeks later, my wife, who never went out with her girlfriends, left for a over night trip. Before the sun came up, I drove to the customs trucks guy apt( he always parked up front by the entrance) I found my wife's car and watched her walk out of his apt after the sun came up. I pulled up and asked her how her trip was going. We divorced about a year later.

Yeah there's no point in stressing about it. If she wants to cheat on you, she will. If you think she would, then she probably already has. Always use protection and never enter into an arrangement that could endanger your finances and credit. That way, when you find out that one of them is cheating on you, you can just cut your losses and walk away.

I started to get pretty deep into hookup culture and life taught me a massive lesson. Imagine having a gal you don’t even like miss her period. The worst 3 weeks of my life. That mental and emotional trauma made me completely change. Hell even with girlfriends I use jimmys. I don’t care if it’s not as good.
Communication is the #1 problem in relationships. If she EVER walks from a conversation, lock the door behind her.
There’s no sign to watch for either, if she’s female this can happen. There’s always a man at the club for any one of them, across the spectrum of age and looks. Once you understand this, you can be a far better captain of your vessel in life.

Over the years I’ve learned how to choose better. I was dating grown boys instead of men. I’ve learned the “good men” most times were right in front of me. I couldn’t see them because I was using broken equipment to identify them. Healing and loving on myself has enabled me to be selective and it’s enabled me to be alone more than I wish to be. There are good ppl out here. Good is subjective and varies. Wishing you all of the best. She showed you her true colors. It’s ok. Lesson learned. She isn’t the only woman on Earth. Ugh I feel like such an idiot. I was in this mindset thinking the best of her and that I had found one that wasn't like the rest. Nope she was capable of lies, deceit, cheating and monkey branching. It has been a few months and I am still feeling completely destroyed.

@joncarbone exactly the same. She was so good and so loyal for decades that I thought we could fix things. I should have ended things at the first or second betrayal. Instead I held on and became all needy and jealous and turned her off completely and she ended things. Which then destroyed me.

She really was different than the other girls…but even when I thought I found a wholesome and more traditional type woman who said she was done with situationships and modern dating tropes..she breaks all integrity 😢. Had me played the whole time. Of all the women I’ve dated I trusted her the most. I really couldn’t believe it. I’ve been wronged much worse before but this one hurt the most.
This is sad because both men and women have lot of trust issues nowadays due to bad experiences. These types of things happened to me by a man few times too. But you have to understand not every good girl is going to do engage in such behavior. And I also have to understand that not every man is bad

Keep a red flag evidence notepad file in your phone on a "partner" everytime an instance occurs. You will find out towards the end all the stuff you added up made sense on their behaviors. Learn to act sooner.
It takes years to know a person, a relationship has to be pressure tested she failed the test in a man's eyes, if under emotional pressure she did it once she will do it again. Glad Ole rich dodged the bullet. Never hurts when the opportunity presents itself make your woman mad she may misbehave like this woman again pressure test.
I found a good girl and she was dedicated to me but very needy. I broke it off and about 10 years latter she was married with two kids. I ask if she wanted to grab coffee, before knowing, and i 100% gaurantee you that she married a dude that was a safe secure beta and this good girl definitely wouldve thrown out her marriage for another shot with me. Heres the lesson: a good girl is only as good as her best option. If your not her best option your at risk. So if you want a long happy marriage you need to be way higher on the value scale.

It is challenging these days Rich, especially being that most publicly displayed well mannered women are basically handed life by the balls. I recently ended an almost 10 yr. LTR, primarily do to her dismissive avoidance and general lack of communication. Those red flags can't be avoided though!

How and where did you meet her? Maybe the writing was on the wall from the inception but you hoped it would go away. There are always signs. I’ve learned my lesson the hard way. Kept myself until marriage. Served my husband because that’s what I saw my mom did with my dad. Thought that’s what was expected of me. I cooked 2 or 3 times a week while holding a full time job outside of the home. I cleaned the house, did laundry and ironed his clothes every weekend. Was up late at nights taking care of 2 young kids. Barely on sleep. And guess what, he still went out and cheated. When confronted, one excuse was that he was meeting a women at midnight and later to discuss going into a daycare business, and the other was some pastor’s daughter was having issues and wanted someone to confide in. I asked him why his business meetings couldn’t happen in the daylight and that I never knew he was a counselor. By the way, neither of the 2 projects came to fruition. Also, he got physically abusive when confronted with the truth. He felt cornered and would turn into a raging lunatic. I stayed for 9 years because it was tough me to move on with 2 young kids in a new country but I did it. Eventually, he understood that I was not only out the door mentally but I was physically about to do the same. In a last ditch attempt to save the marriage, he admitted in a letter to the church we previously attended that he had been mistreating me and that he wanted them to help him save his marriage. I walked right through those dame doors and didn’t look back. He wasn’t going to change. He played a lot of mind games and was always going to change. I’ve dealt with his mess for 9 years too long. I told him he could change for the next woman. Going on 6 years since leaving and I’ve kept to myself. I can’t just be getting intimate with random people so I’ve chosen to stay to myself. Maybe after my kids leave the house I’ll get to know people.

Their argument triggered her emotions Rich said on the backend meaning it was already counting down to end in that moment she thought she could do better and cheated. Cheating was already on her mind she just decided to do it after being triggered she failed the pressure test. Some women are emotional which leads to irrational decisions, women argue and become difficult when they want out she was already looking to cheat.

I'm sorry for what happened to you, but I have to say that there are way more cheating women than cheating guys. The alpha, tough, sense of humor guys (which happen to be very few) are the ones who cheat. Any woman, beautiful, ugly, tall, short, shy, outgoing, long hair, short hair...they all can cheat. Women generally view a one night stand as non statistical no matter how many times they do it. Fact is, males and females want to become a member of a small club, not a huge organisation. If lots of sexual partners form part of someones history, it is very difficult to feel like anything special.

I do have to disagree when you say that 'Anybody that does them, counts them, men or women'. Internally, we certainly all do count our sexual interactions however, when this topic arises in relationships, many women will discount the number of singular event sexual encounters resetting the counter to zero hoping to set forth on a relationship built on dishonesty, the weakest bedrock you could have.
Self respect is very important in both men and women and anyone who rates themselves so lowly as to engage in sexual activity as a sport is not in my view cut out for relationships. Isn't the whole idea of a relationship to feel extremely special to one another, to hold each other as the person we love and desire above all others, isn't that exactly the purpose of firstly courting and then onwards to marriage.
I have been lucky enough to stay away from ladies who have numbered countless sexual partners, I set about in my teens to not attract those types and the onset of HIV in the 80's helped inform that decision for me.
Of course throughout life, our friends don't make the same choices and I have seen far too many times how the previous promiscuity of either partner, but particularly the woman has driven a coach & horses straight through the middle of those relationships.
The number of former encounters is a statistic that gives a lot of information, like the service history of a car, we value it because it can be an accurate predictor of future reliability, whether we can get from point A to point B reliably without any catastrophic events along the way and whether that vehicle can easily be stolen.
With the vast interconnectability of today's society, trust in our vehicles has never been more important and nobody wants to discover their car casually discarded in a layby with the swirl flaps missing.
I suppose that it's much different in Europe than in the US. Nobody in Europe would ask about head counts, that's such a horrible term by the way! Anyway, I do believe people like people who are similar to them.

It does appear women are more likely to behave in this way when their live’s aren’t going well for whatever reason. It doesn’t matter how temporary, nor even what the particular issue that may be. It’s as if they refuse to be unhappy in any form and will always require something (usually someone else) in order to improve their situation therefore putting their life back where they believe it should be. Women, far more than men, often think they have the right to feel only good about themselves and being unhappy is some sort of personal attack on them by life itself. This is obviously along with the belief that any kind of unhappiness actually stems from feeling “unloved and under appreciated.” The truth of this is irrelevant and is clearly her partners doing.
This attitude will be strongly reinforced by their friends. The very same friends who will offer much encouragement when the woman decides the only way to improve their lot is to sneak around with another man or on occasion various men.
I must agree with your point that this behaviour isn’t inevitable. It’s not all women, many men are also guilty of this entitled way of thinking and the actions that result. This could just be my experience, but often you will hear of these situations and it’s the woman who has cheated. Far less often will you hear of it being the man. Still, it does happen all the same.

I took our two small children(at the time) and left. I told him to get it together. I raised our children, alone. I didn’t date, I didn’t go out. I stayed home with our kids and I worked. It took him 8 years. But he called one day and was ready to come home. He’s been clean 13 years now. I made a promise in sickness and health. I couldn’t stay for the kids safety. But I didn’t divorce him either. I waited because people aren’t not defined by the moments in life that hurt. They are defined by by the collective.

As a woman, gotta say this is very true OF CERTAIN WOMEN.
Many of us have very strict standards of behavior not based on our man's treatment of us, not based on fleeting upsets or negative emotions (emotions are temporary!) and not based on anger / revenge mindset.
Some of us believe in respect at all times (and if that should fail in the heat of a rare moment, then APOLOGIZING... and some of us believe in loyalty, focusing on positive points of our partner, knowing his strengths and expressing our admiration to him... some of us are very grateful for all our partner does for us...
