Thank you so much for making this video and keeping it on youtube. I just ordered a RE20 in black with the 309A shock mount and wanted to get some tips on putting it all together for my new desk set up.
Having just purchased this, I find it rather contemptuous that there are absolutely no instructions on how to put this together in the box when you buy it. Given the price of this accessory, would it kill you to include a sheet of instructions?
Thanks for yet another great video - so helpful, comprehensive and to the point! Appreciate the details in setting this 309A mount. I was able to follow along and I'm all set up! Thanks again!💯👍
I saw an assembly video that had the person remove that tiny Pin on the mounting post of the 320 as he said it prevent to attach it flush in the mount. Is that correct????
Thanks for making this video. I have mine setup just the way you show it here but for some reasons the rubber cords keep breaking. I've had my RE27 and the 309A for only 3 months and already I had to replace 2 of the rubber cords. I've looked up a lot of images to see how everyone else has the rubber cords attached and unlike you and I, they don't attach them to the corners of the intermediate frame but to the the sides of the frame. I'm going to try it... maybe a little less tension on the cords will help them to last longer. Your thoughts?
Thanks for this video! It has been very helpful. Nice suggestion to rotate the mic a little bit so that the slot and the pin don't line up anymore (around 8:06).
This is really something that I have to add to my collection - but damn, this collection of rubberband and tinplate is pricey: 160USD (135EUR) - that is the cheapest price I could find in Germany. And I have searched quite a bit. I mean... I understand that you need to make a living. And I happily pay for your fantastic microphones. But 160USD for a suspension mount? Seriously, this is madness.
Love the RE-20, but my God. This thing is so outrageously priced. If you own a RE320, this thing costs nearly half the mic lol. Like how are they getting away with this? Don't spend $150 on this. If it's not marked up like crazy, they need to get their costs down. In any case, this isn't worth the price. Not even close. What is the hardware made of platinum?

You cannot imagine how far I was from figuring out how to assemble this before I found this video. This was a huge help!
Old video, same info. THANK YOU. I almost gave up. Was the info at 9:10 that saved me from insanity. The adapter.
I've always wondered... what is the purpose of the small hole in the bale on the right side? Is there some accessory I'm unaware of that fits there?
i love how he's wearing track pants and a dress-shirt.
Came in to post this, left pleased.
strong move with adidas track pants and collared shirt. EVMicGuy is the GOAT
I could not have assembled this myself without this video. Thanks for showing us how to do it.
this is the worst and best assembly video of all time hahaha

What's the type of wingbolt / thumbscrew for the retention of the mic? I was going to pick up one of these but it's missing.
Thread and diameter is really all that's needed to find something similar I suppose
Thanks for doing this video. Very professionally done and at a good pace. I was able to get my install done quickly thanks to your guidance.

This has got to be the most niche channel ever 😂
I just got this today but my brackets came pre-installed and I got 2 packs of coupler arms. Crazy
This video was just what I needed to assemble these..

Needed this today. Thanks!
Thanks for the tip. Love my Re-20!
Wow this is ironic I live in Atlanta georgia. Thank you for help by the way
thank you, Rick!
8:58 is the only part I got stuck on. Counterintuitive. And yeah that screw should really be longer.
