I really love Space Engineers, I currently have 1100+ hours in the game. I bought it back when they didn't even have planets. Over the years they added lots of cool and useful features and stuff. And if that isn't enough, there are also lots of mods to choose from.
Loooove me some Space Engineers. I've bought all the DLC with the exception of music / art stuff. The newest release will change everything about the game... no doubt about it.

Just don't have the time, skill or patience to appreciate this game, but you are right; it's great for people who are into this stuff.
