Ya it’s beautiful. Person inadequately raised with only Bible Principals and church friends can’t hack it in the real world and runs back scared. Never fully growing up into a free thinking adult.
Society historically has understood that for men, unrestrained aggression is dangerous. Now, society is finding out the equivalent for women, unrestrained vanity. As parents we need to help our daughters, of which I have 3, understand the love of their parents, family, and most importantly their Heavenly Parents love and approval is enough. Welcome back Mandy ❤
Mandy, thank you SO much for your bravery and openness. Your story touched my heart and tugged at it. My two oldest children have 100% cut me out of their lives. I divorced their dad when they were teens and they never forgave me. Every night I weep over the loss of the my children. I was disfellowshipped from the church, and took a break, though I never stopped believing in the Savior. I'm just getting back into fellowship. Stay strong. Something I've learned is that God is more interested n our growth than our comfort; excruciating as it is. We have lessons to learn and when the time is right the blessings we are seeking will come. My prayers are with you and your family..
I've wept over my mistakes. I feel so broken at times but it has made me really seek after the Savior. His peace and love are beautiful. We will get through it with Him.
Thank you for sharing Mandy! It seems like we only hear about the ones who are leaving the church, so refreshing to hear a comeback story! I remember you as a teenager🙏🏻
I am so grateful for this sister. Because of her good choices she will bless many. I'm grateful that the atonement has worked in her life. It has truly strengthened my testimony. Thank you.
Your story give hope to both those caught in that difficult snare of drug addiction (or I guess any addiction that Is ruining Life) and helps family members understand they should never give up and never stop praying for their loved ones.
Nothing can separate us from the love of God. We may turn our back, and run away fast , but He always so close to us, ready to heal our broken soul, and carry us through, as long as we desires.
Very touching story but im so happy that the healing power of hope, forgiveness and love frim the gospel of christ and his atonement is real.. addiction is really not easy and unbearable alone without them power of the atonement. Thanks you for being brave to share your feelings. It does help strengthen my faith in christ.. thank you.. i hope all the best success in your life.
The thing that's so beautiful about her experience is that she failed so often yet she was still able to be transformed through the Savior. That doesn't mean that once we can reach a point like that we are good for life, but the fact that we can make 180's and change for the better at any point in our life is a powerful testimony of the transformative power of the atonement of our Savior.
Wow, what a story ........I hope the heart of your Mother will become less hard sometime ........prayer is a very strong thing Mandy .......don't give up on your faith.
I cannot get past the rejection you got for your mom. Of all the parts of your story that breaks my heart the most! When you got out of prison and it other times you needed. Love, support and direction. That's when she needed to step in. I'm trying hard not to judge her, and you did not throw her under the bus! You were very respectful. But I have not stopped thinking about your story and your mother. I had a son on drugs for 15 years. I thought he was going to die on the streets of Las Vegas. But when he decided to get clean for real, we were there for him. We helped her with a job with a car with an apartment. He could have made it without us. I am so proud of you and pleased with your life. You are an awesome person and I hope and pray you will reconnect with your sons and they will know how lucky and truly blessed they are to have you as a mother. You brought them into this world and you deserve to have a relationship with them and to love them.
Me too, one of the best days of my life, the woman that prayed for me just touched my heart and I am so grateful. This channel is awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for telling your story Mandy! I wish you and your family all the best. I really like your message that people can change, it is so true, I've seen it in my life too.
Mandy...thank you so much for sharing your amazing story and life with us! I found it so inspirational and wish you, your husband, and children the best. The temple unites families, and I am confident that as you make the temple a consistent part of your worship, your mother's heart will melt and you will be able to see your children and be a part of their lives. Ashley...thank you for reflecting the light of the Savior and for bringing these stories out so those who have been lost may be found. Hooray for Israel!
You two are amazing I cryed thru most of it. My heart goes out to you with not having your children in your life. I hope your mother watches this and lets you see them. I'm sure she's afraid of losing them. Your children are her second chance. I pray things will work out for all concern.
Mandy. Your story is amazing. Luke's story at stake conference was also amazing. In so happy you found each other. My son is in California on drugs and has overdosed on fentynol. Your story gives me hope!! Thank you. And Hod bless you and Luke and your family!!
Mandy! Your story is amazing and it gives me so much hope for my neighbor who has some similar struggles. No jail or anything, though, although his mom spent much of his growing up years in jail herself. I just continue to try to show love so he knows that someone cares even when he's doing things he knows he shouldn't. I don't treat him any differently than I did before he went off the deep end. I know his great worth even if he doesn't see it right now. It pains me to see the change in him but I know that there's hope especially when I listen to stories on this channel. So thank you also Ashley! Your channel strengthens me and my testimony.
Beautiful. ❤ If only every member would take this admonition (below) to heart rather than waiting for “rock bottom,” to reach out… the church membership would be the sanctified ones ready to receive the Savior on Earth today. “…when you reach up for the Lord's power in your life with the same intensity that a drowning person has when grasping and gasping for air, power from Jesus Christ will be yours...When you spiritually stretch beyond anything you have ever done before, then His power will flow into you."
Nevermo here. I'm just really irritated that her mother, who had a past like her mother did, and separated from her when thankfully her loving Dad stepped in...that she to the taping of this episode was treating her that way! You both are lovely, thank you for the vid. 🙏
Thank you for sharing. Several times you said, “living the life that every girl wants.” I have never know anyone who wanted to be a model. Was that common where you grew up? I grew up on military posts all over the world, in an LDS bubble.
A religion addiction is certainly a bit healthier than a drug addiction. Though in both cases, one is still under someone else's control and losing money to them.
I agree with this comment. I ultimately had to have faith in myself. It was better than drugs, booze, or religion. But I guess being addicted to a particular religion can be a decent solution for many. I’m happy she found something for her that works.
“People respect who you have become”. Indeed 🌞
Gives me tears to hear these journies! Christ is so good and is so loving. He is so proud of these women! ❤

Thank you Mandy. So brave…you are truly an inspiration to everyone.
Repentance and change is the whole message if the Book of Mormon. Remember Alma the younger???
🤘

Jesus said, "I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents." (Luke 15:10)
any chance you can do a follow up on this one? Is she still doing ok? Did she ever reunite with her older boys?
Her mom is a sad case of unforgiving

@Michael Smith so CYNICAL🥴
OMG, how tone deaf can a person be. You have issues.
Christ addiction is the goal!
