I’ve been a Red Hot Chili Peppers fan for as long as I remember (Stadium Arcadium-era), all I heard being in Southern California was their music, and even though I barely remember John in the band, I have massive respect. That being said, Josh joined the band when I was only four, and made me love the band even more when they put out I’m With You, which is my favorite album to this day, and the masterpiece that was The Getaway. But throughout his tenure, I defended him, while others trashed and compared him to John, it bothered me until he suddenly was showered with love recently. If I could tell Josh anything, it would be I’m With You, he’s the reason I wanted to play guitar, he’s the most relatable famous person ever, and inspired me to be myself. Thank you Josh for basically growing up with me, and I hope you can come back one day.

The atmosphere gets hyped up as the chorus echoes, sparking a wild moment you will never forget. Then, the bass solo. The whole world freezes, you’re levitating. You make eye contact with Flea as his melodies stir up a whole new feeling in you. Yeah, this prolly goes crazy at concerts.

First time I ever saw the band was after Josh joined and release their first album. It was a new shaky beginning and he actually broke his toe a show before and had to to the concert sitting on a chair. I was so disappointed after a decade of growing up with John era RHCP. But looking back, he was and is quite an amazing guitarist so I'm now pretty grateful for what he has brought to RCHP. Goodbye Josh, we're with you.

You may say that but Anthony has actually used autotune before and still does sometimes live. I don't think autotune is a bad thing either. I mean, in pop music it's actually used as another instrument sometimes.
i agree wholeheartedly, the live performances of recent are full of jams with a deep groove, but the last two albums seem to lack it... im happy that theyre writing the songs the want to make but if i had my way they would be full of the grooves
This is freaking awesome song. I play bass guitar and was raised under Flea's influence. His style of playing was so inspiring and make me totally be in love with bass.

Honestly josh has been a really good replacement for John, he was able to adequately fill johns shoes and add some stuff of his own. Really quite impressive
Josh Klinghoffer is one of the most overlooked guitarists in activity. The guy rose up to the challenge of stepping up to the shoes of John Frusciante. He managed to create a style that is beautiful, powerful, complete and of his own creation. I really admire that guy!
Is John Great musician? Definitely. Was he perfect guitarist for RHCP? Absolutely. Was is Josh's fault that John left the band? Of course not. Could RHCP go apart after John left? Seems so. Even if Josh wouldn't be so good I'd still be grateful to him for that reason. But he is really good.
I feel great to have experienced this era. I saw them live in Atlanta on 4/14/2017, and they were amazing! Josh is an amazing artist and guitarist. He deserves all of the credit and recognition. He played an important part of this band. I’m looking forward this new era with John and hopefully seeing them live ❤️❤️
That slap bass outro... Not my favorite Chilis album, but at least 3 songs I'd rate up with their best work, and this is one of them. The Longest Wave could be a Frusciante song it's so good. Wish Josh would do more like that but it proves he can grab your attention with beautiful and intricate guitar melodies. Josh definitely grew on me with this album, but he can still do more.
I wonder if John's still gonna play songs like goodbye angels? I really hope he does, so many of josh's songs get disregarded by frusciante purists, and don't get me wrong, I do prefer frusciante over klinghoffer, but some of josh's songs are so amazing like this song, encore, the longest wave, sick love, look around etc
I maybe in the minority but I actually liked the direction in which RHCP were moving with Josh. It was getting better and they were exploring different sounds but yet kept their signature styles intact. With John and the new albums sound very 1990s and not new. I liked the getaway more than unlimited love.
The Getaway is really awesome indeed. Full of work that gets me deep. I've hardly listened to Unlimited Love t.b.h.; it doesn't seem to really strike something inside me, unfortunately.
Getaway is an awesome album, both Dream Cantine and Unlimited Love are not even close to it. This was such a fresh sound, compared to the recycled stuff they recently published :(
You maybe are in minority but you are not alone. The getaway was an amazing work. Fresh & nostalgic at the same time. Songs like goodbye angels, encore, the longest wave, dark necessities are gold and way better than the new ones.
There are like 4-6 stages of sound of the chilli peppers over the different guitarists they have had. I love each and every stage this style with klinghoffer is really nice to hear. It's chill music that isn't standard hippy indie trendi garbage. Also love this film clip, no bull shit and awesome seeing them rock out
I remember when this Album came out, I was only 7, But I was old enough to remember every song listening to it the year it had came out even being younger remembering the albums only went up to Im with you until this Album came out
Every RHCP song hits me in the same unique and cool vibe, damn its really hard to maintain that same feel and flow in all their songs!! It has high nostalgia, some broken hearts and smt i can't explain.

First time I ever saw the band was after Josh joined and release their first album. It was a new shaky beginning and he actually broke his toe a show before and had to to the concert sitting on a chair. I was so disappointed after a decade of growing up with John era RHCP. But looking back, he was and is quite an amazing guitarist so I'm now pretty grateful for what he has brought to RCHP. Goodbye Josh, we're with you.

Honestly josh has been a really good replacement for John, he was able to adequately fill johns shoes and add some stuff of his own. Really quite impressive
Josh Klinghoffer is one of the most overlooked guitarists in activity. The guy rose up to the challenge of stepping up to the shoes of John Frusciante. He managed to create a style that is beautiful, powerful, complete and of his own creation. I really admire that guy!
Is John Great musician? Definitely.
Was he perfect guitarist for RHCP? Absolutely.
Was is Josh's fault that John left the band? Of course not.
Could RHCP go apart after John left? Seems so.
Even if Josh wouldn't be so good I'd still be grateful to him for that reason.

I feel great to have experienced this era. I saw them live in Atlanta on 4/14/2017, and they were amazing! Josh is an amazing artist and guitarist. He deserves all of the credit and recognition. That slap bass outro... Not my favorite Chilis album, but at least 3 songs I'd rate up with their best work, and this is one of them. The Longest Wave could be a Frusciante song it's so good. Wish Josh would do more like that but it proves he can grab your attention with beautiful and intricate guitar melodies. Josh definitely grew on me with this album, but he can still do more.

I maybe in the minority but I actually liked the direction in which RHCP were moving with Josh. It was getting better and they were exploring different sounds but yet kept their signature styles intact.
With John and the new albums sound very 1990s and not new. I liked the getaway more than unlimited love.
Same bro, Josh was like a soft breath of something that was not new but renewed and that was incredible.
The Getaway is really awesome indeed. Full of work that gets me deep. I've hardly listened to Unlimited Love t.b.h.; it doesn't seem to really strike something inside me, unfortunately.
Getaway is an awesome album, both Dream Cantine and Unlimited Love are not even close to it. This was such a fresh sound, compared to the recycled stuff they recently published :(

There are like 4-6 stages of sound of the chilli peppers over the different guitarists they have had. I love each and every stage this style with klinghoffer is really nice to hear. Every RHCP song hits me in the same unique and cool vibe, damn its really hard to maintain that same feel and flow in all their songs!! It has high nostalgia, some broken hearts and smt i can't explain.
