This was a great discussion Peter. Thanks so much. When you spoke of the covenants, it was very enriching.

Great discussion - I agree with other commentators- I also thought growing up- only differences - sabbath & diet ! It’s only as I started going to a Christian church (in my 50’s) that I started looking more into adventism & the belief around mark of the beast & not worshipping on Sunday & now realise the major differences 🤷🏼‍♀️🤦‍♀️

I was baptized in SDA when I was 11. I had no idea what the vows I took really meant- it was peer pressure plain and simple.
Many years later, after deep study and reflection I realized the deception. I left Adventism at 32 years of age after hearing and believing the Gospel.

Yes it’s very dangerous to do that to kids. Fine if it’s benign. But adventism isn’t. It should have an R rating and not let people be baptised until they’re 25!!! I’m glad you got out at 32! I was baptised at age 11, as well! But I didn’t leave until I was 54!

Emma, I'm just part-way through your discussion with Peter, but noticed that you felt a weight lift off when you realized you didn't HAVE to be an Adventist. I think many of us have felt this relief as we're being set free. Very good points you're making here.

So glad you did! And I’ve always learnt more about why I don’t agree with adventism - from the adventist apologists haha. Oh the irony!

I absolutely hate the term 'Sunday keeper'. It is a flat-out insult and slur from pious and sanctimonious Judaizers. The people who say this do not know what is in the heart of other Christians. These are hard-working, honest, God loving, and God fearing people who are just trying to make it in this hard world. That is not looking on the heart and sitting in pure judgment of people. These are the people who came together as a community after Hurricane Helene, especially in the south for the victims in North Carolina. These 'Sunday keepers' gave their time, money, heavy equipment, and even RVs and mini homes to people who have lost everything! They weren't worried about the Adventist Sabbath keepers and actually had the fruits of the Spirit of Christ!

"Sabbath keepers" are just modern day pharisees. They no more keep the sabbath than I do. Putting on their Sunday best, hiding out at church, gossiping about other Christians, instead of helping their neighbors and they give no thought to work they cause their servants while they cluck their tongues at them.

FUNNY ADVENTISM R BREAKING THE 9TH COMMANDEMENT WHILE CLAIMING THEY R COMMANDEMENT KEEPERS 😮😮

Right on, Bam Bam! When someone uses that phrase I usually point out that "Sunday keepers" don't actually "keep" Sunday, other than going to church if they go. It's almost like being racist. Pretty maddening. I can imagine the Jews during Jesus' time have the same arrogance toward gentiles.

Some will leave the Church and Some other from different Denominations join the Adventist Church. God has given us freedom of choice. Jesus is the righteous Judge for all of us. One day He will let us know who is true and who is false.

That’s true. However, some movements are dangerous for our children. I think adventism should not baptise anyone under 25.

We are already know Adventists are blasphemous heretics, and disgusting accusers of the brethren. It’s disgusting when you refer to the Adventist abomination as “ The Church.” Adventist cultists have no part in the real church. The body of Christ.

God gives us discernment, so we can make wise choice through study of The Scriptures. It is our responsibility to see His Salvation and Truth, so we are not lead away from Him..
