- In this video we head out to Hastings Point rock pools in NSW, Australia, to see what we can catch in the rock pools. I've used fish traps in freshwater creeks but never in tide pools so I was super curious to see what we would find. I hope you enjoy this short little vlog/video collaboration! Let me know what you think of this type of video as I love making them :)

It’s great to see young people getting out and enjoying the natural environment, I used to do this in my younger years also especially in the local rivers and streams here in the UK. It sure is amazing what nature serves up for us to find. Glad you had fun and keep up the thoroughly enjoyable content. Best wishes.
It was certainly a great time!! Thank you heaps 😊🙏
I love how this guy thinks noone knows what fishing waders are. LoL. In Austrailia they are called , "sweat pants" by locals
i love seaslugs they are beautifully shaped and coloured and overal interesting in their behaviour too.
I always love youth adventure videos!
Aren't those blue ring Octopuses poisonous? IDK, but it looks like you guys had a lot of fun. What about catfood in a trap? Stone fish are crazy dangerous, I guess you know that. Those guys are wearing water pants and you are just walking around like nothing can kill you!. You GO Kaity
Cool video! Love your trips to find fish in there natural habitats. I grew up on Long Island NY and spent a lot of time at the beach with a snorkel and mask. We would catch what ever we could find! This reminded of good times as a kid.
That's awesome 😊 Thank you for sharing!
As a commercial fisherman I'd advise bread in traps next time young lady
😮 😊
i dont know how your there without a snorkel googles and swim wear... just swimming along the shallow rocks looking at all the cool wild life
I was actually meant to bring my snorkel but I forgot it!! Next time 😊
They got the full Aussie fishing experience by catching blowies!!
are there crocodiles there ?
I'm always worried when I watch you , or keepingfishsimple that one of you is going to get eaten by a croc.
we have alligators where I live, but they're mostly harmless
If you look closely at 7:23 you ca see a couple of albino crocks.
@@bobbob-kc3de very nice !
Not here!! But a few hours North and you will find them 😊
If you can find a weed bank or atleast rocks with weed coverage there will be a whole different assortment of life, prawns and even blue rings will hang out in the weedy bits
Gold Coast sea way has heaps of big stone fish there
Sea slug are slow as heck❤
Looking like a gobe to me

Thank you heaps Cooper 😄
Don't you need a license to net in the ocean?
Not in Queensland, we can use cast nets to 12 ft drop and bait nets that max at about50 ft as well as crab pots and small bait traps like the ones used in the video.
after that size all netting is commercially licencedonly place we need a licence to fish is in stocked impoundments( dams) due to the fact some of our natives require brackish water to breed and with a great big concrete dam wall to stop them accessing brackish water the government and stocking associations keep restocking dams annually
Looked like a fun day out! 😎
It was super fun 😄
❤ Nice little video. 😊
Thank you 😊🙏
First comment :D
Well done!!
I wish the exposure was a bit dialed down.
Yes I'm really not sure why that happened 😭 I leave the camera on auto but the footage was shot with high exposure for some reason, maybe I bumped something
@@Kaityscichlids Yeah. Such things happen, but I'm glad the video showed up on my feed. ❤
@@v_kram awww, thank you ❤️
Great self control Kaity around those goodlooking guys.
Great video! It’s amazing the creatures you can find within an ecosystem if you take the time and patience to study it 🐠🐟🪼🐡🦈
