"Over road friendly"
Now this is what I wanted, more easier to build Elevated Rail over roads.
No more road anarchy which removes the pillars
No more pillars disappearing when building over roads
No more building tracks before roads

@@Bruh-xm7vm For those of you who have been following the mod for the past few months, we have received numerous issues regarding the zoning remaining after the elevated and surface metro tracks are placed. In order to temporarily rectify this issue, please either dezone under the tracks or use metro-over-road networks. Placing pedestrian paths in some areas may also work as well. We expect a fix in the next update.

@@clement304 While I am not on the dev team, the core functionality of what I would like to see already exists.
From traffic manager, I just want to control what lanes do what. The roads themselves have to calculate which lanes it can turn towards and whether or not there is a crosswalk. We also already have the ability to customize lights/stop signs. So the hope is just to add ui buttons to configure turns/crosswalks.
From MoM, I just want to make the metro go above ground too. Roads already can transition above/below, so it'd be nice to do it for metros.
The one function I would live that seems like it would take a good deal of work is stacking roads/rails on top of one another.
I would also need move it or something like road anarchy
get them on workshop, they are free!
@@clement304 That's what the options menu is for, if your running Cities Skylines on a potato then simply turn them off.

@@CitiesSkylines Can we please please please see this in the base game? I will pay actual real money for this, providing that a large portion of it goes back to the people who made it possible. You know this is what we want, and you know it's more than possible in the game. Just make it vanilla already! Also make vehicle selectors vanilla as well for all vehicles. Thank you!

1racerboy1 That would make a lot of sense but the mod should always exist so everyone can use it. Or it should be Integrated into the Mass transit DLC which many people already have

Metro is my favorite type of transportation in Cities: Skylines, but with new version of this mod it would be my favorite thing in the whole game. I really like to see it in game.

Quazsession Session I used to live in New York, And I just want to let you know that express trains are very efficient, we have some above ground sections in the other boroughs so do take that into account if you want it to be extra realisitc

Also most new York maps focus only on Manhattan like the one I'm currently building on

DangBoy2 the only issue is most elevated lines in New York City have 3 tracks rather than 2 or 4

what about on sidewalk subway stations?
come to Amsterdam, where Metro is above ground for around 80 percent of the tracks......And happily coexists with the tramlines...And have combined stations with trains........As I can get the game working again on a computer, I would definitely try this mod.

@@faisalzulkar9189 The sunset harbor dlc was built during my city with an extensive system system, so now I have to rip up the entire system and rebuild it again
Except the idiots didn't include the visual look of the underground subway tunnels of mom. Thats all I want, so what mod can just get me that visual Mom look with sunsets dlc?

Amazing. One of my biggest problems with the vanilla metro system was the inability to "stack" stations at variable depths. I had no idea MOM could do this!
I've been putting off getting MOM for quite some time but after seeing you're doing better over road rail and easy conversion of normal stations to metro you have me absolutely sold!

Fantastic Update. Cannot wait to try it out for myself. I love the quad tracks (very useful to allow 'express lines' to be built) and the fact I can convert metro stations to rail stations and vise versa. I could have a suburban line converted to metro very easily. Thank you for the update, keep up the good work.
this mod is the best of the game i cannot imagine playing without it. The community of CS is just amazing

More pillars + over road friendly + more easily convertible train stations = The best update to any mod ever in history 😍️
What we lack is an on-road, elevated and underground transfer station. It should have 2 elevated metro tracks and two underground metro track, and is built over a road. There is not a single asset for this kind of station, but they are everywhere in China.
East Pavilion-er I expect it to be developed for Mass Transit as a DLC.

Wow, I can't wait to get my hands on the latest update, as someone form the UK, we also have underground/metro systems that run above ground, London uses before underground and overground, Newcastle uses primarily overground, but does have sections underground, Manchester is exclusively overground I believe, although I think that system is classed as tram. I'm a big fan of transport, trains (and metro) in particularly. These new updates will certainly make metro more realistic and much more friendly when interacting with roads.

MOM is a bunch easier to understand, now. Thanks for this! Now we don't have to have local train lines + metro, but only need metro lines, leaving trains for intercity. Cool!

This Mod just got real! I’m super Hyped for Version 9, and I hope 3 track options and underground 4 track stations are also included
Firstly my mind was blown by the quad tracks, and then I heard about the per-track station customization... Oh my!
How much station customisation is there?
Ideally I’d like to see the stations decoupled from their entrances. That way you could place two platforms down, then place several entrances nearby wherever you want and connect them with pedestrian walkways.
Also, snapping extra platforms onto existing stations would be a nice way to upgrade them into interchanges.
They should have like a seperate GUI for selecting the exits location and make a way to add circles and change their colors to the exits
This mod is what got me to buy and start playing Cities Skylines. I was going through one of my phases of being interested in trains, and discovered a love for the delightfully brutal Chicago L. My current city has 165k cims and uses over-road metros HEAVILY, with a Chicago-style loop hub, and supported by a ridiculous amount of trams. A couple of our lines include 8-car, 720-pax CTA train sets which are completely necessary. I love it. I'd hate to live there, but it's great fun to design.

Fascinating video. I experimented with MOM when it first launched but found it a bit temperamental and went back to using the vanilla metro system with a few modded multi platform station assets while patiently waiting for an revamp of Metros by Colossal Order...still waiting! What has been showcased in this video appears to be light years removed from that first version. I think it's time to give MOM another go!

I hope I'm not the only noob that had a tough time getting started with the new Metro Overhaul mod. It turns out that when you create your metro lines, you MUST start at the Metropolitan Depot, define all your stops (at stations) and then return to the Depot to complete the line. I hadn't heard this in the announcements I saw, and it took me a while to figure out. And for me, my mouse cursor was VERY picky about when I clicked to complete the line. But it works, and it's spectacular!

@@watchkam_ Yeah only that, it didn't add quad tracks or express lines, convertable stations, different options for underground stations, island platforms, depots, fences, different track styles, over-road design, pillar styles. This mod is not just above ground metro, there is SO much more.

Would be interesting when underground stations could be converted into tram stations too. In Vienna where I live we have several tram lines running partly underground with stations also underground. Called U-Straba.
Needs to be in the game no doubt about it. There are so many good mods that should make their way into vanilla that way the features are better integrated with more bug support

I had MOM when it initially came out but took it out not being a fan of using anarchy tools.
Now that MOM is a thin again, I can think about services that go from above the ground to below the ground rather eloquently while keeping decent (though more liberal than what a train should appear) grades.
This is awesome, wish I could add this for consoles...

At first, I really hate metro. Although it's the best transit options but I can't enjoy it if on underground. This mod helps me love this transit choice again.

A good idea I have for the elevated subway stations is that the stations don’t come with roads BUT they snap to the road, making it easier to place in a city area

How do you enable cross-platform transfer? I cant seem to figure it out
I have a problem with this mod. When I build a station, there are no tracks... all the other parts work, but the stations do not have tracks, and the trains dissapear when they arrive to the station.
