As someone with a partial disability, these videos mean so much to me. 2019/2020 was the worst years for so many, married to a frontline worker, they were my loneliest years and Dodo kept me going. If these beautiful creatures can make it, then so can I and so can we as a species.

We think we're rescuing them, but really, they are angels here to rescue us! She looks so much like my BFF I lost last year. He loved doing those zoomies! He would dream and move all over just like that, too. I am so happy she got to run and move again! Thanks for sharing this heartwarming story. 💕
I'm not sure Skylar would have been the same if she couldn't run and be independent. But mostly I think it was her mom's love, perseverance and belief in her that truly got her up and moving again.
I'm so glad that Skyler was able to recover. I felt so bad for her and her owner, but seeing Skyler's healing progress was so heartwarming. She's such a sweet happy dog and now she can run along the beach again.

I love it when people love their dogs/cats etc. enough to do what this sweet girl did. The money and the time she put out for Skylar isn't something that a lot of people would do for an "animal". But she was more than just an animal to Olivia, she was family.
This was really touching to see--because of the before and after. It's the same thing that happens to humans. One day your life changes and you will never walk again. Many people would have put the dog down. Even as a highly active person, she didn't and took on the responsibility. If you aren't willing to do that for a dog? Don't bother getting one. You don't deserve one. Anybody can be here when the times are good. Who you really are, is who shows up when the times are bad.
We had a similar story with a doggie we had. The day will come when she’s older when her back legs will go ahead and give out. She will need your compassion again, and know when it’s time to say goodbye. For now, you’ve given her wonderful life, and that’s a beautiful thing.

That wasn't a miracle. That was a lot of hard work, expertise, and persistence on the part of many humans in the support of a well-loved dog which trusted those humans.

Basically, she never gave up because her owner never gave up on her... Owning an animal is a huge responsibility and one should also be prepared for being a caretaker through accidents and illnesses. I'm so glad that this beautiful girl wasn't abandoned, but instead was flooded with love that gifted her her fast recovery! Pets are neither toys nor gifts (the way that we present them with bowties and such I mean, because in reality animals are the gift of God to us 😊)
Skylar was dreaming of how soft the sand felt in her paws, and how cool the wind felt in her face as she ran faster and faster, and she knew she would make it back to the beach.

Great story. Dog resilience!! Probably want to start investing in leashes, though. I know they can be a pain for lazy humans, but then it’s like...fewer hits by cars. N’ stuff.
We don't even know how it happened. It didn't sound like it happened out on a walk. And to suggest that not having a dog on a leash 24/7 means the human is lazy is quite rude. Most dogs (especially the really energetic ones) need to be able to sprint freely on a regular basis in order to be happy and tire themselves out. Of course not directly next to a road or if the dog is known to attack others.
So many people & vets would of just said "put hert down". I'm so glad she loved Skylar enough to go ahead w/the surgery and spend all that extra time so she could not only walk, but run again. True inspiration ♥
