Hi Mallory, I’m a huge fan of your work! I’m working on a sunburst hexie blanket of yours, any tips for keeping these half hexies straight? I’m working with size 5 acrylic yarn and it’s shaping up to be more of a pac-man. My full sunburst hexies don’t quite lay flat but I think when they’re put together in the blanket the tension of the work will help them lay flat. Since these are end pieces though, I’m not so sure they’ll shape up to look like a half hex. Thanks for any advice. Your channel is an incredible resource.

Hi - have just found your channel and enjoying the projects very much. I must be honest, I have learnt to crochet watching Lori Hold of Bee in my Bonnet in USA. Loving the way you weave in your ends, this is definitely my preferred method now, you have converted me LOL. QUESTION please, are you using USA Terms? re crochet stitches of UK Terms. I am very used to US Terms but I was just wondering. Thanks for some lovely videos and look forward to your next one. Linda

I love your videos. But the gorgeous multi colored yarns are very expensive.

I feel like an idiot for asking this, but what is the purpose of cutting your yarn after each "round"? If you're crocheting the half-hexagon in one, solid color, can you not continue crocheting with the same yarn? I suppose you would have to turn your work between each row, but I would rather see the back of some rows/"rounds" rather than weave in so many ends. Perhaps I am too lazy to attempt this pattern.

Not an idiot! But, that is exactly the problem with the half hexie. If you flip your work then you see the back of the puff stitches (which looks pretty messy). I tend to want my hexies to all look consistent, especially if all my other hexies of the blanket look a certain way. This is also why I don’t usually finish off the top and bottom of my hexie blankets-because, I too, am lazy and can’t be bothered 😅♥️

@nautikrallcrochet thanks for letting me know! In that case, this pattern is beautiful, but it is, definitely, not for me!

What does the cardigan look like?

Why do you have to cut off at the end of each round if you’re not changing colors? It looks beautiful but I don’t understand why you have to cut the yarn after each row. 🧐

If you didn’t and just flipped them you’d have the back of the puff stitches on the front of your work, then the front of some clusters and then the back of the others. If you want then all on the “right” side, matching the rest of the sunbursts in the blanket, then you need to cut and start from the right side again.
