- Hi everyone,
This tutorial will show you how to crochet the "Finley" Starburst Hexagon (hexie)--it's the same version as the starburst squares I've used in several of my patterns...just turned hexie!
The full written pattern for this motif can be found for free on my website here:
www.nautikrall...
or the ad-free pdf can be found in my Etsy and Ravelry pattern shops here:
ETSY: nautikrall.ets...
RAVELRY: www.ravelry.co...
Yarn used in this tutorial is Rustic DK from thecreativeknitter.com in colour "Seafoam" with a 4.5mm (size 7) hook.
Happy crocheting!!

Just watched your easy to follow video.I’ll certainly try this pattern. I have a lot of stress in my life at the moment and your happy bright cheerful voice has helped if only for a few minutes.thank you
You crochet so smoothly and everything looks so even and relaxed and you do your stitches so quickly.
Do you have a tutorial on how you’ve developed such a smooth and fairly quick stitching?
You make it look so effortless.
Great little square -- thanks for this easy-to-understand tutorial.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. As a beginner (only done solid granny before) I found this so easy to follow!! I'm intending to
follow the Nature’s Palette Hexie CAL but with some mystery yarn that I've signed up to here in the UK. Don't worry I have converted the US terms to UK terms in my notebook so that I don't get confused when going through it. Looking forward to buying some neutral yarn now to do round 4 and join the hexies that I've done.
Do you have a video on how to make this a half hexie?
Magnifique comme d'habitude merci beaucoup ❤🤗🌸
Loved it! Thank you!
Love this! Thank you 💜💜💜
Wonderful podcast ❤. My question is, if i want to make the hexies larger, as i am using fingering weight yarn, can i just repeat the 4th round until i am happy with the size hexie. So happy i came across your channel.😊
I love your channel so much!🎉 You’re the best teacher. Can you tell me if it’s possible to join hexagons after I’ve made my pile of them? I am struggling so hard with join as you go. I’ve been trying for over a month, daily, and I just don’t get it. Thinking if I just make my hexagons in a pile like I do my granny squares I can connect them later? Please help.
Of course!! There’s a cjayg:

And there’s also slip stitching!

Lovely Mallory!!
Thank you!!❤
Where did you get the variegated yarn for your blanket on the short video with the grey joining yarn. Those colors are simply stunning. Love the subtle variegation.
All my yarns are solid.
I am also looking for a half hexie on this!
Newbie here.
