I never usually comment on videos but this was the best explained video I ever watched!! I’m still somewhat of a beginner but this video was so clear to follow I was able to make it first shot no mess ups!! Thank you so so much!!!!
Hi, I just found your channel yesterday, and you totally blew me away with your crochet projects. You cleared up the questions I had. You also explained a lot of reasoning behind why you did certain stitches differently, which made perfect sense. Thank you.
Hello. I've really enjoyed your granny hexagon videos and have now made my blanket, thanks to you. I'm now worried about the border. The problem is that I have made five-round hexagons, with the sixth round being join as you go. So the spikes on the top and bottom edges are deeper than those in your border video, and I don't know how to fill the gaps. Do you have any ideas? Would love to hear from you.
Without seeing your piece I can’t quite visualize the issue but one thing you might be able to try is working along those areas with different heights of stitches to help straighten it out. Sc, hdc, dc, tr etc … I do this often with chevron style blankets and show how I do it on those videos. If that’s something that you think would apply to your project, let me know and I’ll send you a link to the playlist. 🧶
I’m sorry , Nic, I just made a sample. This was a requested video on how to make and join hexagons. I need to, though , I still have loads of this yarn left 😬 💕
@Play Hooky with Me thank you for the reply! It’s Beautiful yarn . Always need projects in the stash for a rainy day! Look forward to seeing what you do with this some time in the future! Love your channel!
Hello, do you have a clearer video? I have no idea which stitch you are putting your hook into for the second row and can’t figure out the double crochet trick thst replaces the chain 2-3/how to start the second row with the chain 2-3 if we can’t do the trick
If you go back to the standing stitch segment I have a link (top right corner) that shows in more detail how to do it. The standing stitch replaces the chain 2 or 3. I’m sorry if you can’t see where to put the stitch. If you are on your phone you can pause and zoom in or change your settings to slower motion. Otherwise, hopefully you’ll find a video that you find more useful. 💕
Hi. I'm having an issue. I followed this tutorial; but my hexagon won't lay flat, and is very warped and wavy. The only difference is that I'm using a larger hook (12mm) as I'm trying to quickly make larger hexagons. I tried again with a hook closer to yours (4mm), but it kept trying to curl up , and is still a bit wavy. Is there a way for this pattern to work with larger hooks?
Yes, absolutely you can make this work with a larger hook but you need to make sure it’s a yarn weight that is suitable for the hook size you’re wanting to use. What size hook does your yarn suggest? If it recommends, say, a 5 mm hook then you can probably go up 1 hook size without issues.
Hey everyone, hope you enjoy the video! Here is a link to the companion video for joining these : ruclips.net/video/loW2JxkxXnQ/видео.html

How many skeins of the cream and colours did you use and how big was the finished blanket? It’s really lovely❤️

Cantiknya. Love it.
thank you! x
I love these! If you made an afghan/blanket out of these, how many hexagons and half hexagons did you use?
Sorry I missed this, Mary. I did not do a complete blanket for this. It was a request video so I made a sample for the technique only.
how would u do the fourth row of the hexagon?
Follow the same steps you took in round .
Thank you so much ❤
