It doesn’t matter if it was an accident or not, Janet and Justin were both involved and it was only Janet that got crucified for it, her music was pulled from radio, her music videos were banned from music channels, her records sales declined and nobody would sponsor her tours so she couldn’t tour for a while. Meanwhile Justin threw Janet under the bus and his career continued to thrive while he used Janet, Britney as well, to further his career.
Janet invited Justin to her show to be her surprise guest, Justin didn't use anybody for his career.

In response to the comment about furthering anyone's career, Justin had her feature on one of his songs. But this comment is everything & so true! No excuses. She took it all, and handled the whole situation like a pro, regardless of the impact (& attack on herself & her career if we're honest!). It only made me love & respect her more than I already do!

People especially black people have a delayed reaction. The only reason JT is being held accountable now is because of Brittany Spears & her personal issues she's going through with her family. People sided with JT over JJ. She was black balled and he went on to sell millions of albums and make millions of dollars while winning countless of awards
Janet went on to have several #1 albums, successful movies, several tours and a best selling book too. She is inducted the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Black media held her down. She was honoured on many award shows and music programmes
Just wished Pharrell and Timbaland STOP working with Dustbin Timberfake that's part of the reason he was still able to have a career after this incident.

TV Talk Show a like (or such as) The Real are obsessed about this because they're irrelevant, unlike Janet Jackson, who they've themselves never even met before in their entire lives.
Personally, when i was a child i did seen the halftime show because i am a huge fan of Janet Jackson. And to my Recollection i do remember seeing Justin Timberlake tearing off a piece of her costumes. But when that had happen she looked up at Justin like "wtf did you just do man" with an very shocked look upon her face about that moment. So how was that moment suppose to be just about Justin just pulling off the black part to revealed the red, like that doesn't make any sense. I believe that what Justin did to Janet WASN'T no damn "accident", I still believe up till this day that Justin Timberlake really did that out of spike. But yet Janet's career was hanging on by a string because of J.T careless action. And what makes it so much worse is that he waited years later to actually finally apologizes to Janet knowing damn well the damage was already done. A real man would take full responsibility for his actions instead of running away and letting Janet Jackson "The Queen Of POP" behind to straighten out that whole mess with the press. Janet did not and i mean she DID NOT deserved to have been humiliated like that and Justin knew that. If Janet couldn't do anymore halftime shows since that day then i believe that Justin shouldn't do any halftime shows as well. But since that ship has sail, they might as well bring Janet back out to do another halftime show since they've done that for Justin because it's not fair that he got offer back and not Janet Jackson #TheQueenOfPOP i mean it's not like they started this whole halftime superbowl show, it was actually Michael Jackson who started it all. And when those people booked Janet his sister to do a halftime show. All the community and press and journalist and whatever else pretty much black balled Janet and that wasn't fair. I know that all of this happen years ago but since this discussion and topic came back around. Ok so I hate to be that person... but I find it extremely ironic that this BS that Justin was involved in...in regards to Janet ... she caught all the flack and Justin part of the song was “ I’ll bet I’ll have u naked by the end of this song “ intentionally rips off a piece of her wardrobe ( which to me seem planned ) but for some reason... in my mind looking back there’s NO DAMN WAY at that time that whoever was in charge of making sure no funny business was happening and making sure standards and practices were to happen unless they just let it pass for financial reasons and were like “ this is gonna give us views and money “ ! Janet got ridiculed and embarrassed all because of Justin ! It would mean more if she was asked back and apologized too by the association and Justin publicly as well

I was wondering that if Janet was that famous, why did I never hear a single song from her on TV during my childhood? At that time, I watched US-UK pop through MTV channel. Now, I know that because of this scandal, her music got banned on so many platforms, including on TV.

a woman can’t have a pasties just for decoration? janet is known to have piercings so her having a pasty on her breast isn’t something that i would think would’ve made it look like it was on purpose? what would janay gain from the that when she was already a solidified legend at the time of her sb show. if you pay attention closely, part of her outfit ripped during rhythm nation. yes it was on purpose but it wasn’t supposed to happen that way. it was supposed to real a red lace material once he pulled it off. he pulled it off too hard + the outfit was already ripped so it was bound to happen. there’s a video of her crying once it was over. it was blown out of proportion in my opinion and janets career was effected negatively.
The nipple piercer Byriah Dailey mentioned Janet's stylist came into his shop and bought a single nipple ring the weekend before the Superbowl in Houston and was told to watch the the half time show for a surprise. Janet had her costume tailored that same weekend. It was planned.
