Many years ago, when my youngest son was about 9-10 years old, our neighbors gave him a baby goat that was weened.. his name was Jed after Jed Clampett of the Beverly Hillbillies.. he loved Fritos .. my son would go out on the porch and rattle a bag of Fritos and here he’d come..

I am with Mojo on the brown eggs but nutritionally they are the same. Mojo is so laidback and affectionate. I am glad he is protective of the goats. There are people who don't like baby goats but I think they are adorable. Thanks for sharing them with us.

You made a comment about Mojo not barking about things, my service dog never barked if I was having an issue or fell, but if another dog or animal came around or a person she did not like … she would bark like crazy. So it is normal not to bark. A trainer told me that when I left the apartment, put her in the crate and she won’t bark, but lay quietly. Maintenance would tell me that they could enter and she would curl up in the corner of the crate and not make a sound. That is their instinct. BTW, I love all the newborn kids. Mojo is protecting his new babies. He seems to be happy out showing you the new babies. He's such a good LGD. The Mama's are protecting their babies too. Looks like the Cheetos are a big hit. I have 3 horses that will do almost anything for a peppermint disc. Just the sound of it being unwrapped brings them. Like crack cocaine for horses. The goats Ben and Jeri will occasionally eat one. The chickens love cracked wheat. Fun to watch your babies. Their adorable. We've got a foal coming late March. We're hoping for a boy. It's always exciting.

I give my chickens dried mealworms every day. I have a tub of live mealworms in my fridge all the time. I feed them to a few of my parrots and my sugar gliders. On real cold days, I give my chickens live worms as a special treat. I love all the babies!!!

I have a couple goats, one that I bottle raised after momma didn’t want to take care of, she only wanted the strongest of the twins. But I want glad to become a goat mom to Daisy. When she was weaned we bought a weathered Nigerian dwarf as a companion. Now Darrell and Daisy are happy to come greet me every time I bring in graham crackers to the yard after work.

Good Morning guy's, this is how much i love yor channel ❤️. I came home from church yesterday and had to take my Barron to the emergency he's had heart disease for about a year now. He's been having a hard time at night. Anyway i lost him is has given me 16 wonderful years. 😢 all day yesterday and this morning but now with Rachel and you Kevin it's making it easier to cope. God bless you and yr farm and God bless my Barron. He's with God now..

Ah, mealworms. I'm borderline phobic but my animals loved them and they are so nutritious. Mine were live though. Sugar gliders hold them with their tiny stripey fingers and eat them like the best ice cream they ever tasted!

Isn’t it great to live in the country. We have a Great Pyrenees, Heidi who is so gentle with smaller animals. She watches over our chickens and our family and is so sweet. Now if someone comes to our property that doesn’t belong that’s a different story and she will show them the door ASAP. They are remarkable dogs who just know what to do . Their instincts are on point, even if the humans don’t understand what’s up they do. I just love your pup with the baby goats, what a wonderful protector. Enjoy your lives, you are blessed.

My grandpa owns a goat farm, so I grew up with goats. I love them so much, so precious!
That's so awesome that MOJO doesn't bark and that he stands guard. My experience with LGDs is they bark all night long. They belong to my neighbors. "30 yards from my house " they bark all night and there's nothing around. I've gone out many many times to check to see what they are barking at. Maybe they're hearing other dogs barking idk.
Dogs can hear and smell things we can not. They don't wait for predictors to come near the fences.
@@cherylclark8650 yes, they yell, " stay away I'll get you", to the predators. My neighbor does animal rescue, mainly dogs, but she's had goats, chickens, peacocks, horses, cats, ponies, etc. My bedroom window faces her backyard so I'm on alert whenever they are. Need to get some of those "see in the dark" binoculars to see if I can discover what is setting them off. We all live on a dirt road so sometimes it's just someone driving home late. However, we've had bobcats and mountain lions in our area in the past, as well as coyotes most nights. I know when they come down the road between midnight and 2 am as each dog at each home announces their presence as they approach and pass. They leave about 5:30 to 6:00 am. We are surrounded by open spaces and just a few houses, so they go out and hunt ground squirrels and wild rabbits. Helps keep their population down so they don't eat all our garden plants.
I'm not sure but I think most bark all night to ward off predators, the barking kinda signals "yea I'm still around, you better not come near"; their tone and how frequently they bark tends to shift if a threat really is there though

You can't beat a good Farm dog or donkey with a stick a good guard dog and guard donkey are worth their weights and gold!!!!!! Even best paired together sometimes donkeys can get a little overzealous donkeys are better at warning people for incoming trouble that sometimes best to leave them guarding the perimeter!!!! But still much love to all guard dogs and donkeys!!!! Especially Mojo cuz he's just so handsome and cute he was a heartbreaker as a human in his last life!!!!🥰😍🤩

My sweet hubby got me my first 6 chickens 2 years ago for Christmas. This summer we built a bigger run, coop & chicken barn & doubled our little flock. Next is ordering baby chicks so my grand babies can enjoy them. But those goats. 😍😍😍. I told sweet Mooney I really really need one of those … or three????

Hello Kevin and Rachel, MOJO is such a sweet adorable dog. I would love to have a puppy he fathered. Seeing the babies (goats) next to the chickens I can see just how small they really are. So precious 💖. You always end up with more boys than girl goats. Always love the uniqueness of each of the babies. Take care.

Mojo is so proud because not one fox or coyote or dare I say badger? Depending on what part of the USA u are but I'm sure the south!? MOJO is rightfully proud because he did his dog job!!!! To perfection!!!!!! No predators in any kind of way got to the mothers and the newborns during the night an early morning hours!!!!! So Mojo obviously takes his job very seriously and ensures the safety of his fellow Farm companions!!!!!!🥰😍🤩
