- At last, it appears the long running sequel show to That’s So Raven aka “Raven’s Home” has finally been put to rest after 6 long seasons. Multiple sources are reporting the show will not be making any more episodes for the foreseeable future but, unlike the Bunk’d news that happened a few months ago, there is an interesting twist that is coming with this news, that I will get into detail about later in the video.

Its wild that the Raven franchise has no movie or feature length special.
It got a crossover with Bunk'd a few years ago (spinoff of Jessie)
However one half is considered a Bunk'd episode and the other a Raven's Home episode
Because they do 2 to 4 part specials instead always have since early 2000s

Anyone could’ve seen this coming lol, if they have no sets to film what else would they do? The “story” itself was also bookended, so there was no reason for it to continue anyways. I get you were probably just making a joke, I just wanted to express that this was a logic move on Disney’s part.

I remember when that episode and Hannah Montana’s diabetes episode were delayed for an entire year but we had already seen the episode on Disney Channel On Demand or RUclips long before copyright claims were a thing. At least the Hannah episode, they had to reshoot scenes to appease parents. They waited too late to premiere the Raven episode which was when Cory In The House season 2 was just starting! That episode had already aired in Canada on April 2006!

It took me 7 years to realize the creator of Raven's Home also made Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja. I also grew up with both of these shows.

I actually liked the later seasons after Chelsea and her son left better. I thought it felt more true to the spirit of That’s So Raven when they were back in the old house and it was funnier.

@@jeremiahstephens. I actually think what happened is that Fuller house finally ended. It uses the same set as that so Raven. They both started at the same time meaning that Raven’s home had to make Chicago the main setting for the first four seasons.
I kind of preferred the different tone of the first few seasons. Felt like the characters had grown up, lived their lives, and changed, but not too much.
I’m sad that this show is ending, not for the fact that it’s ending, however the fact that every other Disney Channel show is seemingly getting canceled….especially Villains, because it’s the last shred of anything Disney XD related to exist. Looks like we are seeing the dark times of Disney here with all these reboots.

I’ve been saying that the last episode actually felt final. And I feel like the next step should be to make a movie! That’s So Raven has had discussions of making a movie as far back as 2005! And I think now would be the best time to do it! Bringing in the entire cast of the show’s run plus Tanya and Victor!
I feel like seeing the return of Nia, Levi, and Tess one last time for a movie, and including Cory in the cast for closure on the situation with Alice’s parents, picking up right where the series ended would be great.(Also include Dona Cabona as a cameo)
For the plot I could see it going like this potentially:
Raven finally get her dream job as a fashion designer, and she gets a huge opportunity to work for a famous actress or something. How Levi and Chelsie could tag along is that the company has seen what Chelsie does in order to help Raven and remembers what happened to save the fashion show for Donna Cabona.
Donna could come in as they also want to shoot a documentary on Raven and need Donna for it cause she helped her launch her career. For Neil and Ivy, Ivy could’ve been invited to walk on the runway for the show, and she needs Neil as support, so she brings him as her plus one. Victor could be the caterer, since maybe at the beginning of the movie a chef that’ll be at this event, could go and visit the Chill Grill and love it.
Tessa could either fall into two places. A cameo at the beginning of the movie, or have a conisdence where she got picked up for her rapping talent or something.
And Cory idk, maybe he could’ve become like a body guard for the president or something, tying into Cory in the House, or he could surprise Alice, as he can come home or something. But it’d be cool to see Cory return for the movie as well.
It felt like a finale but I think they should've had Nia, Devon, Levi, Tess, Chelsea at booker's graduation and the family hugging each other one last time. Now thats a finale
@@Dred0n iirc the sixth season was supposed to be 20 episodes and got cut down bc of the strikes, i feel like the strikes and/or scheduling conflicts couldve prevented that from happening
Just like Bunked I thought Raven’s Home would never end. I remember watching the show when it premiered in 2017 and around the 3rd season I dropped out but I think it had a pretty nice ending
All I can say is wow what a run Raven’s Home has had, it is now the 2nd longest running Disney Channel live action series ever behind Bunk’d. But while it is sad to say goodbye to Raven Baxter at least for now we don’t have to be sad for very long cause this fall we’re going back to New York beyond Waverly Place.

@@Joshua-zt5cm Yes it is I believe they are in the middle of filming and they announced the title Wizards Beyond Waverly Place at Disney’s upfront last week, it’s going to be developed by Scott Thomas and Jed Elinoff who also developed Raven’s Home, which is actually why Raven’s Home is ending cause they are using that show’s main house set for Wizards. The series is scheduled to be released this fall on both Disney Channel and Disney+.
Better conclusion that the icarly sequel it seems. That ended on a cliffhanger of seeing the mom.

I think the show ended on a good note. Everyone's story was wrapped up by the end of season 6. Booker Graduated and Raven finally became a full fashion designer. A Thundermans Sequel Series was also just announced this morning but so far it says only Max , Phoebe & Chloe are coming back.
I have Disney channel on my tv in the background almost all day every day and they legitimately do not play live action series anymore. Movies sure but series absolutely not. Not even ads for them anymore… I prefer animation personally but it is weird to witness
I've noticed the same thing. I prefer animation too but it's kinda unsettling to me. Disney Channel seems to be doing the best out of the other channels animation wise but it was always known for its sitcoms. Seeing everything new get canceled without even running re-runs feels like a bad omen for the channel.
They sometimes play Jessie, which seems like a weird choice but I'm not complaining. But when they do air Jessie, it's usually the final episodes. It does feel very strange though, because there used to be a definitive difference between the Disney JR block and regular Disney. Now it blends together. It makes absolutely no sense to be airing Bluey at 5PM.
Honestly, I wish they'd bring that the Throwback Thursday they'd air early mornings on Thursdays.
It was so funny hearing raven tell Cricket that he wasn't invited to that Christmas party because he was grounded, yet her character was always getting in trouble in That's So Raven. Both characters are so funny.
The spin-off sounds like a combination of “The Prince and The Pauper” AND “Cory in the House.”
I feel like with Raven's Home ending and Wizards getting a new seires i feel like we're getting a soft reset for Disney either this may mark the end for the expanded universe and Wizards will be their swan song (makes sense, Wizards to this day is considered one of their most successful and beloved creations and imo it would be a nice way they could reasonably end it)
Or this will effectively be the end of a phase as we enter the next era in the Disney multiverse

I honestly think we should give the Alice spinoff a chance. A lot of people kept saying how its gonna fail, and how it’ll probably only last 2 seasons like Cory in the House did. All I can say is, Raven is directing and producing this show, so I think it’ll be good

I'm not against original ideas at all, but I wish Disney and Nick still ran reruns of their older shows too. It would help attract an older audience, while also providing more variety and enjoyment for the younger generations. Nowadays, all I can find on cable is Spongebob, Phineas & Ferb, Jessie, and Gravity Falls with the occasional throwback movie if I'm lucky. The only channel making a true effort in my opinion is Cartoon Network's Adult Swim with Courage The Cowardly Dog, Dexter's Laboratory, Ed, Edd, & Eddy, and Billy & Mandy. As someone who can't afford streaming, this would be a Godsend. I know they need to make money, but how much would it cost them to show more reruns? Other channels do it all the time.

I heard about this earlier today, and im still sad 😔. In the past 7 years, Raven's Home was 1 of my favorite non animated Disney shows and it will be missed.
I’m honestly surprised it took this Long for Raven’s Home to End, and this comes from someone who stopped after Season 2.
I'm excited for the Wizards reboot ever since David Henrie kept teasing it on his IG. I've been long out of my Disney Channel phase, but I have high hopes / expectations for this one. The network's always been pretty shady canceling seasons after four and reworking shows into new titles to avoid giving them a substantial raise so I'm not surprised it's still happening.
If I had a nickel for every time Disney Channel did a show where an actress played two identical looking characters I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice
I think some season 2 listings for Pretty Freekin' Scary appeared on the WGA website so I think that's going on, I think Villains could be safe but for now it's up in the air. I feel like Raven's Home and Bunk'd were only kept around just so they can have a legacy show around with so much other stuff being screwed over lol.
A season two for Pretty Freakin Scary was alleged a long time ago, but now people are saying it's more likely than not that it'll get cancelled.
As for VOVV, it's the best live action thing Disney has had for a long time, in my opinion. I know Isabella is doing that Stranger Things play right now and Malachi was doing Zombies 4, but I do hope that the show eventually comes back for a season three.

In my personal opinion I felt as though the show ended after the fourth season! Season five just felt way too different from the previous four, and I liked that it was originally very different from the first show cuz it showed how their lives moved on and changed, it was interesting! Still sucks that it ended but Disney could actually come back if they play their cards right!
I did not know this show went up to 6 seasons. I stopped watching after the 4th season finale. And just as you mentioned, I have no idea on what those other shows were (excluding Bunk’d).
I am so glad that Raven's Home ended on a good note instead of a cliffhanger. I think they actually got the chance to end the story more properly knowing the situation. However the spin-off Alice In The Palace remind me of Corey's In The House when he and his dad living the life in the White House being the head chef for the president of the United States and befriended his daughter.
You definitely need to watch Raven's Home because its kept the same energy and fun tone as the original plus returning characters like Raven's mom Tanya and and the famous bully Alana played by Adrienne Bailon returned in the 5th and 6th season.

I figured this for months if you watch the final episode, it seems like everything got wrapped up pretty nicely, Raven got what she wanted. Booker went off to college. I don’t really know how they can continue it without changing the story again.
Based on how Disney is just putting out sequel and remake movies for the past decade and a half, I don't see that changing for their Disney channel sitcoms anytime soon.

i like watching new disney channel shows and im an adult and i think that when raven's home ended was pretty good as well. i feel differently about Bunk'd cause i feel like the show could go on forever having new kids coming to the camp every season, the concept of the show is just so fun and its what keeps me watching cause im nostalgic for when i went to summer camp as a kid

For real no one talks about it aside to say it's similar to WOWP and made by the Lab Rats people. Personally, taking nostalgia AWAY, I think VOVV is better than both of those shows. Not talked about enough.
I didn't even hear about Saturdays being cancelled until this video! It had good potential (even though I would've tweaked/changed some things), it was one of the only decent new Disney shows, and one of the only shows in general that wants to give spotlight to the dark-skin Black girls, especially with her natural hair 😢😢It's like even when the network tries something different or gives people opportunities, they demolish it, it's unfortunate.
But I haven't been keeping up with Raven's Home either (especially since Nia's friend was annoying/cliche, I didn't wanna deal with her), but I'm sick of all these reboots...And idk how many times they're going to do the thing where it's 2 identical looking characters in 2 different social classes switch lives/whatever the case may be (Prince & the Pauper)...Disney always repeating the same stuff over and over (even on something like Jojo's Circus, they did the same thing with her princess cousin where they got confused for each other 🤦🏾♀🤦🏾♀

So on the topic of the multiverse, since both Wizards and Phineas and Ferb are coming back and Hamster & Gretel season 2 is happening at some point (which is in the same universe as Phineas and Ferb), I think we’re safe for quite a while on that front

Didn't grow up with Ravens Home per se, but I did check it out when it first premiered and watched the original few seasons with the og cast. Really enjoyed it. Not at all surprised the show got cancelled, but I am very relieved that the final epispde had a nice ending, otherwise I would've been pretty upset that the show didn't get to have a proper goodbye.

when ravens home first came out i was 10 and i watched pretty often even though i didnt really grow up with thats so raven. after i heard that the actors who played chelsea,nia, and levi weren't coming back for s5 i stopped watching but id still keep up with it

@@Missmagazinebura They don’t have any live action shows. They cancelled a lot of them like Erin and Aaron, Side Hustle and I think they cancelled That Girl Lay Lay and Young Dylan. They never give shows a chance. The only live action show left is The Really Loud House but it’s basically just The Loud House in live action form.

I watched a bit of the first four seasons, and it was fine. I have to praise the intro for those seasons, though. It's very catchy and I'm sure that fans of That's so Raven love it.

istg i sometimes go over to disney channel to see whats on there and they show bluey most of the time im there. its kinda odd to see and back then they used to show reruns of the older shows like around 11 at night but they dont do that no more
I would love to see a video on Secrets of Sulphur Springs! It's actually a very good show, very different from any other disney channel show
