Putting your back foot in the pocket (Dip) behind the rear wheel between the tail & the wheel will make make things much easier. When you put your foot directly on the "center" of the tail, it keeps the board & you from making any kind of rotation. by moving your rear foot to a slightly off center of the tail you can do rotational tricks more effortlessly. Keeping your back foot directly on the center is good for kickflips & ollie's but not what you want to do when your doing 180's for 360 flips or any other rotational tricks. It took me almost two years of consistent skating to figure this out. Once your aware of this your skating will improve tremendously in a short amount of time. The position of the back foot is the KEY to unlocking the the doors to skateboarding.
