The bike is looking awesome with all the work done to it! And your video's are very informative!

This will be done by spring. My concern was in the clearance
If I seen this video earlier, I would've ordered the pegs instead of new gripping and hand guards (progrip 714 and Tusk D-Flex).
I probably could use the stock pegs from the KLR 650 until then. But, the rubber mounting was made me ordered Tusks for the 650 and better gripping + hard rubber surfaced and water/ mud.

Nice! Two main points of contact, hands and feet. You got some good hand grips with some protection. Tusk makes some great stuff at a affordable price! Man, after seeing everyone’s 650’s here on RUclips, wish I never sold mine now. Had some great times on it, then just went all in on it and bought nothing but 2 cycle race type bikes after. Now I’m getting back into the dual purpose bikes. These 250’s, are light and that 6th gear is awesome!

@@thenorthwoodz I gotta admit, I do enjoy my 650. But, every time I get in the 250 and take it off-roading. It makes me want to trade the 650 for something in the 300-400cc range that much more off-road capable and not as heavy

@@RockNDrums650 I totally agree with you there. That’s the main reason I let my 650 go. Definitely was nice on the road though and had descent capabilities for the dirt. Seemed like every time I rode mine hard off road I would end up breaking something.

@@thenorthwoodzI want to mention. If you don't mind a trip to Michigan. I do have my KLR currently listed to see what's out there.
If you don't mind a project. Previous owner abused it and not in the good way. Let's say I had to replace pretty much everything that for it to run. Starter solenoid went out this summer and replaced that.
The project part. For some reason the clutch keeps sticking or isn't disengaging fully.

@@RockNDrums650 Thanks for letting me know. At the moment I’m not looking for any new projects. However, I could mention it to people I know. What year and how much ? Also if you got a link to the listing I could relay them to it. After making sure the cable is adjusted properly and the clutch arm is released. Does the clutch seem to stick all the time, hot or cold ? Or does it stick only after sitting for a while then works after riding?
