Fix to make it work in 1.16:
-Make sure it is built in the nether wastes biome
-Replace all the spawn platform building blocks with magma blocks, this way only zombiefied piglins spawn
And that's pretty much it. In my testing, I converted all spawn platforms to magma blocks and got around 136 Gold Blocks Per hour! A bit better rate than in 1.15 😮
you hinted you'd release a new better gold farm for 1.16 than the easy one from today, is it worth waiting or is it more efficient to build this one?

Pro Tips:
Contruct an item filter system by these following items
- Gold Nuggets
- Gold Ingots
- Feather
-Rotten Flesh
Then the unfiltered items (Gold Swords, Raw Chicken) will be leaded on an auto-smelter so now you can get extra nugget and even free food.
Place turtle eggs on the top of the carpets so they will automatically drop down into the killing chambers.
After you finish, make sure you collect all the xp or you will experience lag if you enter the nether again later.

If you guys are experiencing loud minecart noises because they bug out and keep moving, I found a fix where if you reload textures with F3+T it gets rid of the noise :)

vikas mathur Yes you can. In ilmango’s original gold farm, anvils were used but if you don’t have an iron farm yet, grindstones are a cheaper alternative.

If there's still someone building this farm on 1.16, I have some very useful tips:
1 - Use Frost Walker boots to avoid taking damage from magma blocks. This will make the job A LOT easier.
2 - Make sure to have a room of at least 40 blocks at all directions from the center block not leaving the nether wastes biome before start building the farm.
3 - Have at least a stack of spare magma blocks and glass because you never know what could happen.
4 and MOST IMPORTANT - Only build the borders of every spawning platform first and make sure to finish the glass layer before finishing the platforms. Ghast spawning can really be a pain in the ass to deal with while building this farm.
for the last tip as i understand that what u are saying is completely true but u can also turn difficulty to peaceful for the time being

1muvwndr im not too sure about that, besides, you cant afk in it from the designs ive seen. you can only wait for them and then hit them until they die, which gets xp way less.

@@1muvwndr It doesnt. gnembons Endermini, one of the most efficient endermen farms out there, is slower than this one giving 30 xp in 2 mins, maybe longer. Im not done. Guardianf farms spouting 38k spawns per hour gives out 30 lvls in a little over 40 seconds, and this, is 25 seconds. get ur maths right.

so i'll give you guys a little note here:
1. i just need 1 pig with name
yes, i name tag 4 pigs there,but my friend accidentally shot the name tagged one so i have to name tag the new one so the new one that i name tagged aggro to me instead of my friend
2. i barricade the name tagged pig to prevent accident shot or i accidentally fly towards them (i think this is unnecessary)
3. the glass top roof not need to be precise as long as it's closed and prevent ghast from spawning
4. when ghast spawn while you building this farm you can tank ghast attack to prevent glass or magma block destroyed(if you can't hit the damn thing like me)

@@amir6729 I believe you can, but you don't need to. The guys were just flexing some gold blocks, you can use any building block on that case. On the spawing platforms tho, the magna blocks are absolutely essential. I don't recall the version change, but only zombie pingman can spawn on magma blocks and combining this with building the farm on the nether waste biome we can get those ridiculous insane rates. If you use any other spawnable blocks on the spawing platforms, you will get piglins too, and because they only get mad at you if they're close and seeing you, they'll stand around and use your mob cap space. The block on the minecarts is just to hold them in place, I guess.
Why the zombies not being mad after 15 sec. How can i fix?
@@rickkloosterman4593 make sure you have those for snitches on all 4 corners. They're responsable for keeping the pigs mad coz they can't get to us and die, so they just keep snitching to the new spawn pigs, makiing them mad. Also, they need to see you through the snow carpet things, hence the importance of them in the right amount. If that don't fix it, then you should probably check the tutorial to see if anything was done wrong.
@spookwave This happened to me one time. Orbs usually fly around on the vanilla game, but some servers like, spigot, paper, etc, disable this option to improve performance. I killed the dragon and it dropped one sinlge xp orb.. I was like WTF. When I pick it up, 80xp LOL I thought it was a normal bug, til I built this farm. There's a config in the server files where you can choose how orbs and itens on the floor behave. I don't remember which it is anymore, but that's probably what's happening.
Finished my farm today. Great instructions, love the schematics. It's nuts! I had to make an item filter and then the gold swords go to three furnaces to be smelted. If you're using a filter system, make one for feathers. The odd baby on a chicken can spawn. The raw chicken can get smelted with the swords. Thank you for your tutorial. I'm going to have so many golden appels for my villagers now!
How did you construct your item filter system? im having trouble building mine without affecting pigmen spawning.
@@Rick-rc1lt If Pigmen are spawning around your filter system, I covered all my exposed hoppers with carpet and used glass for the floor of my filter system. I think my lowest point is about 15 blocks below the AFK platform. I've never had any spawns down there when AFKing. I realised also that I need to filter the swords first as I was getting huge backlogs so I used a non-stackable item filter, well 4, one on each of the output hoppers. I then had 4 hopper lines going to one double chest at my 7 smelter array (I think I probably only need 5 smelters really at most) and 4 hopper lines converging at two double chests (2 hopper lines each) with a hopper minecart underneath going back and forth under both chests and depositing the stackable items into my regular item filter. I have 5 filters. 2x nuggets, 2x rotten flesh and 1x gold ingots. With the current number of chests I have they would overflow after about 3hrs of AFK but that's the limiting factor for me now.

We were originally trying to construct our filter at the bedrock layer below and it was affecting the amount of pigmen spawning in the farm, sometimes as much as causing all of them to stop spawning. Do you happen to have any screenshots of your filtering system so I could get a general idea of how yours is setup? If its too much trouble its no problem at all.
@@Rick-rc1lt Sure. I took some and made a post on my tumblr for you. The hoppers with green carpet are for non-stackable things. The hoppers with blue carpet are for swords and lead to my furnace array. I tried to take a few different angles. It's a bit of a criss-cross of hopper lines. How much XP you make in 1h?
-if you built this farm in a paper server:
change the "experience-merge-max-value" from -1 to 1 in the paper.yml so the exp orbs stop merging and getting stuck in the minecarts
-if you built this farm in a spigot server:
change the "exp merge radius" (in the world-settings section) to -1, so the exp obrs stop merging too

If you want this farm to work for 1.16, the spawning platforms should be built using magma blocks in order to stop regular piglins from spawning on them. (btw great video, its a lot easier to follow than illmango's tutorial)

Tips to adapt to 1.16:
1. Use magma blocks to build spawning platforms
2. Instead of name tags to prevent despawning, you can give the zombie piglins gold armor
3. MAKE SURE TO BUILD IT IN THE NETHER WASTES BIOME
4. Use Frost Walker boots or shifting to negate magma block damage
5. Build only outlines of spawning platforms and then glass and then fill in platforms to avoid ghast griefing
6. Also fairly certain you can use slabs instead of 5 snow in 1.16

this will work in 1.16 if you build it above a nether wastes biome and if you use magma blocks instead of the gold blocks where he places them in this video. This is because zombified piglins drop gold and piglins do not, but only zombified piglins can spawn on magma blocks. The rates will be slightly decreased though but only slightly, and even in 1.16 this is still one of the most efficient farms. If you build it in your 1.15 world and convert it to 1.16 it will work but you just have to make sure that it is out of magma blocks. All of the terrain in your nether dimension will be converted into nether wastes and then all of the unexplored terrain will generate naturally. Don't take my word for it though because it could change :)Please pin this so that other people can see it

Oh u said that only zombified piglins can spawn on magma blocks so i assume that the building blocks have to be magma blocks in the 1.16, but what about the block they fall on when they drop? I dont think that matters because they die anyways right?
@@vertusxd2453 no they do not die they run into the centre so u can get their xp. the block they fall onto can be leaves or glass, it just has to be non spawnable

I absolutely love your videos the schematics help a lot where you can get a wire frame areal view and not have to deal with weird and annoying angles in other tutorals
For every one asking, yes this works on 1.17. I'm on a spigot smp server, you just need to bear in mind that the xp gets stuck in the minecarts and trap door area. You can go near the killing chamber to pick up the xp but i'm not sure how lag friendly this would be for long afk sessions.

In the server files there is a variable called merge distance, if you change this to 0 the xp will reach you, it is an optimisation thing that doesn’t make much difference, look it up ,I can’t remember the file name but my friend had to do it to make the farm give xp

@@timeitself5300 According to the Wiki, it is in the spigot.yml under the alias of merge radius. Set the relative one (exp orbs or items) to 0

My luck is super trash at finding diamonds so I had to fill 6 double chests with stone to find a 7 vain I'm happy now will build this farm once I raid the end and have a iron farm set up
Seriously collecting 4 shulkerboxes of magma took me less than 30 minutes
My advice of building this is to equally divide the whole platform into 8 parts. Complete each part from bottom to top glass ceiling. Then you will not meet any anooying ghast. I built this in 3 hours and did not encounter one ghast.
I did it in 4 Parts, and only got 1 Ghast because i walked out of that quadrant

Edit: In order to save time, you can instead replace the glass with slabs. You can replace the floor with lower half slabs to prevent ghasts. Just don't place it the wrong way or else it will turn into a solid block. It may look weird but it will save you time.

Beware! At 9:34 you need to place glass blocks in the corners of the glass layer because the spot is big enough to spawn magma cubes, which can kill you! This is very rare, but I died like this while afk. The magma cubes need a 3x2.1x3 space to spawn and the last block has enough space! @Shulkercraft please fix the shematic.
I died inside when I saw the sheer cost of the building materials. Even more so when I thought for a second I needed to use gold
you dont need to use gold. 1.16 and ab ove you have to use magmablocks. They can easily be found near lava. from four days of mining i got all the magma blocks

I just built this farm and it works great thank you so much for the great tutorial! I like that you included really good blueprints for placing the blocks it helped so much!
A little tip if u doing this alone, when u start doing the magma block layer starts from the top or u will regret
important tip: if you're playing on hard difficulty then you dont have to put the trapdoors on either of the top two rings because the pathfinding of the mobs allowes them to take damage to get to you

Pro tip! When building the spawning platforms Start with the top layer and work your way down. This will prevent ghasts from spawning.

I afked at this on a Vault Hunters (modded minecraft) server, and the farm somehow made an xp orb that made my elytra's durability go into the negative hundred thousands, because the modpack combines xp to save lag. Insane, it bypasses the golden apple nerf that makes them cost gold blocks instead of ingots because of how good this farm is.
How to make it on 1.18
1 - Just replace the spawn plataform building blocks with magma blocks
There is just one problem, not 100% of the xp will go to you, bc it gets stuck in the minecarts but you can get lv 30 in 30 seconds its really insane
And a tip, while you are building the plataforms have a bow with arrows with you, bc ghasts are annoying af

I builted it in my hardcore world and ı have some tips for you guys:
- You should get 5 more stacks of magma thing and 5 stacks of glass. You will need it .
- You should be careful to the piglins. I just hit one wrongly and 60 of them just trying to kill me so you should get more totem of undying.
- You can use fire resistance for it . I used 1 full of shulkerboxe of fire resistance.
- Dont please torches next to the snows. Snows can melt with it.
- Dont try the farm without the glass layer. Ghast can destroy your farm.
- Dont forget your scaffoldings on lava layer.
- You should build a good sorting system to it. Because all item will stay . It will give you so much lags.

if you want to collect only cold nuggets and ingots and not the swords and rotten flesh, just fill all the double chests with 1 gold ingot or nugget in each slot
Unfortunately this won't work, the hopppers will then fill with rotten flesh and gold swords with nowhere to drop them off leaving the remaining gold nuggets and ingots to despawn. You have to build a proper item sorter with a dispenser that drops the unnecesary items into lava

If you have forgot to being obsidians in the nether roof or flint and Steel
Here is a way to keep going
first make a spawning area in the nether wastes biome, then go at some height, kill the zombified piglins to get gold ingots, then go tho the crimson forest biome, make a spawning area for the piglins then trade with them to get some obsidians and a fire charge (The process is a bit long but......finally worth it...☺

Edit: I've now built this with a friend and it's working brilliantly! We put an item sorter and smelter in which I'm proud of 😄 (first sorter for me). A couple of things others may find useful
1. We get a few magma cubes spawning, but over time they become a pain as they reduce the mob cap, which can stop the aggro chain. I'm going to add some iron golems inbetween the name tagged pigmen to lure them off the platform.
2. We put the smelter on an extra platform below the sorter due to space issues. Discovered that social zombies can spawn on glass if the light level is 9 or lower! (That level had spots more than 7 blocks away which they need to spawn.) So light it up well folks!

4 pigmen need to be kept few blocks outside of the circle so that those pigs will not die but remain angry and make the new spawned pigs angry. You also need to name tag them to prevent them from despawning.

just built this in 1.18 in a regular survival world, ive built it before and its worked fine but not a lot of pigman are spawning in. i built this just to use as an xp farm and i have a farm thats used more for gold about 600 blocks away but i dont think thats the problem
did u spawn proof below the bedrock layer? also what difficulty are you playing on? cuz the rates in the tutorial are in hard mode

If you plan on getting emeralds out of this you can trade rotten flesh from the pigman to trade with clerics so you can get emeralds while also getting gold to make your supercharged beacon or something else.
This is now my second ever time building this farm, the first time it was a hassle. I tried doing top layer to bottom but messed that up from the second i started, ghasts kept spawning... etc. But this time, yes the ghasts did spawn, but it was so much easier and faster i have no clue why, the platforms take me around 10 mins to outline and the n another 10 to fill them in. I have already done 3 platforms, now all thats left is the last platform, the glass and the corner pigmen. I also decided to build the sorting system off the bat and i will make it store ingots and nuggets and the rest will go into lava (yes ik that i can smelt the swords and trade the rotten flesh but 1. i cant be bothered and 2. im putting way more work in for getting the fuel than what im getting out of it so no ( and no i will not make a carpet duper because thats cheating imo ) ). I will update you guys on how the farm goes and how many blocks i got in 1 hour

Amazing farm really works well for my needs!
I am experiencing interrupted waves too which seem to be sorted by killing the zombies that spawn and get stuck on the diagonals, covering a bit of visual with the pigs with tags.

For those wondering, it does work in 1/20.4! Just make sure your platforms are made from magma blocks. The biome does not matter, at least i dont think it does but i could be wrong.

pro tips: dont steal a farm than replace 1 part of the farm and call it your own farm

I built this is 1.16 ( with magma blocks of course) and it works wonders but I would recommend investing in some frost walker boots, it made the building process so much quicker and less pain full. Your pinkie finger will thank you for it
