    Just got the Vitera mask a couple of weeks ago, and I already love it. No problem with leaks, very comfortable! Easy to clean. I’m glad it doesn’t have magnets since I have a pacemaker which doesn’t get along with magnets. Thanks for your video.

    I bought a Vitera full face mask about 5 weeks ago and it’s the most comfortable mask I’ve ever had. My only grievance is the clip that connects the mask to the tubing. It is very flimsy and has come off sometimes during the night. It can be pulled apart very easily with 2 fingers and in my opinion is totally inadequate for its purpose.

    Looks like a great mask but you never showed how to don or doff the mask? Does it just a clip-on or do you have to undo the velcro every time? My full mask now I just pull a little cord on the right side and the mask unhooks from the harness.

    • @ksstatewildcatsfan
      @ksstatewildcatsfan Год назад

      You can use either method to take the headgear off and on. The clips aren’t magnetic but they remove easily enough from the face mask. Hope that helps, a year later.

    I’ve used the Vitera mask for a few months. It’s good. As the pressure ramps up during the night, my mouth tends to open up due to a sinus condition of blocked nose, I get leaking around the corners of the mouth. Air seems to blow in my eyes. I have the size L. I’m wondering if I should have the size M? I feel it’s too big... any comments on this? I am planning on trying the ResMed F20 size M.

    Does anyone know if FP Vitera is compatible with the ResMed AirSense10? This mask is very comfortable but it the vent built into the mask allows too much air to vent and my machine signals a weak seal every morning. Any help or direction is helpful.

      I have this problem as well, I also thought somehow AS10 doesn't read it well or something... Sometimes my AS10 would show a red face, and I can see in Oscar that I had leaks, but I never feel them, and when I wake up, my mask is on the face and it doesn't leak... On the other hand, I have F30i as well, which Oscar always shows no leaks at all, but I literary hear and feel the leaks into my eyes waking me up. Plus with f30i I have to crank the humidity almost to max in order not to get blood from my nose, and I don't like very humid air, with Vitera I can use it with medium humidity as it pleases me... I use L cushion, will try M and see how it's going on... Did you find any solution ?

      @@janmagdevski4973 I did find that the Vitera would work with the Airsense 10. However, leaks were recurring and I switched to the ResMed Airtouch with a greater degree (though not consistent) of success.

    The damn hose keeps coming off the mask! So I wake up at night with the hose unattached. Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play? Gasp, gasp, snort, snort. They need to design a clip or something that hooks the hose onto the mask. As currently designed, the rubber female end of the hose is just pushed onto the plastic male end of the mask. Eventually, the hose end get's stretched and won't stay on the mask.

    Hi. I just started my CPAP journey and have a sleepstyle by f&p. I'm using eson 2 but have problems with my mouth popping open when I sleep and air escaping from the mask as soon as I move. If the vitara doesn't work are there other alternatives as in brands or is this it as far as quality goes.

    • @CPAPReviews
      @CPAPReviews  3 года назад

      Hi Gustav, the eson 2 is a pretty solid mask however if you are having mouth leak issues then you can either try using a Chin Strap or go to a Full Face mask. The Vitera is also a very good mask however all masks will work with all machines so you can certainly use for instance a ResMed or a Philips mask with your SleepStyle unit. Also that many people struggle with mouth leak especially in the early stages but normally over time people become use to breathing through their nose and keeping their mouth closed of a night. Like many things it just takes a bit of time. Some Other great full face masks include the F30i by resmed, the F20 by resmed, The DreamWear Full by Philips :). Have a great day. Nick

    Good Video, Sir. I have a question I hope you might be able to help with. I have a Phillips Dreamstation with heated tube and have been using a nose mask with it. I need to add a full facemask to my collection for various reasons, but I notice the tube that comes with this is non heated. My question is, are the tubes mostly universal? In other words, can I use the heated tube from my existing Phillips Respironic mask with this mask? Thank you!!!

    • @CPAPReviews
      @CPAPReviews  4 года назад

      Yes you most certainly can. In fact, you can use any mask with any machine/tube except for the ResMed airmini which has a modified tube for the HME filter. On a quick note, just make sure you take out any quick release mask parts from old mask out of the tubing before inserting the tubing into the mask. If it it's not fitting, you must have part of the old mask stuck in the tube. Cheers

    I am a Simplus user and am considering the Vitera. My DME says I can buy the Vitera with all 3 sizes and the headgear for about $117. I realize I don't need all 3 sizes and I feel it is a waste of money to buy the S, and M, when I use the large, but I have heard the Vitera is a bit wider than the Simplus go guess maybe that is the way to go the first time usage. I find paying out of pocket for supplies is cheaper than using my insurance. Just shows the stupidity of the Health Care Industry in the US!

    Had a big problem with my Vitera swivel hose fitting: the air flow on mine is greatly reduced if the hose swings to the side. It's ok only if it's straight to the front and extended outward. As a new CPAP use, this is very distressing - but I'm determined to make it work somehow. Because I was straining to inhale unless I held it in place, I hot glued it. It worked great but it didn't hold as I slept and the reduced airflow was enough to actually wake me up struggling to breathe. So I re-glued it with e6000 rubber cement and that holds it in place so I can breathe now. ARGHH! Also, sometimes the silicone flap gets stuck and blocks my exhale. They for sure need to work out the bugs on this one. I'm now using a ResMed N30 and also ordered a DreamWear Full face bundle to try.
