    One thing you didn't talk about is the taxes and delivery time. Printful having facilities in the US, Europe, and Canada, makes things way easier to sell "internationally". I tried Printful and Printify and the results are not even a match. Being able to sell in every western countries without having to bother with custom fees and different partners is a bliss. If a customer buy something from the US, printful will automatically assign the order to their US facility. If the customer buy from France, it will choose the spain facility. And that changes everything. For a canva bought with a US partner for a customer in France, the customer will have to pay custom fees, and the delivery alone will jump from 13$ on printful to 45$ on printify and that's without the custom fees. And on top of that, printful mock up are way more nicer and SEO friendly.

    It'd be interesting to do a per-product choice of quality/price. Things like those "sister of the birthday boy" t-shirts will most likely only be used once or twice, so people probably prefer cheap and don't care much about high quality and durability. If it's something classier that can be used more long-term, then choose quality.

    • @alekSheffy

    Great video, Alek, but be careful with Printify costs. At least for t-shirts, they change with color and size. Printful has a much simpler structure - usually same price from S-XL and no change for color. Printful also allows you to print your logo on the label, which I couldn't find on Printify. Just did the math this morning: Printful is more profitable - at least for my business.
    Bottom line: make sure you do your research

    • @alekSheffy
      @alekSheffy  Год назад +1

      Sure, that's a good point. How are you more profitable if you're paying for label prints? Monster Digital has the same pricing structure S-XL, Printify just allows each print provider to price their own products accordingly

    Printful is expensive and they know it because they're proactive on inventory levels.
    My main issue with Printful on design is that they don't allow you to create variants within the design generator the way Gelato lets you unsync product variants, but Gelato's folder structure is nonexistent if you have multiple stores in one account. I have to scroll and scroll to find previous designs from multiple stores.

  • @khanpachii

    You have to mention that printful automatically chooses the right print provider for each location. Printify produces and ships from the print provider location you've selected, always.

  • @BlairMuellerArt

    Once you add tax, the prices are higher. And when you factor in NOT being in the US, it's even higher for shipping. Mugs cost me like $27 (incl tax, shipping, printing fees)... so I have to charge around $30+ depending on the size and style of mug. It's kinda crazy.... AND I pay for a subscription so I get a small discount on all products. It's the shipping that kills us. Some times, shipping is MORE than the actual item!!

    As an Australian based business with an audience split of 15% USA, 15% Brazil, 10% AUS, 10% India 5% EU, 45% Other, the only option I have is Printful.
    International shipping outside of the USA is way too expensive to justify using Printify with a POD business structure… Even though they have a better range of products for a brand like mine.

    I started out 9 months ago with my Etsy tshirt shop and after my research it came down to two, Printful and Printify. I ended up with Printify in the end because of the price. I thought the cut that Printful takes was a bit too high. Gelato is new to me. Thanks for this video and affirming what I had chosen myself.

    • @deewitt2833
      @deewitt2833 Год назад

      Question- when using either Printful or Printify if you get an order for T Shirts do you pay Printify or Printful 1st then they begin producing the shirts? What if you get a Big order like (50) shirts. Then you have to pay 50x (I’m guessing $8 per shirt) $400 out of pocket

    • @guyinsf
      @guyinsf Год назад +1

      @@deewitt2833 Yes they take it out of your bank account their cut but if you're selling 50 tees and their cut is $8 a shirt which means they're deducting $140 from your bank account remember you're also getting hopefully the same amount per shirt in profit so let's say at a conservative estimate of also $8 per shirt of profit. Let's also say each of your shirts is listed for $16 on your store so at 50 shirts $280 will be transferred to your bank account but yes you will get that most likely after Printify takes their cut of $140 from your bank account first. Of course I'm excluding the fees from Etsy or whatever storefront you're using but you can calculate that portion on your own.

    • @guyinsf
      @guyinsf Год назад +3

      Sorry my calculation was way off. So with 50 shirts and Printify's cut is $8 per shirt their total amount that they will charge you is $400 but hopefully you're also getting $400 in profit if you're listing the shirt at a price to give you a profit of $8 per shirt too.

    Alek, you never did this. All of your videos are carefully constructed clickbait titles which though technically true, are disingenuous. i.e, (My thoughts after $1,000,000) implying you sold $1 million through this method. It garners you lots of clicks and views. The truth is that '(My thoughts after $1,000,000)' actually refers to what you would hypothetically do in the case that you actually had made $1 million in sales. So you weren't lying, just carefully constructing a clickbait title that isn't technically untrue though kinda a lie. No one with any sense should really care then about your thoughts after $1 million because you didn't make $1 million through this method. Why would you give away the secret sauce if you did? Another RUclips guru getting by in the gray margins of ethical practices while providing very little.

    Depening on the products for example Mugs you should choose Printify. The difference is 3€ which is quit crazy for a low budget product that should go around 12-15 normally.

    Hey Alek, thanks for this very clear and useful video. That said, Printify seems really nice for a local market, for example you want to sell in the USA, you can then select the USA manufacturer, but if you want a world wide shipping, then if becomes slightly more difficult as it doesn't make sense to send products made in usa to Europe or asia, it is more risks of breaking, shipping problems, and more CO2. Am I right or is there a solution to that?

      unless im mistaken couldnt you choose to use printify for the items you choose to sell only in the US. Then use printful only for the items you want to sell elsewhere?

    Does Printify support embroidery?
    Also label printing.
    I know it's all additional cost.
    Sure for starting up and checking your options and ideas you don't need that.
    Now if you already got some success and you want your own brand.
    Then Printiful allows you to literally create your apparel range with logos, labels and you can even embroider your logo.

    Hi Alex,
    I'm a big fan of your RUclips channel and I'm always impressed by how clear and engaging your scripted content is. I was wondering if you could share some tips on how you script your videos and deliver your message so effectively. i want to purchase them such as teleprompter, etc if any
    Specifically, I'm curious about your process for coming up with your script, organizing your ideas, and delivering your message in a clear and engaging way. Any insights you could share would be greatly appreciated.
    The main reason is I am a UDEMY instructor. I am good at coding but delivering content on CAMERA is getting hard so please share some tips on how to overcome this...
    I really appreciate you reading my email, and I hope to hear back from you soon.
