Tyler Grisham should be fired. Jeff Scott is available, we need to bring him back. When you have a 3 star true freshman playing better than your 5 star receivers that have been at Clemson for multiple years, that's clear and obvious terrible position coaching.
It's not the OC either, Tony Elliott had an awful offense in 2021, pretty bad with Brandon Streeter in 2022, and better in 2023 with Garrett Riley but still not where this Clemson offense should be.
I realized after the game when Dabo talked about the Flu Bug that had ravaged the team all week That we were fortunate that we were even able to play the game. Those guys gave it all.
I love a win! We have bragging rights! This dismal 4-4 season ended with an 8-4 season and 2 ranked wins. Hopefully Cade and this offense has a huge improvement before the bowl game and into next season. Beamer should be fired for what they did to that kid last night!
DJ would be terrified to play the Clemson D. Those pac 12 defenses are not even close to the level Clemson is playing right now. I agree it would be an interesting match up though.
Dabo admitted to blocking play calls. Dabo is handicapping the offense by not letting Riley do his job. Also when you watch film breakdowns, Cade misses open players constantly, can't read a defense pre or post snap. Cade has also been a turnover machine. Dabo needs to let Riley go get a qb and a wr or two, from the portal and let Riley call the game. We will open with UGA next year and be unable to score if a change is not made at qb.
Looking at the stat line makes it easy to blame the qb, we had plenty of WR drops as well unfortunately which did not help him at all. I hope he takes this summer and throws every day with his WRs, TEs and RBs.
Personally I think Cade.is going to be fine. He is teachable. Very few QBs have been amazing their sophomore years, particularly if it is their first year as a starter.
I don't even consider him a sophomore. I know he technically is but he was ill prepared by the coaching staff because they wanted to be loyal to DJ. I think Cade will be a great QB and will likely be much improved next season and maybe even much improved in the bowl game with the 15 extra practices.

Well they did it! They won their last 4. The D was suffocating, but the O was woeful. I’m praying for significant changes to the O staff and system this offseason. All that said I will take the win. And by the way, Rattler has my respect too. Good guy really.
I honestly don’t think many changes have to be made with the offense, all year we have been plagued by dumb mistakes and injuries. I feel like when the offense and Garrett Riley gets comfortable with the offensive scheme we will be fine, our biggest problem all year was primarily just turnovers and that can only be controlled to an extent.

We may never know exactly how severe and rampant the flu spread was. Certainly Dabo has a knack for embellishing things saying "12 guys with IV's after breakfast" and stuff. LOL But I thought Blake Miller looked weak and low energy during the game. Maybe it was a factor? Who knows. If the offense plays clunky again during the bowl game, it won't just be that. NOOOOO to Ore State. Beat a team that got left out of realignment and without their HC and prove nothing. Lose......even WORSE!!

Trevor did that all the time bit he had way better receivers to throw to. The d back made a great play and the receiver failed to get proper position on the ball. It wasn't really a terrible play it just happened the d back was better.
Cade had the field wide open in front of him. He could've run it down into the red zone. That was yet another bad decision by Cade. Our receivers have shown they don't make those catches. Should have had it in his head not to take those risks.

Yeah, he was wobbly... didn't look ok at all. Was really surprised when he came back in.
If you go back and look at it his pads and Jersey got twisted up around his neck.. I think he was being choked out more than it was a concussion
