As a fourth generation vet, that is divorced, with TBI and PTSD, that exists under a program for homeless vets. This hits every time I see it. Salute to my brother and sister veterans! May you be finding peace with the war within and honor in the Oath that never dies!
It hit me when you said kid. I went in the army a week after turning 17, did almost my whole time before I was old enough to drink. Old enough to kill or die, but not old enough to drink .. let that sink in.
Team lead is special forces they dress that way to not bring attention to themselves during recon to basically blend on as much as they can with the locals
I can't remember what all each vet was suppose to represent in this video now as it's been a while but the team lead I do remember was suppose to symbolize special forces hence the ball cap and beard, another was suppose to be a reservist type also a national guardsman and finally active duty. Each one is suppose to represent the different types of veterans. To show that it can and does effect all types of veterans regardless of if they were active duty and special forces, national guard or a reservist. Also shown in this video is Veterans will take care of each other which you figured out with the two at the end the former team lead recognizing the guy whose life he saved and said guy recognizing the team lead. What many people miss though is the part with the cop they both had the same unit tattoo hence why he removed the handcuffs he's going to try to get him help.
Here In Germany every solider gets all the Help he need... No one is homeless and free health Care covers everything they need. And the state has to pay for there pain 50k to 150k and hast to pay monthly on top. It's so sad that a modern country like the US could not fix this...
You are golden, Zack. With you stating not being Military (perhaps family though), you really did justice to the reaction (IMO). Hit a lot of points. Much love and respect for your attention to detail and understanding.

FFDPs cover of the Offspring song Gone Away is also very good. I Apologize is another one of my favs from them.
