Very difficult now at the end of the 50s. ....the body just can't handle the heavy weights and hard training needed to grow muscles. Had to take it all much easier after taking time off to recover from injuries from the too tough training. Not the same body now as in younger years.

Hello, I’m a classic hard gainer. The only way I can make muscle gains is to push myself super hard in the gym + eat, eat, eat like a horse! Eating becomes like a full-time job. All your advice here is on target, thanks!

Great info, I've been training 3 years in home gym, everything progressing except bench press,I went from training 18 sets per week to 9 sets and saw slight improvement. I do squats&deadlifts 3 set per week and seeing progress every week is it possible I'm doing too much bench pressing.
How many sets per week do you recommend
    (I'm 46yrs old bodyweight 70kgs and working sets I do 74kg 10 reps)
