What about 3 full body work outs 3 times a week as opposed to 4 split sessions?

    question
back training in my early 40’s making good progress i’m happy with my results so far. question is on chest / triceps day i tend to do 4 exercises mainly chest and 4 exercises mainly triceps 4 sets of each.
should i do mainly the chest exercises first followed by the mainly triceps exercises after or can i mix them up like i tend to do 1 set of bench press, a very short rest followed by a tricep cable pulldown short rest back to bench press etc.

    GARY - Great Video!
However, I weigh 160 lbs and am in great shape for a 75 year old man. You, like most people, recommend that I eat .8 grams of protein per pound of weight. That amounts to the equivalent of 21 eggs per day. I am lucky if I can eat 2 eggs for breakfast. I don't see how I can ever eat the equivalent of 21 eggs per day. Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

These weight trainers recommend way too much protein. It can blow out kidneys, cause cancer and heart problems with high fat meat. You can also eat plant protein. Some of the best and most fit athletes are vegan.

I eat 2 or 3 eggs every morning along with a protein shake. That puts me at over 40 grams right out of the gates. Every meal has meat or fish. I normally have two of those small greek yogurts every night....that is another 20-something grams right before bed. Those are only 110 calories each, pretty small. I make sure that every meal has protein, somehow. About twice a week I will have a tuna sandwich. I get the tuna that is about 40 grams per can and use one whole can in my sandwich. Most weeks I make a crock pot of chicken with a sauce, maybe just dump BBQ sauce in there if I'm in a hurry or don't feel like dealing with it....its still good! That crock pot sets me up for 3 or 4 lunches that week that are full of protein. Thats pretty much all I eat, not much variety but its an easy shopping list.

Great advice. Be careful with the compound movement . I stopped my compound movements 10 years ago at 53. Saying this the intensity elsewhere is a must. For example time under tension with higher reps only going to complete failure on the last set. This has worked for me and I only do to sets per exercises per body part. But great advice my brother .

I am almost 66 started in early 70s and yes you have to make adjustments but I would never stop doing compound movements..I just go much lighter with total control..

I need to start doing those squats using land mine...they are very similar to single dumbell squats, but better in a lot of ways..keeps you locked in and you can use a lot more weight...a trick I have used is putting a jack stand under the weighted end if need more help getting bar in position to squat...

grams. grams. grams. A gram is meaningless. What is that is a real meaningful weight for those of us that don't live in Canada?

I don't really know what you are asking? Grams are the units that ingredients are measured in and displayed on the labels of all the products we buy. A can of Tuna might show Protein: 24g. So you know if you eat one serving size of that tuna you will have consumed 24 grams of protein.

Pretty funny how you try to passively dismiss the downside of consuming carb intake. ROFL.. Everybody and their brother on YT trying to give advices on "nutrition".. rofl.. ALL OVER THE FREAKING BOARD... ROFL.. freaking amazing.. rofl.
