Government permission slips are unconstitutional infringements. Unfortunately, too many so-called 2A supporters take little to no issues with certain infringements because they don't apply to them and they can afford the fees to utilize a RIGHT.
Keep up the good work. My application with LASD is currently going on 2 years and 1 month as of now since they accepted my app back in July 2022. I'm still waiting for the initial interview call, and I've already called them a couple of times in the past year to confirm my app was still in process. I ended going through my local city PD earlier this year and had to use the MyCCW 3rd party company for the application process. Granted the entire process from start to finish literally took 2 months for me to get my CA CCW permit, but it did cost me 3x as much if I went through LA County ($1600). I also had to do the psych eval for $400, which wasn't difficult at all to pass, but just a big inconvenience (to my wallet).
When I initially got my ccw permit in 2022 the process took 1 year. 4 months to get the initial call from LASD. At that time, pre Bruin you had to show good cause which I had been picking up rent $$ for my dad.

CCW should work just like a drivers license and there should be a common framework with respect to the laws for all states, so one state doesn’t make you a felon because they have some outrageous restrictions. Yeah Costas! My Utah non-resident CCW is $75 for five years. In Sacramento County the CCW fees are fine it's the cost of training and insurance which really drives up the cost.
I mailed my CCW application on 11-22. I still haven't heard from them and when I inquire via email all I get is a reply that says that my application is in the system and waiting to be assigned to an investigator.
Having CRPA and other members of Associations be on the fast track for the CCW permit process would of been the way to go for now. You can fight the battle for other Californians at a later time since they don’t help pay for CRPA Attorneys.

Also, none of these cases didn't start truly getting any traction, until after the Rahhimi Case!!! Watch the New York ccw permit Requirements California Requirements will be close to that.
The fees are indeed outrageous and is the sole reason I have not applied for a CCW and the 2 year renewal timeframe should be no different than it is for a drivers license. What we have no is just extortion by the Democrat politicians to fill their coffers.

Since the majority of states have constitutional carry, the median cost to carry is somewhere near zero. If the judge is playing games, these are the types of games we should play.
We also need clarification on when the reasonable time start. It it the day a submitted our application or from the time we have an interview. Interviews could be held for 3 months and then the 120 days start.
It’ll be a year for me in September. Which sucks because I moved and will have to start all over. Which means if you move as often as long as it takes to get your permit, then you’ll never actually get one. Which of course is the idea. Thank you for your hard work.
I waited 16 months and redirected to the local PD who started issuing in the interim. LASD called be 2 hours after my interview with the alternate and the representative stated they were 10,000 applications on the books!
Ultimately if the state demands the ability to determine who is eligible to exercise a right and then simply fails to process acting for whatever reason, then what is the judicial solution? I’m thinking if the state has spent more than X number of days then the individual should be automatically granted a temporary permit, or presumed to have one. That will motivate the agencies to actually process people rather than sit on their hands.

Hasn't there been a Supreme Court decision which states that any fee charged by a state can only equal the cost to the state for said action, if it is more than that... it is a tax and unlawful. I think it was a court decision from the SC last term. I think that SCOUTS also said that the people can not be taxed to exercise their rights/liberties.
I got a full pardon in February there nothing stopping mebfrom getting my permit EXCEPT for the tyrant police cheif that denied me i got a lawyer but the appeal date isnt for almost 2 years! Ct is ridiculous

The biggest problem is with current CCW holders being held hostage about where they can and cannot carry in public. CA has recently made it extremely burdensome to legally carry.

CRPA refused to help after i have volunteered for hundreds of hours, recruited hundreds of members and business affiliates, made than Tens of thousands of dollars for my volunteer work and yet i can't even get a call back from them! I asked for them to write a letter for my CCW appeal just stating that I was a member and volunteered with dozens of hours. That was all I asked. Even Kevin here on RUclips said that's the least they can do for all my support. They stopped responding to me, both CRPA and Michele and Associates. Guess what though. The volunteer coordinator kept messaging and calling me to volunteer. I would drive very far, set up for events, set up the BB gun range, bring in members, educate people and bring in donations. One event I brought in over $10,000 for my effort. That's just one event. My neighbors and friends who I encouraged to join most got a lifetime membership seen how they treated me and left me in the dust and they said they will no longer volunteer or donate due to the fact they are in bed with Riverside County Sheriff department to deny the PEOPLE and their members and help with CCW appeals. Like I said, I can show anyone the emails sent to me with CRPA staff saying "We have a very close relationship with Chad Bianco and Riverside County Sheriff Department and we do not want to do anything to upset them". Also earlier this year Riverside County Sheriff Department held a CCW Symposium with guest speaker Chad Bianco where he announced his run for governor. I was volunteering at the booth so I was there. The benefits and proceeds went to CRPA. It was $70 a person with about 300 people in attendance. That's $21,000 dollars paid to CRPA from an issuing agency who they have no desire to go after for Bruen Violations. That's a conflict of interest. I've been waiting 9 months for the Contra Costa County Sheriff to issue a CCW and I'm a CRPA member. I'm happy to be a plaintiff if you need one.

I mailed 06/2022 and got a call 11/2023! They were 10,000 permits on file at that time for LASD.

Since the majority of states have constitutional carry, the median cost to carry is somewhere near zero. If the judge is playing games, these are the types of games we should play.
We also need clarification on when the reasonable time start. It it the day a submitted our application or from the time we have an interview. Interviews could be held for 3 months and then the 120 days start.

I waited 16 months and redirected to the local PD who started issuing in the interim. LASD called be 2 hours after my interview with the alternate and the representative stated they were 10,000 applications on the books!
Ultimately if the state demands the ability to determine who is eligible to exercise a right and then simply fails to process acting for whatever reason, then what is the judicial solution? I’m thinking if the state has spent more than X number of days then the individual should be automatically granted a temporary permit, or presumed to have one. That will motivate the agencies to actually process people rather than sit on their hands.

Why will the CRPA not appeal this partial decision to the 9th District? There is a Penal Code statute in place requiring approval within 120 days, the Supreme Court has ruled accordingly yet this judge is dragging her feet on this and siding with the Gov. and Bonta. Enough already!

To prove my point if you're a Riverside County Resident who was denied contact CRPA and ask them to start a case against Riverside County or to file a Writ of Mandate and they will turn you down. Why did they choose to sue Los Angeles and refuse to sue Riverside? Too much money being made. Look it up. Earlier this year Riverside County Sheriff held a CCW Symposium and guess who was to benefit from all the money made at the event? You guessed it, CRPA!!! This is a conflict of interest for CRPA members paying dues in Riverside. We don't want our 2A organizations to be in bed with Tyrants for monetary gain.

Hasn't there been a Supreme Court decision which states that any fee charged by a state can only equal the cost to the state for said action, if it is more than that... it is a tax and unlawful. I think it was a court decision from the SC last term. I think that SCOUTS also said that the people can not be taxed to exercise their rights/liberties.
I got a full pardon in February there nothing stopping mebfrom getting my permit EXCEPT for the tyrant police cheif that denied me i got a lawyer but the appeal date isnt for almost 2 years! Ct is ridiculous

The biggest problem is with current CCW holders being held hostage about where they can and cannot carry in public. CA has recently made it extremely burdensome to legally carry.

Yet not one organization wants to help. CRPA refused to help after i have volunteered for hundreds of hours, recruited hundreds of members and business affiliates, made than Tens of thousands of dollars for my volunteer work and yet i can't even get a call back from them! Why? They make money training CCW instructors. They side with issuing agencies like Riverside County Sheriff department for monetary gain and refuse to start cases against Chad Bianco. I have the emails to prove that they said "We have a great relationship with Chad Bianco and Riverside County Sheriff department and we do not want to upset them". I have the receipts. Our rights are being sold at a high price and I just need a patriotic organization to help me start a case and overturn this unconstitutional CCW scheme all throughout California.

I asked for them to write a letter for my CCW appeal just stating that I was a member and volunteered with dozens of hours. That was all I asked. Even Kevin here on RUclips said that's the least they can do for all my support. They stopped responding to me, both CRPA and Michele and Associates. Guess what though. The volunteer coordinator kept messaging and calling me to volunteer. I would drive very far, set up for events, set up the BB gun range, bring in members, educate people and bring in donations. One event I brought in over $10,000 for my effort. That's just one event. My neighbors and friends who I encouraged to join most got a lifetime membership seen how they treated me and left me in the dust and they said they will no longer volunteer or donate due to the fact they are in bed with Riverside County Sheriff department to deny the PEOPLE and their members and help with CCW appeals. Like I said, I can show anyone the emails sent to me with CRPA staff saying "We have a very close relationship with Chad Bianco and Riverside County Sheriff Department and we do not want to do anything to upset them". Also earlier this year Riverside County Sheriff Department held a CCW Symposium with guest speaker Chad Bianco where he announced his run for governor. I was volunteering at the booth so I was there. The benefits and proceeds went to CRPA. It was $70 a person with about 300 people in attendance. That's $21,000 dollars paid to CRPA from an issuing agency who they have no desire to go after for Bruen Violations. That's a conflict of interest. Not to count the donations, memberships and items sold. Our rights are being sold at a high price and it needs to stop.

Please show me the historical analogues at the time of the founding where, "We The People" had to trundle on down to the local constabulary and BEG the sheriff for permission to exercise out GOD GIVE right of self defense?
