Cheers for the Video clip! Excuse me for butting in, I would appreciate your initial thoughts. Have you considered - Elenajan Supplement Smasher (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is a great one off guide for learning how to shrimp farm like a pro minus the normal expense. Ive heard some amazing things about it and my friend after many years got excellent results with it.
Dave, the best part of the entire video was when you took the time to stop what you were doing and go give that baby a hug and kiss....take it from an old timer with two grown children, we always feel like we could have spent more time with the kids. No one ever says "I wish I spent more time working when the kids were young". Cherish the moments, I know now cuz of my two year old granddaughter. Thanks for the great video buddy! Cheers from KC
Thank you Tim! Your absolutely right, it’s very easy to get caught up in the work around the place and not dedicate enough time to the little ones! It’s something I still need to try to do better at but I do give it my best effort because of knowing how quickly they are growing up! It’s unreal how quick time goes by! I appreciate your comment Tim :) have a good week my friend!
Just took delivery of my LS this morning and have been cutting a road for my property all day and can't wait to put the backhoe back on and start digging. Thanks for sharing and as always keep building👍
That’s great Todd! Glad to hear ya got one, it sure has been a great tractor for us. I am sure you will get a lot out of it. Best of luck and happy Tractoring 🤠🚜💪👍
Hometown Acres thank you! I’m hoping to be seeing a lot of green around it soon! I appreciate the feedback, I’m wanting to landscape those tiers with some bigger rocks and ferns or something I’m not sure haha. Thanks again, take care!
Morning Dave, enjoyed the video again . Watched it yesterday while waiting on the doctors and didn't get to listen to it. Today with sound it was even better. Loved the part where Momma brought the Munchkin out to visit you, they were great to have in the video too. You're getting the water a little better under control around there, with springs it is a never ending job for sure. Thanks for sharing .
Good morning Fred! Thanks for watching :D the weather has seemed to break into nice spring weather around here so it’s nice to be out and about! The little ones sure like helping dad haha. Your right about the springs, they seem to be almost everywhere around here. Thanks again my friend, have a good week!
Team Stucker thanks! I had a lot of fun with it, I think it will turn out pretty good after a little more landscaping around it and get some grass growing! Take care my friend!
Man I’m jealous of that soil you have there in Ohio. Here in Arkansas it’s mostly rock where I live. Probably mainly due to my town being on top of a big inactive volcano. Probably why I snapped the cylinder rod on the boom of my backhoe. Yeah still got to get that fixed. Probably get one from tractor supply, then rebuild the one on it now for a backup.
DeHaven Family Farm thanks! I know I may have some trouble with that, I might look into something to help control the algae and lower my drain pipe a bit. It has a real nice fill rate but the whole pond is dug below grade and is basically leaching through the top of the dam where I filled it and wasn’t able to pack it in real well. Thanks for the tips, I appreciate ya watching!
Thank you Hannah! We have been blessed with great soil and very Little Rock! The gardens have done very well :) I appreciate you watching and for the comment, take care!
I'm looking for a compact backhoe. I had big plans for it but after watching you try to dig with it I see how limited the reach really is. Appreciate the video.
Thanks for watching, you have a good point. If you need more reach and maneuverability I’d look into a mini excavator! They would have more digging force as well. Hope that helps, take care!
Impressive backhoe. Nice project that'll keep you busy for a while. What are going to do with that pond muck? Great soil for vegetables, I would think!
Mountain Green thank you! It sure was a fun project, after I get some landscaping done I figure it’ll look pretty good :) as far as the muck right now I’ve just pushed it back, but I bet your right probably would be good for a garden! Thanks for watching, take care!
Thanks Tony! Yes I try not to bulldoze with the loader, take little more time and save on the machine! Hopefully it will last me a long time :) I appreciate the comment, thanks for watching! Take care
My Slice Of Heaven Outdoors thanks Joey! It’s not going to be very big, I have had blue gill in it from last summer and they seem to be doing good! That’s probably the only fish, I just wanted enough to take the girls out to play around :) thanks for watching!
+ohio hill top hobby farm You should really slope 1 of the banks on the pond in case a wild animal or dog falls in, that way theres an easy way for them to climb out if need be. It kind of looks like theres a low spot and my comment might be invalid but its always hard to tell on video. I like your videos and content and always find your channel enjoyable, keep up the good work.
Willow thanks for the feed back! Yup that’s a very good point :) the hole side where the discharge pipe is has a nice slope and the side I was digging on is about 6” above the water line! I thank ya for watching though, and I’m glad you enjoy the videos :) I’ve been slacking a little here the last few weeks with posting videos but we have been busy that’s for sure! Take care my friend
Amazing Dave your land is Awsome ..Never see you having a Rock in your way I no that tractor is doing good..But your lucky to have such dirt .imaging trying to dig a 5 foot long boulder out of there .I think you'd kill your tractor..✌ like your videos .keep up the build on your land .
Thanks William :) your right there is definitely limitations to this blue boy , I’m just glad we have been able to do most of the work with it! Thanks for watching our videos, I sure appreciate the support!
Hello i see this combination is really good a tractor with backhoe and front one. I am thinking to buy tractor almost the same and buy these components for digging and etc. instead of buying excavator . Please share your experience the real excavator i am sure does a better performance but you cant use it for agriculture. Mainly i need excavator but if i can do the job with the tractor i will be more happy. All info provided will be very helpful thanks ! About prices, budget and capability!!!
Hi and thanks for watching! This tractor combo is great for working around the farm, with that being said I don’t really work it to hard. If you had a lot of tough digging to do I’d recommend getting an excavator, mainly because of power, speed, and overall stronger hydraulic systems to support the high heat and tough work. But for being only a 35Hp tractor this thing can do some serious work! For maintaining roads, building all of my buildings, and occasional stump removal it has been perfect for me. If you were looking for production though you could earn your money back quicker with the excavator if you have the means to move it to different jobs. Hope that helps!
Haha thanks Richard! A set of teeth sure would be handy with those vines and roots! I’ve looked at a couple bolt on types but haven’t set out to buy any just yet. I appreciate ya watching buddy, take care!
@@OhioHillTopsHobbyFarm I've got a set of teeth on my 4in1 bucket on my New Holland 675e. A grapple rake is where it's at. I leave it on most of the time. Clean up is a lot easier with one.
Awesome video and work with the blue beast! Thanks man.
Thanks Kap! I had a lot of fun with it, playing in the dirt is always a good time haha. Take care man!

Look at you being a pro with the backhoe!!! The place is looking great. Axle cracked me up with that big stick he had. Lol. 👍🏻
Nice...tonnes of fun.......thank you for sharing...
Thanks Michael! I had a lot of fun with it and got a lot done :) doesn’t get much better for me haha! Good ol’ tractor therapy. Take care!
That’s going to look beautiful when the seed takes root. Those tiers you built were really cool. Great video Dave!

Nice job with the backhoe! Just make sure your pond is deep enough and has water coming in and out so it doesn't build up with algae 🙂

How is the tractor holding up?
It's still great! I've got a bit over 300 hours and it hasn't skipped a beat.
What size LS is that,,im about to buy one and havent decided which size,,m223 seems to be about right..
This is an XR3135, 35Hp and has plenty of power for all of my needs. Definitely a solid tractor. Thanks for watching!

I'm pretty sure could fish with that backhoe, just add hook line and sinker! Lol

You were doing a great job on the tractor Dave. How big is the pond going to be when finished? big enough for some fish?
