- I understand I have covered the 32 beat pattern in other videos however I wanted to dedicate a lot of time to talk about how key this is to begin mixing DnB and do my best to get you guys hearing and listening for the beat pattern.
Hopefully this helps those of that have literally just set up your decks and are getting started. As I understand many of you have bought new decks and my other videos may confuse you. Hopefully this one should apply across the board to every pair of Decks.
Please let me know in the comments what you’d like me to cover in future videos
Any questions please comment or reach out to me on social media.

that was the simplest video i’ve see on it, been stuck for weeks watching everyone else! good stuff
Really Pleased to hear it! Thank you ✌🏻
@@MedicineDNB are there easier ways to read 16 bar phrases? Instead of counting?
These tutorials! 😍
That helped alot! Would defo like too see some similar videos like this again 👌
j welford please it helped! Will have more on the channel soon 👊🏻
Another brilliant video 👏🏼
Dewi Ronan love to hear that thank you! glad it made some sense 👊🏻🙌🏻♥️

ily
Are you using serato pro or lite?
How do you deal with tracks that have 2 regular 32 beat sections, but then a 16 beat section leading into the drop. Ive found it in a few phibes tunes, and also in the dillinger rmx of come together
I think I figured it out by breaking down to 16 bar sections
What music source do you use (Spotify, soundcloud etc) and also what DJ software do you use
I don’t use any😂 I check beatport/ Juno records weekly when I load up on new tracks as I don’t really have the time to listen to music so I devote and couple hours a week to finding new music.
And in terms of DJ software I used to use serato however now I use rekordbox to get my tracks onto my decks but all my waveforms are now on my decks so I don’t need any software 👌🏻
@@MedicineDNB thank you. Lovin the videos mate best on RUclips so original👌🏽
How do you prefer to beat match , do you use sync buttons on ure decks or do it by ear
Itz Flashbangz I beat match by ear ✌🏻
@@MedicineDNB good man
You not a dj if you don't beat match, dnb syncs up crap so don't bother,I got technics so I can dj but that had me confused was it 2 or 3 tunes there I'm trying the cues ect so would of liked a mix to show
Should you use MP3 or wav , am just starting out digital and I have just downloaded all my tunes MP3
So wavs are really only vital if your playing through some huge speakers/sound systems (in a club or at festival) as they will sound better where as mp3s can sound a lil tinny at times 👊🏻
Cheers for the help , think MP3 will do for me , don't think al be playin in any clubs that big
nvm i’m not buying decks 😆
If it was a 96 beat track where would you put the cue point?
You would put your cue points at 32 and 64. However I tend to mix in half’s so personally I put them at - 32 48 64 80 -
@@MedicineDNB Ok cheers, was a bit confused that's all, keep up the good work! 🤘🏻🔥
Apologies I’ve corrected my comment it was a little wrong. Much love thank you! Good luck
@@MedicineDNB Its fine, some of my tracks were easy to do the 32 beats before the drop, but some had longer intros/breakdowns before the drop so I got confused lol
Do you mean Bars? 4 Beats = 1 Bar.... "EDIT" ha! no! your right, i went and counted them, 64 little individual beats between POIs.. When you say it out loud, sounds way to small! My bad!
Nice video, but dude you gotta work on the volume level, switching between videos even on your own channel it's all over the place. Simple rule, in whatever editing software you're using, normalize your peaks to reach up to - 1dB. That will make the loudest sounds equally loud as everything else on RUclips (as most people aim for something around 0dB to -3dB)
Niklas so are you saying it’s loud or too quiet? Am Very confused😅 appreciate the feedback though
@@MedicineDNB Matts Medicine way too quiet! Sorry I didn't make myself clear there.
Niklas Niklas I’m with you now! I turned the music volume down in editing as originally you couldn’t hear me talking. Ended up doing the reverse and making music quiet 😭 my bad. Not sure how my other videos are quiet though? Which ones in question may I ask?
