It's wild to see Intel slip so much in competitive performance(especially per watt). I admit I wanted AMD to succeed, but not by Intel falling so far behind.
There needs to be competition, otherwise we just get another nvidia sadly enough.
Not only that but with that extra power draw, there is the heat and the fan speed increase needed to cool it. You might gain a few frames with Intel, but the power draw/fan noise and electric bill really push Intel out of my sights until they get close to AMD efficiency.
It's not AMD that Intel is competing with; it's actually TSMC. Once they catch up in their foundry business to TSMC, a lot of interesting things will happen.
i have given up on intel cpu's but the gpu's look promising
@swagyolo8602 This is like saying AMD will catch up to Nvidia in gpu's. Unless Nvidia or TSMC stops innovating, AMD and Intel respectively, will never catch up. Intel did stop innovating for a long time, and that's how AMD came to be in the position they're in now with cpu's.
I like how Intels marketing budget is double AMD and people still know it better
The product speaks. Their cpus have come a long way.
The 9800X3D is what I'm waiting for.
Same.. but I'm just waiting for x3d and I'll see which one is the 7800x3d of the group
@infinitedragonsunlocked, maybe they'll fix there two other cpus and we can have a 16 core monster that actually works as promised

@@rkwjunior2298 Not necessarily the fastest the cpu can support. More often than not AMD processors perform better with a lower transfer rate since that means low cas latency (CL) as well. I'd say the fastest with CL 30 or lower, what do you think?

@3polygons They leave out the important bit, RTX 4070 Mobile. That's desktop RTX 3060, but still a nice jump from current APUs.
@@drewnewby Well... A 3060 is what I have in my desktop, for working. It works amazingly with anything that needs 2D or 3D acceleration (software, I mean). So.. I'm very eager to see how it compares in productivity to a discrete card like a 3060.

Wow computers that are keyboards. Going back in time to Timex Sinclair / TI 99/4A / C64 days
Zx81, acorn atom, ti99/4A, svi 328. Seen them all 😂
I'm actually happy the 9950x3D is doing the 3Dvcache on only one CCD. Hopefully it means they are committed to getting the scheduling worked out, which will benefit the 7950x3D's too.
Plus I like that the non 3D vcache gets to clock higher, since it can transfer heat better since the cache isn't in the way.
They've built super powerful console apu's for years now. Having that power in small pcs is pretty cool.
i wonder if the 8840U keyboard device might revive the "keyboard wedge" sector of the computer market so dominant in the 80s
I think we need a bloopers reel! 10:23

we need out-takes on the end of each video, just for a giggle lol
@3:20 A keyboard PC would be interesting, especially if it was useable as a standalone keyboard when the hardware becomes outdated.
you would be surprised how many of us would enjoy the burps and bloopers left in. You could actually save money on editing time. Try one episode in one shot, with multiple vantage point cameras.
I'm waiting for the 9900X3D to roll out before building my next rig. I'm not jumping in right away.
I’m definitely looking forward to upgrading my 7900X to a 9900X3D if they fixed the ccd issues

I have a 7950X3D, will probably upgrade to a 9950X/X3D sometime next year after seeing how it fares according to reviewers and 'early-adopters'.
I wonder how heavy the keyboard pc will be lol.
I want a strix halo mini pc ASAP
I am waiting to see launch price of AMD 9950 before deciding. Also, I am looking forward to new laptops with AMD newest NPU. I hope it comes in 17.3 inch laptop 4k version OLED would be awesome!

im waiting to see what the price of the 7700x and 7700 will be in the uk after the ryzen 9000 launch
I have a Raspi 400 which is a computer in a keyboard. Fair enuff, it's only a Pi 4 not an actual PC, but it's quite good :). Back in the late 70's early 80's when I first got into computer gaming, most computers were built into keyboards (Commodore 64, Vic 20, Atari 600/800XL, the Amiga range). Ahh, the joy of being a 'tweenie' back then 😄

The keyboard /computer combo would be sweet if the added a fold down screen. Then you could just sit in in your lap and.... Oh wait
I think I'm leaning towards the 9950X for my next computer to replace my 5950X. I'll probably wait to see what Arrow Lake brings. I would like the media engine with XAVC decoding that Intel brings, but I might just use something like the Arc A310 as a secondary GPU.
In having a 7950x3d do you think it’s gonna be even worth upgrading when the 3d chips come out?

My AMD 9590 cpu died (and the Asus Hero board it was in), so building a new PC over the next few months. I think no matter what I buy is gonna be a huge upgrade, but buying everything except the processor so I can see how the 9000 series are and what happens to the 7000 series prices.

AMD is producing amazing chips. And I'm still happy with my Ryzen 2600. The new ones must be blazing fast.

AMD Ryzen Strix Halo seems to be bigger innovation than the "AI" things that everybody is talking about.
It will have bigger impact on PC industry, especially rise of mini-PC over desktop, and demise of entry-level graphics card.
I am holding off my PC-related purchase until how good Strix Halo will turn out to be.

Those do not remove tags on your mattress and pillows are only for the manufacturer. It states this literally on the tags themselves. You are allowed to remove them lol
I waited for a decent price on zen 4. I got a GMKtek K8 for $640.
Interesting video. The { Comsumer } can Remove the tags just not the Retailers.
AMD is really making a name for themselves. I had a 4000 series ryzen and loved it but i will say i still think my next PC will be INTEL. They just give you way more like thunderbolt and USB and PCIE generations before AMD will.
I just bought a system with a 7800x3d, i doubt I'll honestly upgrade it until 8k monitors and systems become readily available and cheap-ish. I don't expect that to be in another 4-6 years, perhaps even more, and I'll be happily enjoying my 4k gaming experience until 8k capable chips and cards and monitors come to the market.
I dont see the point in even upgrading my system in the meantime, clearly the PC market is going to stagnate soon, especially if in 2 generations time mid to low end GPU and CPU combos start being capable of mid to low end 4k gaming.
I can easily imagine being able to build a 4k capable system for less than 1000$ (monitor included) in 2-3 years, especially if chips like the 7800x3d could potentially be found for under 200$ and are readily available.
Amd being more known than intel.... thats like... god i started building in Bulldozer days... the low point. Thats like... i have shivers lol.
Waiting for Intel and AMD’s x3d before I do my next build end of the year. All the data is important. This may be Intels most important release. If they don’t bring it they are in trouble after the 13/14 issues. They should frankly offer a credit to people that bought those CPUs.
I thought myself a brave boy. But now I'm terrified of a Mattress King😢
I like the old days when you could walk into micro center, buy an atholon II and get a free motherboard.
Keyboards with my computer in it? umm yeah.. like my first computer in the 80s. Like Commodore 8bits, Atari 8bits, Amiga, and Atari ST?
I wonder if those geekbench scores have the intel CPU baseline profile enabled. At least I hope so. It'd be a bit false if not as I can't recommend anyone use anything else with the recent stability issues intel has been having.
BTW makes it a bit difficult to trust reviews too unless they specify what they enabled. And how does that affect new CPU releases? Do we have to test baseline AND the maximum performance profile as well? this gets more confusing and more bad the more I think about it.

I went to my local pc shop and they proceeded to say a 4090 was £2100. I know there expensive but geez. What are they like where you guys are
I just picked up an OEM tray 7700x for 180 Ameribux, a sweet deal on a CPU that's blowing my socks off so far. Plan was to simply sell it on to the next ebay shopper and upgrade to a 7800x3d once the 9000 series leading-edgers start upgrading away from current gen. My plans might change, if 9000 x3d launches soon enough, and at a compelling enough price.
My plans for a GPU upgrade, from a 2080, are also going to finalized and acted upon once the RTX 5000 series launches. If I can get a good price on a used 3090 or 3090 ti, or perhaps a 4080.
Indeed, new launches are like Christmas land for used PC parts buyers as well.
