That AMD was actually my first actual build and damn were parts extremely cheap back then for really high performance budget builds.
An honest question: with the upcoming updates and the scaling prices... is it a good time to build a new machine? Specially thinking for the non-tech enthusiast.
Earlier it was much easier to know which one is newer chipset like 12th, 13th , 14th gen …. But now 9 ultra 213k (which gen is it 😅) I better go for 9950X
If there ever was a time that I am glad for two things, that I'm not on the latest gen and that I'm not using anything higher than an i5 at least as an intel user. If I ever have to replace my CPU I'm going to go AMD. From what I know so far I'll at least have better luck with them in the CPU department than I've had in the GPU department.
Bearing in mind that an i914ks costs something like €800... Or an i914k costs €630, a life expectancy of about 2 years maximum seems like a bad investment.
Intel maybe failed with releasing reliable CPUs for two generations, but at least they're vague in admiting that they failed and will help customers who suffered from their Digital Error Intels.
Actually, in reality (on the job) Intel is not loosing anything, businesses still buy Intel without even thinking (servers, laptops, desktops) like nothing happened, gamers also.
It's not a matter of being harsh or lenient, it's a matter of saying what needs to be said in an appropriate manner, especially on a public platform that will influence at least peoples buying decisions. I appreciate AMD in recent years for their CPU development and now doing the right thing and delaying the 9000 series because they did not meet QA assessment. I will however not defend past transgressions like their pricing for the 5000-series on launch (specifically 5600X) or, as mentioned, the 7900XTX cooler issues. In the same way Intel may have had some good processors in the past, or is doing good with its GPUs so far, it's impossible to just simply ignore these issues for how widespread they are and the distinct lack of communication or a clear solution.
I sure hope everyone believes Intel is second best. My thinking goes like this: I am never buying the ultimate anything. The price curve gets stupid real fast, 100% more money for 10% more performance. So if people don't want perfectly useful processors, I will gladly buy them and save hundreds.
I'm going to upgrade my PC and keep current one as a streaming PC sometime soon, should I just go for 7800X3D and RX 7900XTX, or do I wait for Ryzen 9000 series, and go with a better CPU?
@@bal7ha2ar I can almost quarantee it's NOT going to be the same price in my country, it's prolly gonna be like 1.25% inflated price on ALL the new parts lol (7800X3D is still 400-500€ here, and RTX 4000 series is still inflated as hell)
Somehow I would like to see people reactions being more consistent, like "we don't like reddit for monopoly or whatever, use alternatives (I don't know if there is any)", we don't like "Google because it spies on us" and still the number 1 search engine by users and so on, but reality is we are not consistent, not united and very lazy 😢
14:10 You're not being harsh, it's definitely good to "have a voice" against this, because maybe Intel will listen to you and realize how bad they are right now... Maybe???
Intel did not do enough tests, and released a Product that is failing. They would have been much better doing another couple weeks of testing before sending it out. However, marketing won and release these chips that hadn't passed all the testing. Intel was the go to for fast reliable CPUs. This was a hugh PR Marking miss. If AMD is on their toes, they might be able to steal market share.
AMD still has stability issues with Memory. Watched a video where a techtuber went through 4 different 7800x3d procs, 3 different boards and 4 different kits of ram just to get it stable.... It's not that you are harsh on intel it's that you claim to just buy AMD like they haven't had umpteen issues over their life span and ones they still (after all these years) can't fix... Make it make sense.

The Internet, and Redit in particular, has been going to shit the last couple of years. *clutches cane and shakes it at clouds"
So, the reason why Gemini is racist is because it's getting trained from reddit? Makes sense tbh
I heard AMD has delayed the new chips until the 15th of August.
single ccd are out on 8th, dual ccd on 15th
Didn’t we all know that the new ryzen chips we’re gonna be delayed it happens with almost ever Tec launch
This is what happens when any company goes public. Things start to devolve into pure shit. Money money money money.
Who would have thought selling your cpus with critical build problems would make people not want to buy your stuff.
Crowdstrike: Doing the PR Fail Trifecta since July 2024
This Reddit/Google thing sure sounds like a violation of antitrust regulations.
If all of the ryzen 9000 Series CPUs got pulled then that means the one guy that got the retail box that released a review for it has a very rare CPU
always was an intel boy, was planning on my first water cooled build next year looks like ill be going amd
This is not the first time with CrowdStrike because they did this a few months back on Linux. Try doing your research.
I'll be sticking with my 5900X until AMD gets any issues sorted with the 9000 series, then I might upgrade to what the X3D for that series is.
Actually, in reality (on the job) Intel is not loosing anything, businesses still buy Intel without even thinking (servers, laptops, desktops) like nothing happened, gamers also.
What are good companies that do pc builds with AMD ryzen ? I wanted a dell but they are not offering that
Oh well, goodbye, Reddit. I am NOT using Google search, for ANY reason.
Is the Ryzen 5 7600x still a good cpu in this day and age? For a build of 700 dollars
I’m also wondering what gpu is best for it
it's a great gaming cpu, I personally wouldn't pair it with anything above 4070 super/7800XT. I sold mine because I need more multi core performance

Launch date for AMD 9000 series is going to be pushed back. Hardware unboxed said they called AMD after not receiving a test sample.
I'm going to upgrade my PC and keep current one as a streaming PC sometime soon, should I just go for 7800X3D and RX 7900XTX, or do I wait for Ryzen 9000 series, and go with a better CPU?
wait a bit. if the 9700x can match the 7800x3d at a lower price you might be able to safe some money
@@bal7ha2ar I can almost quarantee it's NOT going to be the same price in my country, it's prolly gonna be like 1.25% inflated price on ALL the new parts lol (7800X3D is still 400-500€ here, and RTX 4000 series is still inflated as hell)
@@HopplyYTget the 7800x3d, using it for a year or 1.5year until the 9800x3d come
@@football4.069 yeah, that's what I thought of doing too.

I'm so lost w/ these new naming conventions of these CPUs.
Launch has been postponed to August 15.
Training AI with Reddit is like feeding a mogwai after midnight...
Gamer’s Nexus reported AMD chips will be mid-August.
Yesterday gamers nexus reported the AMD launch was pushed back and the chips sent out were recalled for verification
I bet people actually died on the crowd strike day, emergency service numbers failing etc.
6:50 - Kyle Gass's apology lasted longer than that.
BRETT-Are you going to get the 9900x and 9950x ON THE LAUNCH DAY
Did an AMD push the launch back to August 15th
What was that ending there Bret, gotta love it though.
AMD please make sure the 9000-series X3D chips have super high QC, that will be my official upgrade. Also please continue to dunk on Intel.
Google still has Google Groups.
Also, seems like I remember some other type of forum they had, can't remember the name..?🤔
14:10 You're not being harsh, it's definitely good to "have a voice" against this, because maybe Intel will listen to you and realize how bad they are right now... Maybe???
they took a note from Microsoft on the dev kits..
Reese provides. 😊
HDMI gets pretty wonky after 25 ft
AMD still has stability issues with Memory. Watched a video where a techtuber went through 4 different 7800x3d procs, 3 different boards and 4 different kits of ram just to get it stable.... It's not that you are harsh on intel it's that you claim to just buy AMD like they haven't had umpteen issues over their life span and ones they still (after all these years) can't fix... Make it make sense.
I have the 3 x3d 7800x3d 7900x3d 7950x3d no memory problem my 3 cpu takes xmp or expo at 6400 oc cl 30-34-34-34 without any problem with the soc voltage at 1.23 volt
@@thegameoftimeskiller2984 are you running 32gb or 64gb?
If AI is a bubble, I hope this shit pops soon. I hate AI being placed on every tech product then paying more for something that I won't even use.
