My 5-year-old daughter asked me "hey daddy, why do only boys talk about airplanes?" Shame on me for not finding you sooner! Great content! Thanks for sharing!
Look up the Oct ’06 edition of AOPA Pilot. The Best Buy article was on C-150-152. The plane used for the article was 3723V a 1976 C-150M. I owned her at the time. She was affectionately called the little plane at the airport. I would often just take her up and fly out over Catalina Island.
Beautiful video... takes me back 45 years when I started flying, it was in a Cessna 150, great memories. Many hours later, I got my Commercial and Instrument and ended up as a Flight Engineer on C-141s in the Air Force, back in the 80s. I was privileged to have flown and did touch and goes in a KC-135, also.
Amy...that is one of the very best aircraft videos I have ever seen! No talking helped to make it more enjoyable and looking into the sun was spectacular. Beautiful camera work! Beautiful Fun-Wifty too. Unusually good condition and so very, very clean...shows your pride of ownership. And, about your “rusty” landing...you know as well as I do that it was close to perfect. :) Congratulations. I too owned a Cessna 150 and flew the wheels off it and loved that airplane. Flew it to Oshkosh, twice. Quite the thrill...I hope you fly your 150 there too, if you have not already. Too bad it had to be cancelled this year.I just subscribed.
Some day (soon, I hope) we’ll decide to post videos without distracting music overlays. Pulling the aircraft out of the hanger and landing were definitely the best parts of the video. Beautiful airplane. Gorgeous flight scenery. Great editing. I know lots of people like music. I just don’t know why. There’s nothing like the sound of the engine and the scenery to carry the topic. By the way, great landing.
That was a good landing .....you hit the centerline! Nice wing camera, I can't wait to see it mounted in the back. Fly safe.....Ensign! and congratulation....
I remember your videos of watching you learn how to fly, then you and your mom buying the airplane from your instructor. Time flies! Nice 150 you have there. Fly safe, from one Tarheel to another.
...new subscriber here...just discovered your channel..and thanks for such a fun little video...with such great music.....and keep up with all your good work Amy...
If that's a rusty landing I can't wait to see a greaser. Nice clear skies there too, crisp and cool no doubt compared to hot,dry and smokey in Australia.
Landing was great. It is true that skills go away fast if not flying. Just looked at my log book and I hope my Champ is kind to me after 30 days of not flying her.
I hope OCS went well. Thank you for your service. Thought after watching your first video - daaaang, that girl nails her landings Thought up to the end of this video - daaaang, that girl nails her landings. Even though the wing camera was "a ways off" from the cabin... did anyone else feel the same look of joy and relaxation that she had on her face. Once I'm in the air and flying I feel the same way (sometimes I say "there is no spoon" out loud but you'd have to be a fan of the Matrix to know what that means... )
Okay, Amy, you always fly wonderful, stabilized approaches, and your "rusty" or "gross!" landings in your view would be the BEST LANDING EVER for many aviators. Yeah, I chuckle. But I hope, most fervently, that you never lose your attitude and your high standards. Nice vid 😃
Thanks for nice PM. I love to fly and it makes a much better experience when there is a bit of background about the plane and how it is operated and what and why things are happening along the way. I have seen vids about abandoned aircraft at small remote airfields and have been left wondering about how they got abandoned and why the owners walked away leaving them parked up to rot into the tarmac. Have great fun flying your lovely 150. Fly safe. Don't forget any landing the you walk away from is a good landing. Cheers from the UK.
I’ve commented once before, but it bears repeating, you absolutely have a gift for editing and knowing how to tell a story with the camera shots and views.
We all are harsh on our own landings. Sometimes I get an “oh yes” moment when I grease an approach and landing. (Often a rough, un-stabilised approach wrecks a smooth landing) and when landing at Cowra (YCWR) everything went well, the approach flawless, the initial touchdown an “oh yes” moment, then the gusting headwind, an “oh bugger” moment lifted me off the ground and plonked me back down with little time to react with the throttle. Urghh it happens. I was the PIC of a Jabiru 230D from Orange (YORG) to Cowra and on to Temora (YTEM) for an Airshow then on to West Wyalong (YWWL).
Thanks for sharing, Amy, and congratulations on completing OCS. Is the plane in NC and OCS was in Washington or vice versa? Lucky 150 to be hangared. Landings and communications are the two things that can get rusty. Fly safe!
Perfect she is.. keep her that way , it will become an historical classic plane like a they have warbirds. Soon these planes are history , mark my words.
Beautiful plane! I want one. It's a 150 but that's fine. Well, wonderful even. I don't want one to build time on. I'm not interested in moving up. I want a 150 for what it is. I'm looking for a 150E straight tail. One was for sale in St George very recently but someone beat me to it. Thanks for the video. Nicely done.
Can't say this about too many Cessna 150 s but that one is exceptionally good-looking. I have flown several Cessna 150 s and spent quite some time in a 1964 Cessna 150 commuter. Straight tail, mechanical flaps, rear window, child seat in the rear. All of them are fun aircraft to fly. You must like your passenger but they are more like putting on an airplane instead of getting into it which is part of their appeal. Very nice job on this video. I am wondering what cameras you are using? First Rate! Doran Jaffas N625MS Tailwind W8
Amy, I’m planning a “Bucket List Flight” coast to coast. Would love to get some Tips/ ideas about best route and stops. Dave Messina Arrow N33668 based at KONX.
Nice video. I am torn...I love 150/152’s but I have a family if 4. I am looking to partner with a Cherokee 6 but still would like to get a 150/152 just for me or a light friend when I just want to fly and not burn killer gas :). You think this would be a bad move or just stick with the Cherokee 6 even for I just want to fly moments?
Really Nice video and beautiful 150, but it would have been nice to have heard the engine and the dialogue between you and the ATC. Instead of the music. Filling the plane with fuel, checking it over and a little bit about the flight. great stuff though
This video is just me enjoying a flight. I didn't have to put any gas in. I never got high enough to talk to any ATC facility and I wouldn't have even if I could have reached them. I was simply enjoying an evening putt around the patch and getting reacquainted with my bird after being away for 17 weeks. Thanks for watching and for the comment tho!
My 5-year-old daughter asked me "hey daddy, why do only boys talk about airplanes?" Shame on me for not finding you sooner! Great content! Thanks for sharing!
Congratulations on becoming a Coast Guard officer. Thank you for your service !
That is hands down one of the prettiest 150’s I’ve ever seen.
I took Lessons in a 150 in 1962 and loved it. More was not to be.

That is the nicest looking 150 I’ve seen in a very long time.

learned to fly in a 150....and kept renting them for years....love that little plane

Wow! Wonderful video! Lovely plane! Keep working on those landings. If a baby was sleeping as a Pax, it wouldn’t have woken up on the landing!
Sweet! Great video; thanks for sharing. Captures how I feel in my J3 Cub enjoying the smooth air of late afternoons-its great, huh?!
Ahh! Amazing shots! I booked a discovery flight for April and are super excited! Have been watching plane videos to wait the time lol! So cool!
Your aircraft looks in great condition Amy - I'd call it "Nifty 150"!
Geez Amy, I thought that was a nice landing! That is one sweet little bird!
What really impresses me about your videos is that you're a filmmaker and a pilot. Your videos are works of art.
Amy she is a beautiful bird. Congrats
That was a very respectable landing.
Amy, that landing was text book----no rust on that one!!
Great video Amy. Love the music on this one!

ahhhhh...love that sound of that engine. i can smell it now.
Sharp looking little bird!
That was a good landing .....you hit the centerline!
Nice wing camera, I can't wait to see it mounted in the back.
Fly safe.....Ensign!
and congratulation....
A beautiful plane for a beautiful pilot. YAY!
I remember your videos of watching you learn how to fly, then you and your mom buying the airplane from your instructor. Time flies! Nice 150 you have there. Fly safe, from one Tarheel to another.
Beautiful landscape thanks Amy for the video
sexiest 150 i ever seen. love em. i got a 72 inch span rc 150 plane..with landing lights..strobes..flaps..etc. nice plane.
I owned a Cessna 150 in Alaska and we flew that little devil every where.
Great forgiving little plane 1959 model

life is good for you! what a beautiful 150!!!!
This is so beautiful!
If that's a rusty landing I can't wait to see a greaser. Nice clear skies there too, crisp and cool no doubt compared to hot,dry and smokey in Australia.
agree, if thats rusty, I am 6 foot, muscular and handsome..... (I'm not)....
Agreed as that landing was pretty much picture perfect.
No joke. I wish my landings were that good.
Landing was great. It is true that skills go away fast if not flying. Just looked at my log book and I hope my Champ is kind to me after 30 days of not flying her.
also in the US most people dont use flaps, which is designed for landing AND take off
I hope OCS went well. Thank you for your service.

A fantastic video! Thank you for sharing.
That was a nice landing. Great editing btw.
Congratulations .. WIsh You Big Success
Looks like it was an awesome day! Happy flying!
Perfect landing
Love your videos!
Great video. I liked the scenery and that beautiful sunset just off of the wing. You have a beautiful Cessna 152!!
150/152 are so fun to fly.
Great video, I wish I had a plane like that! Also great music, Moon Taxi 👌
Congratulations on finishing OCS!!!! Beautiful landing:)
You are awesome 👏

I really enjoy your videos! I always wanted to have my private pilots license.
Nothing wrong with that landing! Beautiful flight.
Great landing if you ask me
Nice A/C! Congrats on the great landing and graduating Coast Guard.
I’ve commented once before, but it bears repeating, you absolutely have a gift for editing and knowing how to tell a story with the camera shots and views.
Congrats on finishing OCS!
Thats' the cleanest Cessna 150 I've ever seen.
That was a perfect landing, what are you talking about. 🤩
I'm just down the road from you. I've had a number of very good friends stationed out there.
best sunset vid I have seen! thanks
Wasnt that a beautiful sunset.
Same. I've been trying to get my sunset flight shots looking that good for years.
The landing looked great to me.
I would be cartwheeling with delight if i did that landing 😀
Steve.
Keep these vids coming!
Your videos remind me of how much fun it was to fly a 152 slow and sight see. Nice editing too.
awesome!
Keep living the Dream Amy! Nicer 150.
Beautiful airplane lady !!!
Fun fun, Amy!

Rusty landing? You'd best not fly with me! That was a greaser. Butter
Perfect Evening
That’s a pretty little 150. Probably the prettiest I’ve seen
Thanks for sharing, Amy, and congratulations on completing OCS. Is the plane in NC and OCS was in Washington or vice versa? Lucky 150 to be hangared. Landings and communications are the two things that can get rusty. Fly safe!
OCS was in CT, and I got stationed in WA thereafter. I made this video back in May, but just never uploaded until now!
Perfect she is.. keep her that way , it will become an historical classic plane like a they have warbirds.
Soon these planes are history , mark my words.
I pray ro someday have your rusty landing. signed guy who just started the landing portion of flight instruction.

this is the first plane I flew (back in 1984!) of course it didn't have led lights or foreflight :-)
Nice video. I like to fly my C150 up here in the PNW. Hope you enjoyed OCS.
Cool videos ! Greetings from Israel
hermoso ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
That was a good no-flap landing! NC coast?
I'd like to hire you to pull my 747 from the hangar
What artist is doing the music? That is the prettiest 150 I've ever seen!
Thanks! That's Moon Taxi (the artist).
i guess i will be your 1000th sub :)

wonderful video-which action camera did you use?

How did you find a 150 that looks like it just rolled out of the factory doors? You lucky girl
Nice video. I am torn...I love 150/152’s but I have a family if 4. Does Ed have anything else to add? The music is great! ;)

Now I understand your move to Port Angles. Are you serving out on the hook?
Good ol Ediz
Air Force? Good for you!
Hey Amy I can't make a landing like that even on a good day.
damn....i wanna fly it.
Amy where can I find videos of you learning to fly?
Nice bird. Also, what's the song?
Nice video and beautiful 150, but had rather heard the engine instead of the music...
more videos please
It's so funny because I got my Instrument rating in a 150.. N9435U... your tail number is only one letter off
Maybe more shots of instrument panel and you iPad. Great job girl.
From Officer Candidate School to flight school perhaps? The Army needs aviators!
they might but she didn't join the Army. - Coast Guard
maybe a little facetious about the landing?
