Picking My Boyfriend Up in My Plane! - Flying the GlaStar into Boeing Field.

- It's been 3 months since a video! Wow. For once all the stars (ahem, weather) aligned and I was able to have a good flying day in the PNW. Driving to Seattle from the Olympic Peninsula is a 5-hour round trip, whereas flying is more like a 1-hour round trip. Needless to say, when it comes to picking up my boyfriend from his commercial flights into Seattle, flying the GlaStar always wins.
The audio dropped a couple times, so I apologize not all of it's there, but almost all of it is!! This was a heck of an edit juggling three camera angles in time with the audio, but I think I finally have it down. Please let me know if you enjoyed the video. Thank you everyone for the overwhelming support on this channel!!!

Flying with the big ones! I'll bet those C-17 crew members were looking at your airplane thinking, "I'd rather be flying that..." Such a pretty plane!
I bet the wake turbulence is horrible from that C-17
Some of the best camera placement on YT. I'll watch as many videos as you put up, and the more the better. More conversation from you and complete ATC comms would be great!
Woodstock is such a pretty airplane!
What a pleasant surprise seeing you and Woodstock again after all this time! Great flight, lots of radio traffic. Thoroughly enjoyed.
As always, thanks much for sharing.
Steve
Those reflections off the bottom of the wing are amazing!
Ok..that is way to cool!! She picks up her boyfriend in a plane.
Thanks for sharing your flights with us, Amy.
Beautiful flight! Definitely enjoyed the video! The 360 lets you add so much visual interest...thanks for going through all the edit machinations to get it to us.
Splendid job of editing of audio and video; I especially enjoyed vicariously riding along into KBFI. Thanks for the video!
Thank you for watching!
Perfect flight. Safe n sound.
So happy to see you and Woodstock again ... great views with all the cameras and the 360 under the belly ... your landings are so perfect, absolutely brilliant!
Beautiful plane, Amy. I love all the big windows that make it so bright inside.
Worth the wait Amy...Love your videos...
Some high quality images, very nice to see.
The reflections on that surface, magnificent.
Great Post Miss Amy! Looks Like you are getting along with GlaStar very well.....
Jeez, it is great to see you in the air again. What a nice video. I love seeing the Puget sound area. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for the posts, Amy. Was a great flight and love Woodstock.
Just so great having you back ! Woodstock looks cool !
Excellent video and editing as always. Keep up the great work!
Wow! The big runway at BFI. I don't think I've ever landed on that one. I always seem to get assigned the little one. Great video. Nice scenery. Happy to have you back! Thanks, Amy.
Realy loving the taildragger look.
Nice to see you are still getting in some flying
Way to go , Amy...I really enjoyed the trip...Woodstock looks great!!
Nice to see you back! Sure enjoy your content! Little Woodstock hanging out with the big boys!
As always, great! Loved the 360 belly cam views.
Beautiful airplane!!!
And the sights are awesome in that area, thanks for sharing.
Haven't been here in a while. So nice to see this again.
Glad to see you posting again, great video!
Beautiful flight, and I love that airplane, the colors are perfect!
Really nicely put together video, love all the different camera angles. A one hour scenic flight like that definitely beats the five hour drive!
I appreciate the feedback!
So good to see you back Amy. The polish on the wings is looking awesome! Hope you had wonderful holidays spent with family and loves ones.
Now I just need to do the other wing. 🤣 Thanks for the comment!
Love your videos. Your edits are always really well done
Amy! Happy to see another video.
Thanks for bringing us along Amy we enjoyed the experience !☺
Thanks for watching!
Very nicely placed tailwheel on the stripe when taxiing. Great rudder control. My Aunt lived up on Beacon Hill years ago and we used to walk down to Georgetown and take the bus to Boeing field. (before the freeway). Great memories. We have been to Seattle many times. Love your videos and just subscribed. Ex Stinson driver here in MN.
GlaStars are soooo fun to fly and they look so sick! Great Video!
More please! :) Wonderful flying, expert landings, and one beautiful aircraft! I really hope someone produces a model like yours for MSFS 2020 (even with the same paint scheme) so I can have a Woodstock of my own. Keep the vids coming, Amy!
As always, a great video. Thanks for sharing, and thank you and your BF for your service. Ha! The video was released on my birthday.
Enjoyed your video! Boeing field was where I got my PPL. Living in Pierce Co now so I'm flying out of Thun Field (PLU). Beautiful airplane! I'm building a Vans RV7 and hope to be flying that here in a couple years.
I always enjoy your videos. Your editing skills are second to none. Thanks.
Thank you, I appreciate the feedback!
Always enjoyable video and audio content. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you!
I should not be surprised that your radio work is smooth and proficient!
Amy, enjoyed that video I flew my first solo cross country 22 years ago same route. That view of the Seattle waterfront is something else when youbare on your own for the first time on a cross country. Ian from the Netherlands
Eric has made it in life well done champion lol awesome girl with a wicked plane 🙌🏻
Love your little Glasair!
Thanks!!
The glastar has such an elegant airframe. Its a beautiful
Good video after a long absence. Thanks!
So neat! Thanks!
Living the dream Amy...lucky you
That’s coolest yellow airplane I’ve seen in a long time. I use to fly a yellow Beech Sierra we called it the Cub Scout
Nice! Thanks for sharing!
love this plane! I have yet to learn to fly, but your videos are very informative.
SaWeet ride. LOVE that plane.
Yayyyyyy..amy is back!!
Great video Amy! The night shot at the end was cool.
What an awesome mix of aircraft! Would love to fly there one day.
Love your plane. Great video too
Beautiful airplane, your wing cam gives a great view. Also, I like the new landing gear configuration.
That was fun!! Thanks for the ride! 👊🏼😎
Very nicely done. I am surprised how much I miss your music-oriented editorial style, but having the narrative is awesome all around.
Nice day for a flight in the PNW. I LIVE IN SKAGIT VALLEY AND THERE'S NO BETTER PLACE. LOVE IT HERE. NICE FLYING AND LOVE THE NAME WOODSTOCK FOR YOUR PLANE. 👍👍😎✌✌
Great video and you included some super shots with the editing! Loved that Seattle skyline section. Cheers and blue skies! Why we get dislikes on these videos is way beyond me!
I think this has got to be one of the most beautiful videos you shot. The camera placements, scenery and overall look of this aviation flying was just perfect.
Thank you!
@@amywhite375 no problem.
Best way to get around!
Beautiful bird
thank you very much for information, congratulations again for your videos. good day
Enrico
Woodstock looks super cool with the tailwheel set up.
The mirror effect from the wing cam is very cool
Nice wheel landing!
The GLASTAR has to be THE BEST looking light aircraft EVER ! ! ! I loved it from the very first time I saw one, It has lovely lines and looks so sleek and cleverly built too with glass fibre over the steel structure . Great to see Amy so happy with her mew plane -- enjoy.
I must say I agree! I do love the way it looks.
Very nicely done AND a night sector!!
It took me a while to figure out what your home base was. I actually had to watch several of your videos until I saw the fuel farm and the open "carport" hangars before I recognized KCLM. I fly a Maule based out of 0S9 and often fly to PA when I'm just warming the oil with a local jaunt. I'll keep my eyes peeled for Woodstock when I'm there. Your videos and sound are really well done. Way to go! There's a GlasStar in the hangar next to mine that I've flown in several times. It's a great plane. Enjoy.
Im so impressed with your airplane, I've started the search for a Glastar or Sportsmen. Great Content!
This is awesome, Amy!!
Thank you!!!!!
that camera placement is freaking beautiful
I sure like the look with the new gear.
Thanks! I’m a big fan of it too.
Thanks, Amy!! My first thought, "Why so technical, radios, traffic?" Boeing Field!! In a pretty yellow tail dragger, and VFR to boot!!! And almost enough shots of the tail wheel that I love so much, too! Very nice for you guys to be able to commute once in a (sort of) fair Northwest day, and very cool to see Seattle from that point of view. Thanks again.
Thanks for the comment! Boeing is always fun.
Very nice! Taildraggers rule!👍😉
Nice flight and video!
Nice that we got a few days of flying weather in WA this month....
Brought back memories of Port Angeles, at least that looked like the pier and the spit off to the right. Flew out of the Coast Guard spit there for about 5 years. At the time the nicest place I had ever lived.
13:20 Beautiful shot
cool video - camera views and edit is awesome
That's a fine airplane!
Your wheel landings are much better than my wheel landings.
Thanks for letting me ride along N9263V
MMmm those nice low energy wheelies
Nice wheel landing, especially when the controller was talking to you while the tail was still airborne!
Handy to have the PTT on the stick for such things!
@@amywhite375 - definitely a skill in my book. Nicely done!
I noticed that, too. Nicely done.
Lil’ Amy has become quite a pilot ☺️
Great looking plane. If it flies half as well as it sounds and looks it was well worth it.
Great video Amy. New to your channel. I've seen your N number on Flight Radar before but never knew it from RUclips. Interestingly enough your video was in my recommended. Was cool to see the pull up to Modern. Our Shop is right next door. Also funny to hear you comment on life flight. They are competition to us.
So cool!! No way borrowing JDs jet would be as cool!!
Nice! 1200fpm on an 0-320, YEAH! Also, that was a perfectly acceptable return landing; a nice solid "clunk" is much easier to be consistent with than a greaser... and I notice how you stick it on once it hits, and then fly the tail down. Nicely done. (Also - love the landing light! WOW!)
Thank you! All the lights are Whelen. :)
It's about time :D I feel your weather pain... KFMN has had some unusually blustery/snowy wx lately. It seems to be nicer during the week and then craps out by the weekend. I like the use of a 360 camera, especially on a tailwheel aircraft.
G, day Amy and "Woodstock" from Sydney, Australia.
I was happy to find your latest channel video on RUclips.
* that was quite a nice scenic flight over the water with view of the city.
* especially like the dusk/night landing, with the different lighting.
* do you think ATC are wanting the Ident (experimental Romeo X-ray) or could you say (this is WOODSTOCK)?
*really excited about taking another one flying, absolutely fabulous.
💔🏃♂️
Really like your camera placements. Nice video.
Thank you!
For those who have the X-Plane simulator, there is a Sportsman 2+2 plane available which has Woodstock's exact livery. Beautiful plane. Just wish my landings were as nice as Amy's. :)
No dirty talk lol 😆
Great looking plane 👍
I'm going to do a gloss black or hunter green .
Nah gloss black.....beautiful plane .
I've made that flight before. Great job.
Good forward visibility during taxi.
