This is such a beautiful reaction!
Here’s some more information about the song:
*“Whispers in the Dark"* is a song by the Christian rock band Skillet, and the second single off their sixth album Comatose. The song has achieved a large amount of popularity in both mainstream and Christian radio. It is the fourth single by Skillet to be released to physical media.
*“Whispers in the Dark”* is one of Skillet’s most iconic songs. It is the fourth single from their sixth studio album, Comatose, and has received critical acclaim from both fans and critics. The song is about searching for God in times of trouble and feeling lost and alone.
John Cooper, the lead singer, explained in an interview with Jesus Freak Hideout that “Whispers in the Dark” was inspired by his personal struggles with faith and the difficulties of navigating life. He stated that the song is a reminder that we are not alone in our struggles and that God is always present, even in our darkest days.
The message behind “Whispers in the Dark” is one of hope, faith, and renewal. The song is a reminder that everyone struggles with their faith, and no one is perfect. However, despite the trials and tribulations of life, there is always a guiding light that leads us through the darkness.
The message of the song is particularly relevant in today’s world, where people are facing unprecedented challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic, political unrest, and economic uncertainty. In times of crisis, it is easy to feel isolated and alone. However, Skillet’s “Whispers in the Dark” reminds us that we are not alone and that help is always available.
Since you two don’t know anything about Skillet, here’s some information about the band:
*Skillet* is an American Christian rock band formed in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1996. The band currently consists of husband and wife duo John Cooper (lead vocals, bass) and Korey Cooper (rhythm guitar, keyboards, backing vocals) along with Jen Ledger (drums, vocals) and Seth Morrison (lead guitar). The band has released eleven albums, two of which, Collide and Comatose, received Grammy nominations. Two of their albums, Comatose and Awake, are certified Platinum and Double Platinum respectively by the RIAA, while Rise and Unleashed are certified Gold as of June 29, 2020. Four of their songs, "Monster", "Hero", "Awake and Alive", and "Feel Invincible", are certified Multi-Platinum (5× Platinum, 3× Platinum, and 2× Platinum respectively), while another two, "Whispers in the Dark" and "Comatose", are certified Platinum, and another four, "Rebirthing", "Not Gonna Die", "The Last Night", and "The Resistance" are certified Gold.

Did you just fabricate a bunch of lyrics out of nowhere? A lot of those aren't lyrics for this song.

@@Bloodtoxx I actually looked it up on Wikipedia to see if it had the meaning behind the song. I guess that was their fault, not mine.

@@x2zchat You’re welcome, and as always, I'm happy to help.
I was just reviewing my comment, and I noticed that I said those song suggestions were from *TDG* when they were actually more *Skillet* suggestions. I’m so sorry for the mishap, and I hope both of you weren’t confused.
Thank you so much. I’m glad to be of service to you both.

Skillet is definitely a Christian band, but they've had a decent amount of mainstream success and tour with both mainstream and Christian acts. Good catch with the consuming fire reference. Their live shows are where they really stand out, though. Anyway, it looked like the suggested video on the one that you reacted to was for the song "Not Gonna Die (with Epic Intro)" - it would be fantastic to put that particular one on the wheel. Most reactors do the main music video, which is awesome, but the intro, which is the end of the previous track on the album, just really amps things up.

Skillet has also seen a lot of success by linking their music with WWE wrestling, both in walk out music and in theme songs for events.

So i just found you guys. I rememeber listening to this when it came out. I believe its supposed to be like a message from God, them being a Christian. Definitely not a lover, but they made a lot of their music to be interpreted in how you see fit in their earlier music

When you relise what happens in life is not about money and power but desires and worship, either you live in a cause and effect world and this comment was predetermined and no-one has any free will, or their is a creator and gave you free will and in love reviled Himself . All the Christian thing is turning to God in acknowledgement and in trust.
You have to essential deny yourself in both situations anyway. In one option you pass everything over to a creator in the other you bare everything on your own shoulders or try and distory other people.

I definitely felt like their first 2-3 albums were switching back and forth between the perspective of us to god, and god to us. I believe it is the album this is on where most of the songs are from gods perspective talking to us.
