As 'pivotal' as this moment is I still don't understand how killing people stops Mal'Ganis from turning them into the undead. Apparently they have to be alive and die specifically by the plague not to turn into zombies, but already dead people are raised all the time in Warcraft. It's even said in the game, 'the undead ranks are bolstered every time one of our warriors falls in battle'.
It's shown in the interlude immediately after this the people of Stratholme burning their dead it stands to reason that Arthas commanded this to happen. The undead can't raise ashes after all.

It's a good thing Aldaris wasn't there. He would command his fleet to glass the planet

Zeratul: *makes sure Kerrigan gets turned back into a human in WoL and reinfested in HotS so she can achieve her destiny *
Also Zeratul: *denies Arthas' destiny of becoming one with the Lich King *
First case ensures the victory against Amon, the latter would allow the undead to rampage
Okay, this must become a new series. I wanna see Arthas on Aiur or smth lol
i wanna see a zealot/paladin arthas
Lord Garithos vs Alarak should be... amusing
He died in the travel but his mind was put on a new body, unfortunately without memory.. he could only retain his will to protect his people and was renamed
His name was Arthanis
We must travel to where the undead cannot follow us
If the zerg followed to shakurus then the undead will too
Executor, this is amazing! I'm willing to see what will happen next, will Zeratul be able to save Arthas from his fate?...
"We shall see"
Executor, Mal’Ganis has been weakened, but I fear we have sustained severe damage ourselves. I will steer the Gantrithor into a collision course with Mal’Ganis. If I can channel enough energy of the Dark Templar through the hull of the Gantrithor, I should be able to bring swift death to the accursed abomination. Remember us, Executor. Remember what has happened today. May Adun watch over you.
So this is how Arthas becomes Arthanis
Zeratul: Arthas, we're going to Shakuras. The undead won't follow us there
I feel bad for the Dark Templar whose psi-blade doesn't go 'whoosh' when they attack. Did they forget to recharge the batteries before they went to Azeroth? D:
*[Somewhere In Lordaeron]*
Uther: **sniff sniff**. I smell a purge that just happened in Stratholme..."
Arthas: This city must be purg-
Zeratul: ok
Amusing Executor, this keeps gettin' better and better.
Man hes from outer space, having horns and gargoyle wings isnt enough to a high tech weapon.
I like how it makes a lot of sense that Zeratul knowing very well how devastating zerg infestations can be immediately accepts the idea of purging Stratholm full of zombies
“Very well Arfffssss”
I lowkey would love an entire custom campaign of WC3 being altered by the intervention of Starcraft characters.
At the same time, Tassadar from the warcraft universe is dealing with the Lich King
I’m pretty sure Mal’Ganis shares a VA with Tassadar, too, which adds an extra layer to all this.
Next up would be Tassadar steering the Gantrithor into a collision course with the Lich King
With Archimonde, surely. The protections of the Overmind/Cerebrates and the Divine Armour of high-powered Demons seem similar enough to me.
Zeratul : " i do this for aiur"
Everyone: " who?"
I unironically want this to be cannon.
when fan works surpasses that of a current million billion bazillionaire game company
Well done executor. May adun guide us to our path. En Taro Nral!
And so Zeratul and Arthas traveled to the place where no undead could find them: the homeworld of the dark templar Shakuras
*Slash an unwashed peasant and his whole family
"I do it for Aiur!"
“Very well, Ärrfus, I will look into this matter myself”
Amusing! Executor your sense of editing has grown far than we imagined, your actions has restored my faith in the alliance 😂😂😂
Zerabro to the rescue! Thank you for ensuring the good ending for best Character Arthas
I didn't expect my model (Zeratul) to be present in a campaign. Thank you! Love the video!
Oh it was yours? Amazing model, man. Also this wasn't a campaign, but a standalone map. But I used your model in other cinematics as well.
"Its just warcraft in space"
Back when Arthas was still Human
I watched this with a huge smile on my face, good job!
Now I want to see Maiev hunting down the Queen of Blades and Garithos ruling the Dominion
"Humanity will rule this sector or I will see it burn to ashes around me!"
Garithos being emperor of the Dominion wouldn't probably bad for humans
And that is how a human with plate armor and a big hammer gets slaughtered by the first hydralisk he sees.
You're...not wrong. The Hydralisk in War3 has 80-120 Pierce Damage and it fires about as fast and far as a rifleman. Not a slaughter one on one, but painful even with self-healing. Footmen are at least something of a hard counter. Good thing there's only one....unless....
Young prince, prepare the peasants for a dimensional recall.
Zeratull: Salga de aquí mi King, usted no se corrompera hoy
Zeratul, the only person that Arthas listens to.
"Damn! Listen, if we wait for Alliance reinforcements, that city's dust. I'll head out there now, do what I can. You send in some militia, and we'll save those folks. Trust me."
Zeratul gets to meet with Tassadar's voice actor again.. but *_EVIL_*
Arthas: "Listen, there's something about the plaque you should know"
Wait, I thought Zeratul was the one telling the locals about their world, not them telling him
Times change
Well, they both have had a chance to find out new stuff about the undead, so the best they can do is exchange intel about the enemy.
So Lordearon was entirely warped in on Shakuras and the both the Lich king and the Legion were utterly confused.
Will Zeratul meet Horde and night elves in the future?
It would be great to see a spin off game from Blizzard about Zeratul and Tassadar adventures before they met.
well, you're creating content as good as blizzard itself, the one from the past, since the one from the present wouldn't be hard to beat
The reason why you only have to kill MalGanis in this mission to succeed is because Dark Templar's Warp Blades will prevent his resurrection upon his defeat. Just kidding, it's how the mission is set up
"Zeratul kills my gains" - athlean x
remember, he does this for aiur
Arthas: "So father, here is my friend will bring all the proof of the horror in the Stratholme and the grains plagued with Undead. "
Uther: "Wait, why didn't Jaina tell all of this to me? "
This mission. If Arthas called in a mothership and planetcracker'd the whole thing, it would be so funny.
I'm here waiting until Nral just makes the whole campaign.
So if Zeratul already killed Mal'Ganis, wouldn't Arthas not need to have the urge to pursue Frostmourne?
Zeratul continues to be my favorite SC character... *sniff* 🥲
And as Zeratul and Arthas retired to Shakuras, Jaina and Tyrael started to prepare for the Return of Amon
LMAO Mal'Ganis had no idea Zeratul was standing in front of him
He forgot to produce shade to see zeratul
OMG !!! awesome! Yes. This better be Canon. Zeratul leads Arthas, Jaina and Uther to Kalimdor and there they'll join the Orc Forces and there Lordaeron will be new build among Orgrimmar. Imagine Orcs and Humans becoming friends thanks to Jaina's Diplomatic Skills in Warcraft III !!!
Arthas: Daim it Utter as you future king I ordered you to purge this city
Arthas: I'm gonna kill you
Mal'ganis: Not today
Zeratul: You are in no position to negotiate.
Amusing 😎
This certainly has the makings of a fix-type fanfic.
