    that rough patch on the hood. I would have sanded down with a 4k wet sand, spray light with a fresh layer of clear coat, sand again to smooth out, then cut n polish. if you still have the car, I would like to see how that turns out.

    • @Sir-Reborn
      @Sir-Reborn 3 года назад +2

      4k isn't gonna do anything to that.
      I would've hit it with 600, THEN touch it up with paint and clear coat.
      Then after a few days, I would compound and polish it to match

    Do you think a cordless drill with those plate and foam adapter kits are strong enough to burn the paint, or do you think I shouldn’t worry as much because the cordless drill prob doesn’t have the same power as a rotary?

    • @Marksreviewsandtutorials

      It is really quite safe. As long as your paint is in good condition. Cordless will have to be a good one to have enough power

      Deep scratches very well might be visible after washing.
      Polishing is a lot like sanding the clearcoat. If the scratch is not very deep, you can "sand" it smooth. Deeper scratches require more polishing, just be careful about polishing away too much of the clearcoat
