It's videos like this that make me want to get rid of fanatec for any other DD wheel base being most others don't lock you out of the FFB with wheels from different companies. Yeah it's possible but only after hundreds of extra dollars for their hub and quick release. Come on fanatec. Hope their new ceo is a little more open minded in the future
It's cool that this is possible like this but they should have just made the wheel itself USB compatible instead of forcing you buy use this hub to get it to work.
I have this hub and I paired it with the Moza KS wheel and it won't function unless you use both cables so it takes up 2 USB ports. Mildly frustrating. KS wheel doesn't even have a screen!
How did you get your buttons light up in different colors all of mine are white also did you have issues installing new firmware updates for the wheel? Mine did not work at all even tho there is an update.
For the buttons colors - press and hold the 2 Thumb Wheels, the REV light will flash and then you can cycle through the colors. Press and hold the 2 Thumb Wheels again to exit.
Needing that $200 Fanatec podium hub just to have FFB working on their wheelbases with custom wheels is a literal robbery
Sums up fanatec though. Moving away from their ecosystem was the right decision!
You can get the 40$ plug they have out now by 3rd party sellers

G27 is going to struggle with the weight of the wheel.

If the firmware update fails, there is a download for a Offline Firmware Update Tool.
