      I mean, Manufacturers are 100% doing these teardowns too, its just more of a case of Trademark/IP infraction. You see alot of similar solutions to the common problems in Sim hardware currently availible tbh

      @@Sphereaus no… I mean the careful interest in the product’s design and build quality that’s displayed here. It’s gotta be nice to see people caring enough to analyze it all and appreciate it not just for what it does, but for the thought that went into its creation.

    Here's me posting on a really old video, but for situations where you're mating up two parts, both with the same threads, and you want actual clamping force, you need a BOLT with the threads ground off close to the head. Instead of forever altering the part, you can just grind down 1/4" of the bolt's threads (or just a hair over the thickness of the part) or just run down to the hardware store to get a bolt that works for that. Bolts are cheap, these parts are not.

    This is a nice solution for using Moza wheels and hardware with other bases. However, I can't help but feel a more consumer friendly approach would be implementing USB capability into all of thier wheels to prevent the need for buying an additional hub. Making the base side qr and a hub like this available to use their rims outside of the ecosystem is still much more than Fanatec would ever offer thier customers so I do appreciate the freedom. As a modder and diyer Inalways appreciate freedom over being locked into an ecosystem.

      Well said, I totally agree. I just purchased the podium endurance module and now have to buy the qr, shifter paddles and a wheel just so I can use it on their system it's very frustrating and just think If I want to use a different vendors wheel setup (usb) I basically have to do it all over again. I originally was going to purchase Moza befroe Fanatec but the dd pro base went on sale that day and I got it instead and had buyers remorse right after I hit enter on the keyboard.

    The windows controller dinput display is outdated and doesn't support button IDs above 32, modern dinput controllers can go up to 128 buttons. Web based and third party controller testers work a lot better.

    Just got the Logitech Pro wheel and I must say wow! I played Dirt Rally 2.0 with trueforce and what a difference! You have to do a review on the wheel base and pedals! Also if you can do a video on Logitech G 923 and compare how the Logitech Trueforce works on that wheel would be a really good overview on both!

    All RJ11 being 4 wires, wondering if this hub hides the fact that the accessories are actually standalone USB if you rewire them - bypassing the hub.

    Has anyone tried writing a usb directly to the wheel RJ port to see if it works?

  • @wangte27
    @wangte27 Год назад +1

    This is needed only because they didn't make their devices able to connect directly to PC or USB to PC. SIMAGIC has this function built in to their products so it's one less thing to buy or have.
    Also not making it 70 mm standard makes it yet more annoying if wanting to use other wheels
    Good point on the amount of power required to run all the devices if plugged into that hub. Gonna see a lot of disgruntled owners who discover that only after they get it and not have enough power to run. Does it come with an additional power adapter? Did I miss seeing this in your video?

    • @swfpv
      @swfpv Год назад

      i think it's also a console Hub For PS5 or xbox... And for the power, you don't connect a motor to it, in this case no need for power

    • @wangte27
      @wangte27 Год назад

      There's not enough power from PC to juice up everything without issues if you plug it all into this hub.

    The wheel side QR probably has 70mm and 50mm to the square plate mounted to the wheel. If this is true, no need for moza adapter wheelbase QR. Just use NRG QR both wheel and base.
