Kilbey is the best songwriter in the world. Everything else bores me to tears.
Greatest Group 2024.
Avec les WHO
this band is my desert island music ♥♥♥
Seriously, unbelievable. I can't understand why this band didn't hit it bigger. Absolute beauty. One of my all time favorites, again failing to disappoint.
True Beauty is unknown to the masses.
I guarantee if this song were played on every prog rock station in the States, overnight the album would go Platinum if not bigger.
Incredible video
Incredible song
Incredible band
Carol Lewis is amazing in this video ⚘
Peter Koppes's piano playing on this is incredible, as is the whole song/performance/recording......One of the best videos ever too.......
Just saw these guys in Sellarsville, PA. "Do ya self a favour, and get out and see them!"
Saw them in 88 in Germany and again 2019 in St. Pete, FL for the Starfish 30 year tour. Such an incredible live band!
A lifetime of musical bliss from The Church.
I can't get enough of this new album. Thank you!
This is freaking awesome!
The Church never left man!
Steve Kilbey proving his singing & songwriting are still up to par. Excellent track.
Enigmatic and the icon renders their own sonic history.
The Church is BACK in full splendour!!!!!!!!!!
I will love Kilbey forever for all the beautiful songs he has given us for decades.
this might be the best song ever written and not just by them. absolutely moving.
This church has very pleasantly grabbed My attention & I AM not going to let it let go forever MORR...
My dad listens to this all the time. It is very beautiful!
Your dad is cool. So do I. So deep and interesting.
Cool dad alert!
You got a cool dad.
no fucking words can describe The Church
Incredible, magical, celestial, sublime, like all the music of The Church. Wonderful song and video. Congratulations boys
Gorgeous music, lush and shimmering like the best music from The Church...
Shoegazey but with more distinct layers. "Church Floyd" ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Shoegazy, to some degree, but fortunately, as always with The Church, there's a real song involved.
gorgeous in every way
You guys never looked or sounded better. You create masterpieces.
beautiful and haunting -- a new triumph
Gorgeous video. Glorious music. Reminds me of the more accessible hit "...Milky Way".
Rarefied atmospheres captured by a prophetic bass, the voice pierces reality and makes it invisible to the eyes but audible to the skin.
Dark and mysterious, yet elegant and majestic. Another beautiful song by The Church.
awesome!!! love you guys, truly timeless melodramatic masterpiece.PEACE TO ALL!!!!!
These guys are cool. Ian's cool. Big album. Amazing work. Go see them.
A new masterpiece!!!The Church rules!!!
Top drawer!!!! Been a huge fan since I first saw the video to 'The Unguarded Moment' on the OGWT over 30 years ago. I can't think of any other band that have continually made great music. Once the band touches you no other band comes close. Fantastic!!!!!
Have been looking for new music and always loved "Under the Milky Way" and went searching other songs from these guys, didnt know they were still around putting out such great music, love this song and Steve's voice.
Gorgeous...Cool video as well...and yes, I absolutely miss Marty's guitar (he is irreplaceable), but this is beautiful. Another fine new chapter for the Church. .
Love these guys so much. They just get better and better as the years go by and always surprising us with something even more magical than the last.
Oh my God...I have such a tenuous relationship with this band, that is ruled by fear. Fear that with time and so much creative output they will loose the creative power that is unequaled. Shame, I know, but I keep thinking, how is is possible for a group of artist to sustain such wonder?
P.S. Please tour the states.
Loved this band in the 80s, was a big fan, then found their more recent clip here, interesting.... Some days it feels like it's all teetering on the edge of a fall, may as well stand proud in the mean time I spose...
Clint you've done it again! Beautiful. Perfect for this incredible song.
Beautiful, timeless work. Very refreshing!
Mysterious and beautiful!
Guys...absolutely stunning.. I love it.
See You Saturday Night, in YVR on the First Stop of The FURTHER / DEEPER 2015 Tour! The New Music Sounds Fantastic!
Excellent band. Followed them since the start. Nice tune from a good album..
Freakin' Great Album of Albums!
Steve kilbey and band great musician....i love it this music..
I really love this song, Awesome!!
Marvelous song, I have always loved this band, good to know that they are still active. I have added to my favorites on Spotify.
A great song by any measure - at least from this a fellow songwriter perspective. My favorite of their's since "Feel" back in 1992. Steven is in his sixties now - and he comes up with this? Inspiring.
guys, you made an incredibly moving album. thank you!
my likey.
Sublime. So glad to hear some new material. Was just listening to Untitled #23 today thinking "when is that new album going to come out?" And here it is...
Very nice!
This has to rank as one of the many all time great Church songs. So deep and interesting. Indescribable but fantastic. Deep and dark but appealing. Love it to death. Thank you. Amazing song.
Espetacular!
Que linda obra de arte, não há palavras que conseguiriam descrever o talento desses caras!
like these songs
+Rachel Salisbury I did !
Gorgeous.
I'm getting some twisted signs here. Lost innocence. Hits too close to home for me. I know your speaking to me Lord. I love you. Thank you Jesus!
Great video, can't wait for the new album.
I remember doing this back when I was innocent and young... good times yo
lovely
So true !
Musica linda
So fucking fantastic, gentlemen.
I totally agree. I would have loved to hear the albums after Priest = Aura but they are impossible to come by
Ian Haug is a welcone addition to the Church. Bring back Ploogy
What does it mean to "think twice before sharing" this video? Just wanting to spread the love man.
Stefan, try Discogs. They have everything from the Church. :)
echo that - introduced in the very same way
Lost in a surreal slipstream.
My stomach turns when I think of The Church without MWP. I believe us fans out here have SOMETHING to say about this. Nothing in no way against Ian but I could tell immediately that MWP isn't playing on this album. I could tell on "Untitled #23 also that Marty was missing a lot. Can I pray for his return, hell ya. Love to the Church. You saved my life especially in the 80's when music sucked so bad it hurt.
+Dean Prescott Dean, I know what you mean. MWP was an integral part of this beyond great band! Each band member's unique greatness added up to make The Church the sum of it's parts. BUT Ian is phenomenal as well, and a 'perfect fit', in my opinion. There were valid reasons for Marty leaving, and as a fan, I have to respect that.
You'll survive.
Your dad knows his music
MWP is great, no doubt. BUT he CHOSE to not participate on this one, and that's OK. Ian Haug is amazing!
I was 44 when this came out...
😉😂

So with all empires.

After the eighties, I lost interest in The Church for two decades because of their less song structured and less melodic material. With the 2010 album "Untitled#23" however, they finally returned to their classic eighties style, think especially of the shimmering guitar pop albums "Heyday", "Starfish" and "Gold afternoon fix". "Further deeper" is the newest album and I'm very happy that The Church continue their classic style, it's great and this "Pride before a fall" the absolute highlight.
Do we miss Marty? I thought I would more then I seem to do with this tune..
Ar menia a inaczej humu aroke Ar meun humu
still beautiful baby
Best work since Starfish - with or without MWP - although would be better with Mr Ploog
Yeah, you totally can't order them Amazon or iTunes!
OH WAIT
Son. We gotta talk.
Know what would have made this better?... Mr Piper.
Very EMO
Back but not with the original line-up. Guitarist Willson-Piper and the drummer Richard Ploog weren't involved, which is a shame for their fans.
1 thumbs down !
I enjoyed the zootrope and appreciated their reverence to cinematography though.
...but where is the grandeur of Lost My Touch, Under The Milky Way, Maya, Telepath, Appallatia, I Kept Everything, June, Feel, Reprieve, Destination, Reptile, The Forgotten Reign, Almost With You, Disappointment, Metropolis, Buffalo, Anaesthesia, Tranquility, Block, Swan Lake, Ripple, Lustre, Reversal, See Your Lights, Pantechnicon, Afterimage, The Further Adventures Of The Time Being, After Everything, The Awful Ache, The Disillusionist, The Theatre And Its Double, Grandiose, Laurel Canyon...
C'mon, you can do better !!
2:04...It goes to a darker place...Love it!
Wow...Amazing song!
