Except Arthur and Firebrand are part of the Ghosts 'n Goblins series by Capcom, not Castlevania.

i'm so glad that they finished this. it's a hack that has a stupid base concept but absolutely SLAYS in the execution.

??? - Rusty [PC-98] (Queen of the Dark Knight theme for Stage 1, another theme for Boss 6)
Konami - Castlevania Series (Boss 5, Boss 6 with Tombstones and ... Sypha?, Death, Stage 4 theme of Gears Go Awry, Werewolf, Armors, Worm [?] Shaft, Aria of Sorrow clocktower theme the 2nd MG stage), maybe Rocket Knight/Sparkster series? (Boss 3; head looks like one of the floating Pig heads found in the Space shmup levels, but I may be wrong)
Disney - Mickey Mouse (Boss 6 reference)
??? - Batman Animated Series game (Boss 6 reference, the Cat I believe)
But yeah: it's basically a giant mashup but it honestly looks well done. I kinda miss seeing these kinds of games, but then again I may just have experienced most of them through flash.

Never knew this existed - but it looks a lot of fun, and you handled those bosses quite eloquently.
I like how the first part of the Demonic Eggman fight is similar to what the bosses of Leaf Storm and Huge Crisis from Sonic Rush would look like if they were in a Genesis game

I really love the 2nd phase of Deominc Eggman just bc of the fact that it's in 3D and that it resembles the Time Eater boss from Sonic Generations, easily one of the most clever boss fights made in Romhack history

Before the witch fight, there's a missing midboss that's a port of Castlevania Bloodlines' silhouette demon (from stage 5).
Gotta love sonic x castlevania, with all the fantasical foes he's faced, this almost seems like a fitting crossover!

Especially with Death because of the scene in the Belmonts' reveal trailer for Smash Ultimate where he "kills" Luigi
It's basically a storybook game and a classic game two in one

The bosses in this hack are extremely fun, the final boss is also just really impressive!
While definitely dark for a mainline sonic game, it works really well gameplay wise. It really is "If Sonic was in Castlevania"
If they just made the stuff a bit more cartoony and the bosses didn't explode into gore, it feels like it would be a good halloween special edition game

That was unbelievable. Stellar playing. Cracking soundtrack. And that Shaft fight was amazing. "Oh the Sonic boss didn't work, quick get the Castlevania boss out!" Amazing.
And I like the gameplay for some parts before a boss fight begins!
Any idea where Death's and Eggman's boss theme come from?
EDIT: Found Eggman's theme. It's an original composition by Gerry Trevino. It's called "Through Hell and Fire".
EDIT2: Death's theme is also from him. Track is called "Imhotep".

I must say, I could totally see Eggman doing this. He's gone to the lengths of summoning all these gods to defeat Sonic. Chaos, Dark Gaia, the dragon at the end of Superstars, the Time Eater, and many more. I could totally see him going to this length, especially seeing as he seems a bit more in his mindset from Unleashed, where he was going to try and kill Sonic.
Okay, I just looked at the final boss, Eggman didn't mention wanting to kill Sonic, so I really should've checked that. Plus, I don't think Eggman would summon Satan, but probably a deity like Satan, I dunno.
Oh god, this is incredible game with dark atmosphere about Sonic, usualy everyone making those with Mario like Super Mario Fusion Revival
I vaguely remember hearing about this, but forgot about it, and I am so glad the Algorithm reminded me!
This is unapologetically amazing, and reminds me of daydreaming about famous video game characters all battling it out!
Quick warning for any photosensitive people, some of the bosses present (namely the animations during the death fight) have flashing lights, so be careful when viewing.
The music is incredibly good.

This is really amazing so much improvement the sprite upgrade more bosses and the backgrounds the music upgrade the changes and the style! everything about this is really great I'm so glad they finished the game! i know this video was like 6 months ago but I didn't know this game was fully finished Just impressive 10/10

Honestly? After watching this I wished many other game franchises could make a comeback even if its by the community with fan made games. This was metal af but man I wished Ape Escape or Ganbare Goemon would come back.

Sonic Hellfire is the Creppypasta Sonic.exe more realistic that could happen because takes the high value about the Satanism as a way to pay tribute to have a great power to be more evil like Satan. I like it.

I must say, I'm only watching this because I kept taking so much damage from the Astaroth fight I couldn't ever survive the battle with Metal Sonic. But I am also seeing some differences in the appearances of Evil Arthur and Astaroth. For one, when I played it, Arthur had a pair of horns and a devil's tail on him. And another thing, the face on Astaroth's chest was much more clearly visible. Also, now that I've seen him, Gloam has actually had some of those tricks, such as turning into who I presume to be Guinevere, Arthur's supposed love interest.

If you had replaced the OST with tracks from Deathsmiles, no one would’ve blinked. Not to mention, that game’s soundtrack would fit perfectly with a horror themed Sonic fan game.

Death is one of all best bosses in this game, it's my favorite.
Looks like savestates/frame-by-frame was used from how strange, humanly inconsistent, and sometimes particular and exact sonic's movement is. Which I don't mind. Just strange that it's not mentioned.

Shadow would have taken this assignment but he thought it was too incomprehensibly edgy. That and both his gun and roller blades broke at the same time.
I continue to be both impressed and flabbergasted by the likes of Hellfire Saga, which CLEARLY has so much effort put into it, and yet the boss design that this hack hangs it's hat on all comes fromt he school of design that many lambasted Sonic 4 Episode 2 for; bosses that stay invulnerable for protracted amounts of time while you are forced to dodge their crap for extended periods of time until a brief vulnerability period opens up. (I feel like if anything, Freedom Planet/Freedom Planet 2 really solves my misgivings with Sonic boss design and it's hard to find the right balance when your gameplay consists of jumping into foes.)

I'm really impressed how they used Sonic 3K source code to make this hack. It's difficult to manage I think. Sonic 1/2 codes are more malleable
