I've seen this episode countless times, laughed at it every time I watched it, and I never noticed until now that he's mad at Kramer for stealing his move and not groping his wife. That's what makes Seinfeld timeless.

I just find it fascinating how much George takes an interest into whether Kramer got his plates.
0:53-0:56 is the reason this show is genius. The small detail of him driving the car exactly the same way as he walks/talks kills me.

The moment when Kramer's head shakes when he see the boat that says ASSMAN. Priceless. Classic comedy... Not a word was said, but his physical comedy told the story.
I always thought that I was the only one who appreciated that part. Hysterical. Kramer is like a living Muppet with the way he moves and reacts.

I absolutely roll on the floor every time I see this scene---I agree---the "stopped short" rant by Frank Costanza is one of his most hilarious moments!!
It works too. I did it twice in one sitting with my girlfriend and I did it with a straight face and she loved it and laughed each time.
Yesterday, I saw the clip where he finds the Korean woman he once loved, but lost because he wouldn't take off his shoes. But he does his move on her where he stops short and she becomes offended and wants to go home.
RIP to Jerry Stiller who passed away today at the age of 82. He was in so many great episodes of Seinfeld. Too many to name but this was my favorite. Frank Costanza was an unforgettable character because of Jerry Stiller.

I'm not sure why some of these actors never got other roles. Everyone from the DMV employee, the security guard, the Dr, even to the soup Nazi and his cashier. They nailed really small roles.
I just listened to this with my dad before he went into surgery and this made him laugh even with all the nerves.

Yeah. Typically a doctor doesn't drive such a beater and he didn't recognize the car. Kramer fast talked his way out of it, the kind of thing he does 5-6 times a day...lol.

Richard "Dick" Assman (born ca. 1934 in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada) is a Saskatchewan gas station owner whose name propelled him to celebrity status across North America for four months in 1995. Assman, who co-owned a Petro-Canada outlet at Victoria Square Mall in Regina, was discovered by David Letterman, who was amused by his name. Assman was introduced on July 24, 1995, on the Late Show with David Letterman, where he was a nightly feature for about a month. During this time, he was known as "Assman the Gasman".[1]
Live field units in Canada interviewed him for the show. Over the weeks, Joe Namath declared himself an "Ass-maniac", while Assman received a musical tribute from Tony Orlando[2] on Letterman:
