When I had the realization, I went and searched for cool plus size shop, hoping to give her the opportunity to buy some nice clothes too.
My top half isn’t considered plus sized (I wear small and medium sized shirts) but in quite a few stores my bottom half is, which absolutely sucks! I was a dancer for most of my life until my disability stopped me, but I have kept all the muscle in my thighs, and my butt is still big as well. Like I can always find super cute shirts that fit but finding pants is a STRUGGLE! I always wish that my bottom half and top half would just be relatively the same size… It would make my life so much easier.
Ong Im too embarrassed to go short/pant shopping in public bc Ik they won’t fit me correctly. It’s so hard to find stuff, I usually just buy the first ones that fit me correctly rather than stuff that looks good which I would get much more use out of.
OMG same as a dancer my upper body is so much smaller then my lower body my upper body I can fit in to a large or medium with lower I always have to size up so much and Its so annoying
Try Salsa Jeans!! I love that brand, all my bottoms are from there
@@ainhi_ez1928 Do they have goth looking jeans? I’m goth so I don’t usually like “normal” jeans 😭
@@gothcsm I am not very sure, there are some with some studs and similar but not very very goth... :(
I think the most jeans of the brand are more simple, they focus more on the shape and the effect (push up, push in...), so they don't focus so much on the styles since there are no marked style pants, just basic ones.
Her delivery is so on point!!!
As an obese person, I've always struggled with finding clothes that fit properly because of my weight and height, I've always been short, I only just hit 5'1 on the dot and my doctor said i was done growing, so I've always needed to find bigger clothes that weren't super long
And what i found was that in regular stores, i could mostly only find clothes that were too small, but then in the stores specifically for plus sized people, i couldn't find any clothes that were small enough whether it be size or length
Being short and fat is a struggle I swear
Most of my clothes are hand me downs that are too big and that I've had since the beginning of middle school
I guess the upside of only being able to find clothes that are too big is that I'm never out growing them lol
I really like Torrid, it has a variety of styles...and tends to have things for women of various heights when it comes to pants, as I recall?
@@christabelle__ I think I got a skirt from torrid once, it's currently my only skirt and I love it so much but when I got it, it was the smallest size they had and it was still big on me
I did a little sewing on it to make it fit me better though
Like I said, I can never find things that first me correctly, I have two shirts that aren't too big/small on me and that's cuz I've had them since like 4th-5th grade and just grew into them
Also I no longer have any jeans, I had 5-7 pairs through the end of elementary school and all of middle, most of them were big in the leg and waist areas but then would strangle my thighs, I recently tried them all on and had to give them away because I couldn't get any over my thighs
Jeans are something I will never be able to wear
I'm not exactly fat but I am chubby and I'm only 4'11" with wide hips and thighs... Finding clothes is IMPOSSIBLE even in the petite section. I swear they only made that section for the skinny girls
@@louisvines563I don’t know where you are but American Eagle has some really great jeans that go up to size 20. (US sizing) and normally have different lengths.
Also don’t be afraid to bring the clothes that don’t fit to a tailor. It’s worth it to get clothes that fit you well, it does so much for how you see your self and your confidence. Just find something that fits the biggest part of you and bring it to a tailor to and they will make it fit you correctly.
I hope you have luck finding what you are looking for.
At age of 18 for me I stay at 5'2" and I'm a bit overweight but i tell ya stores clothes are not so nice when you can't find the size you want or need..
To the people mocking her, it's really not helping. And it's rude too. If you really want to give advice, then do so respectfully. Commenting things like 'salad dodger' or 'you're not normal haha' won't help anything. You want her to eat less? Recommend a good and healthy diet. Making fun of somebody to get them to change isn't the right way to do things.
Finally someone with sense!
Yeah… part of the reason im losing weight is so that i can shop wherever i want. Going shopping post covid weight gain and realizing most stores dont carry a 2xl was humbling lol
Good for you!
I dont think people understand that plus size people are usually rrying to lose weight/be healthier 💀, but like it doesnt happen overnight and they still need clothes and they can be humans while theyre big-
Clothes cost money to make bigger size more fabric it not a good business deal to cater the those in all stores
@@renellethomas7759 I'd rather fat people be clothed than run around naked, but idk maybe you're into that 💀
@@renellethomas7759uhm I disagree do you know what percentage of America is overweight/obese?
@@renellethomas7759that literally makes no sense. if you were to go to a store right now and look at pants or something, from extra small to extra large, they’re the same price despite the difference in fabric.
also if anything, catering to another demographic would bring in MORE profit, not the opposite.
@@eggyonline5308 just to further your point, why isn’t baby clothing dirt cheap then? Less fabric right?
It's a struggle finding clothes that fit just right, but looking good is important too!
Your confidence is contagious.
I love joining my friends for Torrid runs. Saves me money and keeps me focused on making them look pretty.
As hilarious as this is, they are actually both freaking gorgeous ❤
i feel this with shoes! i have a women’s 13 and most stores don’t carry my size or even cute shoes :(
The headband really looks good on her
Honestly the belt as a headband looks FIRE 🔥
“Oh, these cute things come in plus size” ends up being a cold shoulder and/or empire waisted version of the actually pretty dress.
idk if other ppl feel the same but i feel like we shouldn’t have plus size stores or sections, stores should just carry all sizes in all items
It’s even harder when you’re at the smallest end of plus size and largest end of regular sizes so you always have to consult a size chart or try all the clothes on😭💀
Size 12-16 girls know that struggle
It sounded so good when she asked about the hoops, it sounded perfect!!!
Ugh! The struggle is real!! But these videos help us find the humor in the struggle. Thank you ❤
Thank you to my local retailer for having XS-4X 😭😭😭
I’m not plus size but they have some really cute stores in my mall that are plus sized only and I remember really wanting a dress they featured in the window and I told myself I could sew it to fit me lol😂 it was really cute
If they are at the mall chances are the website has your size.
Same! I know it's not everyone's favorite, but sometimes the plus-sized options are more modest and I wish I had them in my smaller size lol. We need more clothing that has a consistent style across sizes!
@@justemmalyn7934 I completely agree. Most stores that market towards smaller sizes almost always sell everything cropped or the bottoms are typically short and way too revealing imo we definitely need to make some noise in the fashion department because not all of us want to give a peep show to strangers 😂
@@justemmalyn7934 they might be more modest but they horribly designed. Random extra fabric. Most are see through. Items that should at least have one solid print usually just have summer flower prints. The arms are too small and have elastic at the ends that will cut off circulation. Most shirts are too short even though on the small models they look long. It takes a lot of patience to shop plus sized.
i don’t understand why most stores provide all sizes. this is a perfect example of why they should.
The "why don't you check out the purses" at the end was diabolical 😂😂😂😂 what a legend 🙌🙌😅😅
No but that belt/headband did look really cute on her
The „why don’t you check out the purses“ was personal 😂
I love this😂 It’s funny, shows plus size struggles, but also isn’t a huge prick to smaller people. They both seem like they’er having genuine fun making it
"i cant breathe in this store " got me dead😂
Edit:tysm for the likes♥️♥️
She’s so positive and pretty I love them both ❤
Shopping as a plus sized person who doesn’t like a lot of textures is SO HARD 😭😭😭
I was in torrid for the first time... I wore 00(in plus size)... and that was the best thing that ever happened to my self esteem
Yes! Tried on a size 0 dress at Torrid and my mom said “I think you should get a size 00, this one’s too big” and I thought my heart was going to explode I was so happy.
this is so accurate and I'm not even "plus size" I'm a large and average height, and still nothing fits. like why make clothes so difficult 😭
I can relate in the opposite way. I'm super petite, and I have a hard time finding clothing in my size that doesn't look like it's made for someone ten years younger than me or sixty years older than me. When I do, the prices are usually OUTRAGEOUS!
these videos crack me up so bad 😭😭
THE POSITIVITY 😭🫶🏻😍😍🙏🏻🙏🏻
They forgot the fact that most of the plus size clothing is like leopard print, or like some weird animal print
You guys are so pretty ❤❤
OMG- those purple purses are beautiful!?!?
The way she said as a headband
Petite. It feel the same except there are no stores for me. Kids clothes are not usually intended for workplace.
Me af. ppl say we need larger clothes in stores but I can't even find a bra small enough 2 fit me
"I can't breathe in this store" took me out lmao, so real
My issue is the lack of clothes for people with curves. Not plus sized, but just curves. I have a tiny waist and big hips, and have never been able to find pants that fit. I’ve resigned to simply wearing skirts, which is cute and all but goddamn it it’s December and I yearn for pants. It’s almost 2024, why don’t we have inclusive sizing.
Jeggings will be your best friend ong. And make sure to size down in them. MOTHER brand jeans are similar in texture to jeggings and fit very well if u want something more pant like. Only downside is they are expensive and may not cater to short girlies (I just buy their cropped pants bc they fit like normal on me).
@@isaburntcake I hope they cater to us tall girlies. 5’11 and curvy is a nightmare to shop for! Thanks for the advice!
Nude fleece lined leggings with sheer stockings on top make any skirt or dress look GREAT and keep you warm as heck! Canadian/Canadian winter approved! ;)
SO REAL
@@Julia-tk2em I recommend buying online to get extra long pants! My family members (mom, 6'0, dad 6'1, brother, 6'3) they all buy extra long pants and it is great for them!
it does make a KILLER headband
The belt is actually very cute as a headband
as a chubby person, the "thats okay i just wanted to say smaller size!" is so real 💀
The "they dont have any of my sizes" actually hurts my heart... How do you think we feel in stores that only carry smaller sizes? Stores should be for everyone 😭❤️
the forever 21 trips i took with my friends as a teen where they gleefully tried on clothes and i just watched were core memories for me
Finding XXS is literally impossible in the US, XS is hard enough as is, but 99% of stores will not carry an XXS, its the same struggle for both.
If someone is shopping for xxs they need therapy not shopping. That’s eating disorder issues, not shopping issues!
@@lijohnyoutube101 XXS is literally like 90-110 pounds. For a 5'0-5'3 girl. @@alaynahlol lol denial isn’t good.

The "just my size" with the two different connotations, love it.
This video made my day better.
Tbh, shopping as someone that's really skinny as well, because in most stores i dont even fit in a xxs and usually i order clothes from japan for good quality, and something that fits me

The plus sizes never complain but the small sizes always do right away
I have the opposite problem, i see extra large size and the small sizes in pants are extremly huge
I'm so weirdly perfectly in between that I can find very little in either place that fits well. Always gotta go hunting in the depths of every store for the largest "normal" size and the smallest "plus" size.😅
Your videos always put me in a good mood.
I feel this, I may not be heavily plus sized, I’m lucky if I find anything in my size in store, no matter the section😢
As a big chested girl with wide ribs, it is so hard to find cute tops that look flattering
Bro it’s such a struggle. And then when you try smth on and it doesn’t fit the guilt is crazy
I love that ending lmao, she looks like she’s been waiting years to say that line 😂
Thanks that you saying this. Nobody understands that problem. You goes to shopping with friends..and shop has like 2-3 clothes that can fit you.
Dang, i love your positivity
Everyone has trouble finding cute clothes that fit, if you think any woman can just walk into any store and find something that fits perfectly and is flattering you're completely wrong 😅
Not only plus sizes but petites don’t get any credit.. I can never find a pair of jeans that fit the length of my legs and that also fit my waist. Not to mention Amazon that doesn’t have barely any xSmalls and seriously people NEED to start picking up the pace with smaller and larger sizes cause we aren’t all small-large
real, its like clother r just made for tall skinny people nothing fits right

@@coffeebeanzTHIS!! Maybe I will!
From what I understand TJ Maxx doesn't control their sizing, they just get random products in??
But it is ridiculous how the main size range excludes so many common sizes. And the fact it varies from brand to brand drives me nuts
That's bc it's tj Maxx, hit a real store like target, dry goods, American eagle, jc penny
there’s a store that only sells size small it’s called Brandy Melvile
I hate shopping with my older sister because she's a size 4-6 and I was a 16-18. She would easily find clothing and I had very little to choose from in my size.
she's soooo pretty
so true. and its been getting worse to be honest, i could at least find extra large or smth in most stores but now they just sell until large and some stores just leave it at medium💀 and every time i complain about it everyone tells me that "its my problem" ?? am i not a human too?
maurice’s has plus size and other sizes and are great quality(especially their jeans i love them sm), and i believe their plus size section is bigger, but the other sizes are available online.
I'm very gifted in hips and shoulders so none of the sizes in women section really fit me properly 😭 it's a struggle fr, but I mostly shop in men's section and most of the time I can just grab the smallest man size they have
Me 2 so whenenver I get bangs they r too loose or too tight and they always look fucking wei4d
“I Can’t breathe in this store” got me 😂😂😂
My biggest struggle as of late has been Plus Size Catering to middle aged women and not 20 year old girls
This but with height 😭I gotta save my money if I want a tall pair of pants from old navy or American eagle
Lol I kind of get of the struggle-they never have sizes small enough for me🥲 I wear xxxs-xxs jeans depending on the store, and I can’t go to the kids sections because my legs are to long. I’ve only found 2 stores that have my size!😭

It’s the opposite for me. I’d be in target or Walmart trying to find clothes but they would only have the bigger sizes and they wouldn’t fit me. It’s amazing how they’re expanding the sizes but there is not a lot of options.
I think the stores should have both larger and smaller sizes
