Listening to remember the good times with my beloved cat, Kahlan. She passed away suddenly this evening and I'm completely shattered. She used to sit and listen to the books with me and her ears always perked up when she heard her name. I already miss her so much. 😭
I’m so sorry. I never liked pets or understood how someone can cry for a stupid pet…til a dog fell in my lap…. We had to give her up cuz she bit my step kid…..I miss her every day and I wonder about her every single day. ♥️♥️♥️
I feel blessed to have met Terry Goodkind in Boulder City a few months before he passed away. We were talking about cars ( more particularly about his new red Ferrari SuperFast that only had 19 miles on it that day and how he only felt like spending a few hundred dollars on watches as they all did the same thing so he felt it would be a waste to spend more money on something that did nothing but tell time. Terry had inspired me to write and later go to film school, which led me to the film industry and fantasy world of writing. I will always remember that day, as it reshaped the person that I am today. #RIPTerry
So much wisdom to chose from: "There have always been and always will be those who are driven by hate and want to blame those who are happy, creative and productive for their misery." “In this world, everyone must die. None of us has any choice in that. Our choice is how we wish to live.” "You can destroy those who speak the truth, but you cannot destroy the truth itself." "The greatest harm can result from the best intentions." "Passion rules reason." "Mind what people do, not only what they say, for deeds will betray a lie." "Willfully turning aside from the truth is treason to one's self." "Life is the future, not the past. The past can teach us, through experience, how to accomplish things in the future, comfort us with cherished memories, and provide the foundation of what has already been accomplished. But only the future holds life. To live in the past is to embrace what is dead. To live life to its fullest, each day must be created anew. As rational, thinking beings, we must use our intellect, not a blind devotion to what has come before, to make rational choices." "People are stupid, given proper motivation, almost anyone will believe almost anything, because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they're afraid it might be true. Peoples' heads are full of knowledge, facts and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true, they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool." “There is no such thing as pure good or pure evil, least of all in people, in the best of us there are thoughts or deeds that are wicked, and in the worst of us, at least some virtue, an adversary is not one who does loathsome acts for their own sake, he always has a reason that to him is justification, my cat eats mice, does that make him bad ? I don't think so, and the cat doesn't think so, but I would bet the mice have a different opinion.” .
Yup; this crystalized a thought I always held. In fact that’s why I love this series to much: Richard is constantly doing that. The, later, story about magic in Soul of the Fire is one of my favorite simply because of how true it always rang to me. People keep telling you “this is how it is” when you don’t see it that way and prove them wrong eventually.
Wow im 8 hours in and i just discovered this series TODAY. I havent spent this much time on a book in one day since i discovered the first red rising book
A good friend sent me Wizards First Rule as a recommendation and it has changed my world. It started the love I have for Fantasy.... RIP Brianna and RIP Terry
I have the full paperback series still and haven't touched them in about 10 years. But then I thought of them today and tried to find the audiobooks online for cheap...then took to RUclips, who never fails and remembered there are audiobooks for every one in the series. I'm sooo grateful. I have ZERO time to sit down and read, so it's nice to have this option for such an awesome series.
Me too, in fact this and other good novels made me become a writer that has been at it for about 18 months and have put some small parts on RUclips to be narrated by many great narrators. Type David Morningway in youtube to see some. In the series THE MOUNTAIN, there is Veil Guardians (the veil in my books are not at all the same but tied to our Apocalypse and Cryptids and how they are connected to heaven and hell ect) and to honor this book, the Antagonist calls him a "Boundary Warden" just once lol. On Mr. Creeps channel THE MOUNTAIN is renamed I TOOK A JOB WORKING ON A MANSION IN THE OLYMPIC MOUNTIANS, SOMETHING IS WRONG HERE and part 1/5 has almost 270k views in 18 months. He edits curse words and Dead Man Talking Forest of Fear does a narration thats Uncut WITH SOME COOL VOICE MODS TOO 😈😎😇
I learned about TGs passing from you. I'm grateful to have spoken to him on Facebook back in 2011. I knew he didn't look like he did from the author's photo on the back of his books but I left it be. I read temple of the winds back in Jan 97 and once I was able to I went back and bought everything he put out,but after book 6 I chose audio. What I know of him, he wouldn't want anyone sad. He'd want us to remember and stay true to ourselves first and foremost.
I just wish he was a better writer lol. The books have amazing characters, plot, and world but jesus fucking christ the bad prose and the 3rd grade philosophy "class," included in every book really ruins the experience.
One of my favorite series I ever read. My favorite would have to be Robert Jordan's eye of the world series. Reading that series was a huge part of my life and let me escape into a world that was more real and filled with more life and friends and love than I experienced in the real world at that time. This series was also a huge part of that. To be honest these books and the authors that wrote them proably saved my life. I would like to give thanks to Mr. Terry brooks,Mr. Robert Jordan, Mr. David eddings and many more that helped me live through a very hard and lonely part of my life.
I found the Sword of Truth series more accessible, LOTR to have the best world-building (Silmarillion), And The Wheel of Time to have the best character development. For sheer simple "fun to read" Percy Jackson's series (Tale of the Lightning Theif was the 1st) became a guilty pleasure. (Yea I'm a little old for those, but they were still a fun read)
@@SkyweaverFPV I just wish the other books were available as this one is lol I used to be subbed to a channel that had ALL the books, from The first Confessor to the ones leading up to Niccis' story after Richard defeated Sula Chan and the half-people. The books after The Omen Machine very quickly become VERY heart-rending for those starting from Wizard's First Rule....
I love this series! I use to have them all! I never read the last three books as it was something my mother and I shared and when she passed I could not bring myself to finish them.. but it is time to go on the adventure again in this time finish it
I feel you on that. My mom was the one who gave me my love of books and throughout the years we would exchange books the other has read critique. Nora Roberts was one of her favorite authors I haven't read her books since my mother passed 4years ago. I understand what you mean. Keep reading, book lovers, keep reading. Enjoy the feel of traditional books in your hands, turning the pages, using different things for bookmarks and enjoy the journey. Keep reading, my friends
Hmmm,...some would disagree and tell you that he blatantly stole from "Wheel of Time"...and they probably wouldn't be wrong. He was also a very unlikable character, who would often talk down on other authors and his own fans. He believed that he didn't write fantasy but in a genre of his own, which he himself created. At the same time, he claimed that his books changed the face of the fantasy genre forever. For what it's worth,...I very much enjoyed the series. It was my favorite growing up and I read the books multiple times (unfortunately in the German translation),...but that was over a decade ago...
How? It’s full of unoriginal fantasy tropes, straight up stolen content, and the author forcing his political views into his writing. Many consider this to be one of the worst fantasy series ever written. I would highly recommend giving this a watch: ruclips.net/video/W6ylsQ0DepI/видео.html
@@mementomori4972 bruh, it is basically a genre of its own. it doesnt fit into the fantasy genre easily. he brought a level of realism to fantasy that most barely even grasp.

Sword Of Truth series has been my favorite books since I met Richard and Khalen in wizards first rule. I read, conventualy, through the first 12 and am excited to listen to all that comes after by Terry Goodkind. Thank you Mr Goodkind for an amazing story that's effected my outlook on life and people in the best way.
@LOST GRIMOIRES OF NEGROMANACY Wheel of Time. Goodkind blatantly ripped off ideas. He also claims he is not a fantasy writer, that he is above such things. Oh, and he had a ponytail most of his adult life. The only reason he got rid of it is because he went bald.
@@bloodymacbeth what ever hater, yes both Goodkind and Jordan had a lot of the same material, but a different feel. I guess you just can't be happy with a good book and story now can you. Well be your miserable self then just try not to ruin it for the rest of us! OK!
@@bloodymacbeth some authors are douche canoes. That’s normal. Who gives two damns? Do you hate Harry Potter and give it shit because JK Rowling doesn’t think people with penises are women?
Zedd is my favorite character from anything, ever. "Nothing is ever easy" is a bit of wisdom I've carried since my freshman year, and it has always proved true
****spoiler warning!*****............................Zedd is in my top 4, but I was very disappointed in the way he was killed. off screen (in TV or movie terms. not sure about books?) by a meaningless side character? I know Richard needed to be the wizard of note, but Zedd could have gone on in a Yoda type role or giving his life in a way that made sense.
I read the whole series long ago... I loved it. I had a major flood around a decade ago that unfortunately destroyed my entire collection of books.😥 so i am going to listen instead. 😊
One of my favorite Authors of all time and one of my favorite series. A hole left with the loss of him to us. But, he left a treasure for us all to keep. May he Rest In Peace.
Oh no dude I didn't know he passed but I knew he hadn't looked good in many years. I spoke with him on Facebook many times and now I'm even more grateful for that
I still haven't been able to make myself read these books because of the horrible things he said about Jim. I'm glad to know that these books are really good. I'll try to divorce my opinions about the things the author did and the quality of the books he wrote. Thank you.
@@TheAmyrlinSeat Thankfully I started reading the books before I learned more about who he was. It’s not always easy knowing what’s true. However it sounds like at least a good majority of it is true. He wasn’t really a nice person. I love these type of Fantasy books. So, I will finish the series. I’m too far into it to stop. His books are good though. If you like these types of books you need to check out Terry Brooks. His Shannara Series. It’s some good reading! In my humble opinion.
Honestly, I enjoy the books, but I have lots of issues with goodkind. He stole a lot of things and was somewhat uncreative. Prime example, samuel=gollum(lotr), sisters of the light=aes sedai(WOT), radahan=aidham(WOT), theres a lot more. I wouldnt care about that if he really made things feel different. But so many are just uncreative. On top of that he often uses the same old tropes, the first book has a super long you know what scene. And he was also a jerk to his fanbase, other authors, and the entire genre of fantasy. If you want more details Daniel Greene has two videos on him specifically, and you can find several others. Im just hitting spark notes
What a epic journey!!! Just had to come back here after finishing book : Into the darkness …. Bless you Terry Godkind!!! May good spirits watch over you always. Master Rahl guide us Master Rahl teach us Master Rahl protect us In your life we thrive In your mercy we are sheltered In your wisdom we are humbled We live only to serve Our lives are yours!
I enjoyed this more than I expected. I've heard a lot of bad things about Terry Goodkind and his books over the years but I'm glad I didn't let that dissuade me from checking them out. There are some deriviative concepts here and there but also some very interesting and unconventional ideas that I haven't seen in many fantasy works. The blend of traditional heroic fantasy and Randian Objectivist philosophy may turn some people off but I personally found it very engaging and fascinating.
This is a great book but the later ones... idk they kinda get off track and throw in to much drama and oddness... I mean there are so many love triangles and things that end odd but I think these books are the best, as for the others ... I lost interest
I've seen the Terry Goodkind trashtalk before starting this series, calling the guy all sorts of names but never really offering specific criticisms; and halfway through Wizard's FIrst Rule, it became crystal clear to me what the hate was about, and what kind of people would naturally hate him. It seems that *those people* tend to get upset at precisely the things that are worthwhile. They are useful in that regard; their clamor unwittingly draws my attention to quality stuff that I'd never know about otherwise.
@@sarcasm4371 These complaints might not appear as damning if you have some context. I'll be glad to post some; it may not change your mind totally but I don't think what you said actually represents what happened. Goodkind may be flawed or even somewhat of an arrogant jerk. That has never stopped me from enjoying art made by such people if they offer something compelling. Personally I don't mind lore dumps and teaching/philosophizing in my novels, which goes against much of the current fantasy zeitgeist. I'm reading WFR and I find he overwrites by using twice as many words as is necessary. But he has interesting ideas and even subversions of fantasy tropes. I'm sure he has some derivative ideas but every fantasy writer does, even Tolkien. It feels to me that he is doing his own thing. I think that people largely hate Goodkind for his politics which are challenging to the post-wwII liberal consensus and leftist dogma, and it doesn't help that, judging by his first book, his prose isn't, let's say, very magical. This creates a feedback loop of elitism and misrepresentation regarding him. (BTW--if you can find what Goodkind said about Robert Jordan, please send link because I haven't been able to find it).
"Evil thinks not to beguile us by unveiling the terrible truth of its festering intent, but comes, instead, disguised in the diaphanous robes of virtue, whispering sweet-sounding lies intended to seduce us into the dark bed of our eternal graves" Rest in Peace. We will never forget you.
Not really. Dude was one of the biggest a-hole authors of all time. He literally mocked Robert Jordan for having a heart condition. That heart condition ended up killing Robert Jordan.
This is the BEST series ever written. I have read the series several times and love it every single time. Richard and Kahlan are the ultimate couple!!!
I was so sad when they canceled the tv series. They have countless reality shows, but heaven forbid they have any shows that are different or that cause you to think. Thanks for sharing this. ⚔️
Yeah, it could of been amazing! could of been. if we got the makers of the Game of thrones show to do Terrys Books i think it could of been the series of the decade
I come back to this series over and over. Been reading it for years. My absolute favorite out of all the books I have read. My next favorite is by Robert Jordan. The wheel of time series
Wheel of time is SO sooo good! My favorite actually. Newer fantasy series out is the chorus of dragons. Which is not about dragons btw, by jenn Lyons. Highly recommend. @LOST GRIMOIRES OF NEGROMANACY Same here. Got my wife into this and WoT. Have you read Brent Weeks yet? An often overlooked author among the fanbase of this genre. The Night Angel Trilogy by him is one of my favorites.
Finally. Thank you so much for putting the full book here. Everyone else's are always missing big chunks throughout. I've been reading and rereading this series ever since the third book came out.
Same here..as a kid i read the first chapter..but i had so much going on in my life ..i had left this book behind it was the least of my worries..so much so i couldn't remember the Title..i liked it so much it caused me to read all kinds of books to find it..i never did..i thought it was lost to me . i kept thinking about it for years i felt robbed and i actually made up my own version of what was going on to cope..haha boy this is way better ..i have not finished yet ..but im am so satisfied at this moment..
Jagang and Brother Narev claimed to work in the name of the Creator. They allowed their troops to murder, rape and steal from innocent people, saying that it was the duty of all to bend to the will of others in need. People were brainwashed with the promise of a better world after death and that their current life was worthless. Anyone who spoke out against these thoughts were quickly put to death, being accused of treason against the Creator. The Imperial Order despised magic and those who were gifted with it. They sought to end magic itself, although Jagang himself was a Dream walker and possessed magic. The Order had no qualms in using magic to further its ends. Jagang used his talents to enslave the minds of many gifted individuals and uses them against their will to wreak havoc on innocent life.

Yes, but it is a centuries old problem, same group, different name, different faces, but the same families. We have been warned , it was getting stronger since the 40's at least. They just turned up their lies & manipulations, distractions, and we let our guard down. Now, here we are. When people againl figure out they can stop it. It will start to get better, some are, but it is few. The "evil", is fighting back, Many good people getting hurt & worse. What rules the world now is like a mix of Darken Rhal and Jagang. The US has convinced everyone it controls that they are the good guys, when all the powerless and weak know better. They are trying to fight back now.
I just love this series, This is my second time through it. Other than some difficulty in selecting the correct part or knowing how many parts there are in each series. I enjoyed the naration and voices used by the narrater fully
In junior high, I found these magical stories & the cover art of each book very enthralling 🌄 . . . Truly from a nostalgic time ⚔ Full of Magic & Wonder 🏰
I read the first 6-7 books over 10 yrs ago, the other night they popped in my head so I started looking them up and found this so I'm going to listen to them all over again because to me they're right up there with Harry potter and Lord of the rings. And I would love to see them put into movies or tv shows one day. I watched legend of the seeker just to see how close they compared to what I pictured in my head this whole time. I think Kahlan is the only one who looked the part.
If you haven't already y'all might enjoy The Belgariad and The Mallorean series by David Eddings. Great character development in these books as well I think.
I like the foreshadowing in this. I doubt very much I would ever read the books, but they are enjoyable to listen to. This reader is very good at what he does. This book is very good aural wallpaper. I look forward to the rest of the book, and to the following books.
only just learned of Terry's passing in September. my condolences to his family and fans. I know he was close to finishing his first full length Richard and Kahlan novel since Warheart. maybe if we're fortunate we may still see it? rest in peace ferry. thank you for decades of entertainment. you are missed.
I've never had a mentor, role model or positive male influence. My dad was a bodybuilder and fed me LOTS of food when I was young thinking it would make me big and strong, but it just made me fat and I got bullied for it. Kids would say how could I be HIS son coz I was fat. I worked out and dieted and by sophomore year I had a six pack, muscles, blonde hair blue eyes....and when I thought I was what he wanted, he said I looked too skinny now and should put on a little weight. My mother was a drug addict and after losing faith in myself I became one too. Almost all my friends are dead (I'm 37) and I never have had one healthy relationship. I wish I had a Zed, or Richard or Chase etc. When I was younger, and NOW. So I'm learning life lessons from a fantasy book, and I am not ashamed of that. If you are a New Dad and your struggling with what your going to do with your involvement in his life....BE THE ROLE MODEL I NEVER HAD, don't let your son or daughter get lost like I did, show them what an Honorable great person is, and I promise it will change their life! 😈😎😇

I loved all of the Sword Of Truth Series books more than any other I have read. They have almost spoiled me to other books and series because of how much the story of Richard and Khalan pulled me into the Heartland Woods, The Midlands, Dhara, and even the Old World. I will never forget when I picked up Wizards First Rule. I was going through a very difficult time in life, and I mean very. I could pick the book up and spend a long time imaging the words coming to life in my mind. I had never found a book that pleasurable and amazing. And after the first book it took me no time at all to continue and finish this series. It was, to me, the most memorable book series I have ever read. Mr. Good kind, may you be walking through the Heartland forest with Richard and Khalan. RIP good sir!
Hi, very similar experience for me as well. I was going through a difficult time and WFR1 allowed me to escape. I say escape but once I read the part where Kahlan kills the ped I was trapped, happily though.

"Life is the future, not the past. The past can teach us, through experience, how to accomplish things in the future, comfort us with cherished memories, and provide the foundation of what has already been accomplished. But only the future holds life. To live in the past is to embrace what is dead. To live life to its fullest, each day must be created anew. As rational, thinking beings, we must use our intellect, not a blind devotion to what has come before, to make rational choices."
"People are stupid, given proper motivation, almost anyone will believe almost anything, because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they're afraid it might be true. Peoples' heads are full of knowledge, facts and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true, they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool."
“There is no such thing as pure good or pure evil, least of all in people, in the best of us there are thoughts or deeds that are wicked, and in the worst of us, at least some virtue, an adversary is not one who does loathsome acts for their own sake, he always has a reason that to him is justification, my cat eats mice, does that make him bad ? I don't think so, and the cat doesn't think so, but I would bet the mice have a different opinion.”

Mine too. And of course Richard said that
Yup; this crystalized a thought I always held.
Oh just wait, it gets better! If you haven't already, read the Nicci Chronicles!

@@The_Scriggles, he stole a lot of ideas from many places. However, i still find first 2 books a very pleasant read.

He isn't dead
I have the full paperback series still and haven't touched them in about 10 years. But then I thought of them today and tried to find the audiobooks online for cheap...then took to RUclips, who never fails and remembered there are audiobooks for every one in the series. I'm sooo grateful. I have ZERO time to sit down and read, so it's nice to have this option for such an awesome series.
Been reading this series for 25 years. I didn’t know he passed. What an amazing mind ❤️
You have no idea how much Terry has shaped my childhood rest in peace man helped me in a darker place
The wheel of time by Robert Jordan, and this series are the undisputed kings of epic fantasy!
It's called The Wheel Of Time series, not the Eye of the World series!
You describe what I look for in the perfect book.

I agree I have read this a few times before listening to them. The voice actor is amazing alot of voice actors don't change there voices like he does
Hmmm,...some would disagree and tell you that he blatantly stole from "Wheel of Time"...and they probably wouldn't be wrong.
I would highly recommend giving this a watch:

Why do people hate on Terry Goodkind? He was a brilliant writer.
Leftists and communists hate him for the same reason they hate Ayn Rand. They can't stand objectivism, and individuality
Its been many years since I read the series. It feels like saying hi to an old friend...

“There have always been those who hate, and there always will be.”--Wizards 13th Rule.
@@Uriel-Septim. Terry Goodkind created the "Hater's gonna hate" meme :)
Rest In Peace Terry Goodkind... may the worlds you created live on through us, who have found entertainment and inspiration in your words.
"Evil thinks not to beguile us by unveiling the terrible truth of its festering intent, but comes, instead, disguised in the diaphanous robes of virtue, whispering sweet-sounding lies intended to seduce us into the dark bed of our eternal graves"

Terry thank you for making my childhood the best. This is my 8th time reading/listening to the series
I have read and listened to this saga many times. Amazing how much of a profit Goodkind was. What a state the world is in now.

While some cheer it on, because they think they are better, because they want everyone the same. Not possible, but they refuse to see.
What rules the world now is like a mix of Darken Rhal and Jagang. The US has convinced everyone it controls that they are the good guys, when all the powerless and weak know better. They are trying to fight back now.

Hey guys, can someone help me? I love this series and I'm obsessed with this Narrator.. I listened all the 10 books he red one year ago, now I want to listened the series again, but those video have been deleted 😭 basically all the books from the numbers 2 to the number 8 are gone! I could find another version on audible.. but with a different narrator... and he may be a good one... but Bags! He can't be compare to Sullivan.. did someone have downloaded those audiobooks or know where to find the missing books? Thanks
I'm here couse I was looking for sword of truth asmr role play and I am so glad that I found something much better 😀 well, I know books very well but in Polish 🙂
Brilliant Author RIP Terry thank you for sharing your imagination with us all great narration as well
Rest in peace dude. I wanted to say that you have saved my life twice... But I'm afraid I will fight until my last breathe through hell and back but you have saved my soul twice. I will forever owe you a debt I cannot repay in this world. If there is another feel free to hit me up. I have your back.
I read this when I was in 8th grade and it was such a wonderful experience. It was my first big adventure novel and lead me on to other things like LOTR and Stephen Kings dark tower series.
So happy to see this on you tubem
Alec Johnson I agree with you whole heartedly. The Sword of Truth Series and The Dsrk Tower series are my two all time favorites!!
I also love the dark tower, you should try wheel of time by robert jordan

I love this series, I would love to be able to write as well as Terri Goodkind! Its gets a bit dark and very intense towards the end but I still love the series, because Richard ciphers story is told extremely well.
Thank you so much for sharing this book though I'm having a hard time finding the third part of this first book.
It's amazing right?! I love it so much! The darkness makes it even better, ups the stakes a little

Are you THE Mary James….are you a musician.
I love these books, this narrator does really good with changing his voice for different characters but it’s grinding me listening to the rest
Absolutely in my favorite book series hands down, so many great characters throughout the series that I still remember them from years ago so thanks for posting an audio of it!
Hey Jennifer. If you're looking for something new and exciting to binge-listen, check out The Giant Killers for free here on YT: ruclips.net/channel/UC4N244lOHClGAZjxhn8WQHQ

I can't say enough about the reading of this book I read it multiple times the entire series. It really does sound as similar as I could place it in my mind when I read it!
I wonder not why but when they will make this a movie series
I too have experienced this
Goodkind series as you have
Its so grande 😍🍃🌺🍃
@@WoodSprite4ever A multi actor narration of the books would be awesome and as close as we could get to an actual TV series since they butchered that so horribly a number of years back
I cannot count the number of times I've read this book. And now I can listen to it!
same here :)
Same here! Probably read through about 10 times now lol
I've had this entire serise explained to me, watched a few of the TV episodes. Very happy I've found this.
I remember reading this book in my early twenties. After I finished it I hugged the book tightly to me so happy to have had the chance to read such a wonderful story.
I read through the first seven books, all that was out at that time, then I re read them still enjoying them but the flaws started to become apparent. When the 8th book came out it was so terrible that was it for me.
Now listening to the audio of this first book...I find myself breaking out into fits of giggles. The writing is just so bad! It's comical! It reads like an angst ridden teenager wrote it.
Oh well. RIP Mr. Goodkind. For a brief time in my life your stories made me very happy and I will always remember you fondly for that!
Thank you so much I no longer feel alone. It's horribly written but such a great story it makes it ok
I remember reading these books as a teenager. I am listening to the audiobooks as an adult.
My favorite series. Absolutely excellent.
I learned my morals from these books. They är still in My all Times high booklist!
To the seekers of truth.....
Same here.
Loved this story and all books connected ,it's been an amazing adventure and I'm going through it all again for the pure joy .Well done that Person who wrote this an amazing mind 🎼🎶🎵🙏🙏🙏
Thank you again for this upload,..this be me second time listening..dear spirits I do like this.. and NO adverts :-D that's unusual these days.. knocking on wood.. wishing good time to all.
ublock origin extension. No more ads ever. You're welcome.
The books were rivetting. Held my attention to the end. Just finished watching the tv series. Really disappointed to find out it was cancelled.
Most painful thing...I wish HBO would reboot it.

@@ghostops5988 I think starz does a better job with books
I read these as a kid,,,,, made me many things, honor is one, great memories
Read this series back in 2006, however its awesome to hear the audio book. Thanks a bundle. Great job.
i myself have never been much of a reader. a freind told me about this series and I figured id give it a try. im so glad i did! ive read every book of this series and loved them all. i use to wonder how my mother and/or wife would cry while reading a book. i found out as i read through this series. listening to again brings me just as much joy as the 1st time i read this book!
side note : if anyone knows other authors who write close to what/how Terry Goodkind wrote, please let me know. since his passing i really havent read much and im looking for another long , indepth book series.
Read the green mile ! It's a great read nothing like the movie !
Robert Jordan wheel of time series. Not Netflix. Netflix messed it up
I'm glad that read comments about this audiobook and decided to listen .wow I really loved it
Oh wow can't believe I found this here, the best books I've ever read 😍
Rest in peace, Terry Goodkind. You were a great writer.

@@seangrimes1559 that is a good one
Yes Terry goodkind is very much missed. I would have to say that the wizards first rule series is my favorite books of all time. If you read these stories and don't fall in love with some of these characters I don't know what the hell are you reading
Great author. Total prick
Even though I have all of Goodkind's audibooks including ones with different narrators I wanted offer a thumbs up and a sub to another Richard and Kahlan fan. Or Terry fan or both. Cheers.
Never heard of this, really enjoyed the story and style of reading.
This is a very good writer I'm enjoying the story very much I read in the comments though that he had passed away that is regrettable excellent author very well narrated
I didn't understand why I liked Richard when I read the books, in listening I see that it's because his first response in most situations is empathy, an attempt to understand the people around him.
Damn i didnt know Terry Goodkind passed in 2020 Rest in peace friend thanks for making my life far more enjoyable with the sword of truth series
Best Fantasy Series I have ever read...now I'm listening to the whole series again...
I thought this book sounded familiar...I saw the show, Legend of the Seeker, years ago. Loved it! It will be a treat to listen to the books. Thanks for sharing it :)
If you love the movie you're really going to love the books. Read the entire series
@@BruceGoodwinMI I did read them. Love them :)
I watched that series and didn't realize this was the book for it. I'm even more interested in reading it now. Thanks
Legend of the Seeker. Listened to the story for several hours before figuring it out.
it is to bad the series that did not have more seasons.
@@zhp500 bro!!!!!!!!!! I was wondering why these names sounded so familiar haha
I'm a big fan of this narrator. I'm glad they picked him to read this audiobook
The sword of truth series is in my top 5 favorite book series. Richard is one of the most badass characters in any story. Richard is not the one to fuck around with to find out lol
Thanks for the audiobook, it was a great listen.
Such an amazing series & one of the best debut novels I've ever read! Happy that I can listen to this while working & revisit this brilliant book again.
@Corvus Morve I've never understood the fantasy lovers who have bashed this series & the author. I've read many fantasy books / series & this has always been a top favorite. For a debut novel, IMO you can get much better
This is a good story.
Thank you.
I feel like this book is coming to life in this age. There is a dark force on earth brewing and a fierce battle to defeat this evil by the goodness of light and love that our human race is capable of but lost at times. I am praying for truth, justice and doing all I can in my little world to spread positive goodness the best I can. Look around, it is all over the world. 🙏
Absolutely, think any seeker of truth was lead to these books, 20 years ago I read them and today I know it's the truth of what's happening on earth at this time, I'm here to awaken as many souls as possible and spread the truth, love and light to you sister 💜💙 🙏
I'm a big Fan of the (Book) series. The joke of a Tv show was mostly like they didn't read all books.
believe me , they don't!
I thought I was the one that realized this. Men the show is a joke. So many things they got wrong. And omitted probably three halves of the books. I rather listen to the books.
Same thing happened with Lord of the rings. These shows are so ludicrous
This whole series was insane when I first read it in my teens, it was like the evolution of harry potter
Bronze Thunderbeard I still have the entire series
I'm on the 7th book but I feel it should definitely be a series of 1 hour shows broken into some seasons.
So true!
@@freshfavorites7212 it already has been and it failed after 2 seasons because it sucked look up legend of the seeeker
@@stevenrogers8005 i havent seen the series so i can't comment on that BUT it is said that a good book makes a poor movie and vice versa. So far im enjoying the book . My personal favourite is David Edings " Belgariad" best regards.
True as toasted toads is my new favorite phrase
I just discovered this series and I love it
Who is this amazing narrator? He makes it like I'm going with the richard and his companions in this dangerous quest
I didn't think would like this at all but after hearing chapter one I didn't want to stop listening bring out the inner nerd I didn't kno I had 👓💪
try wheel of time
Hope you finished the story by now!
@@wedgeantilles1498 indeed, I stopped at the pillars of creation but it just wasn't the same
a great epic adventure in the vein of lord of the rings!
