Pride in your country and heritage and a little bit of patriotism isn't bad but you can go overboard like those who think their people are better than others like Jewish, Arab, White, Asian and Black Supremacists all think.
I'm glad to see the younger generation attending the memorial and being determined to find the solution that could put an end to this conflict which is harmful to both sides.Thank you Hatari and IMN for raising awareness on the issue.
That young guy in the end is a hero we deserve, one of the heroes of our time. We need more people like him who will look to the future and not cling to the past. Thank you Iceland music news for having shown different opinions of the Israelis and the Palestinians. We pray for peace everywhere.
Thanks IMN, you're one of the best things this Eurovision season brought us and I'm not ready to let you go, I hope this channel can stay active and comes up with more content in the future.
It's amazing how they morphed from a joke spinoff of Hatari into a real media source over the course of this competition. This is better reporting than most "traditional" media does.
thank you so much for giving me more information about the whole conflict, i wish my country would talk about it more. i really hope that there will be peace between israel and palestine some day.
It's great that Hatari have obviously provoked a conversation in Iceland about this issue and I'm also thankful that they brought my attention to the Israel/Palestine conflict because now I'm interested to learn more about it.
God I cried so so hard when watching this, I miss my family in Palestine every day, thank you for showing everyone that we both want peace, thank you 💜💙
There's nothing scarier than hatred with weapons in the arms.. This shows terrifying truth: human kind perpetuating pain and suffer by destroying each other. Hatari pissed off many people, but they brought up the omitted issue.. spoke the truth that is so often twisted by media and ignorant people. You shouldn't take one side or the other, you should take the side of human life! Thank you for this video
@@noanimezone3149 It's updated, I just hope no one read it now and thinks I'm this disrespectful ass that is writing really seriously silly lyrics in the comment section of a very serious video :D You have your zombie unicorns at least, and yup, that's a real song ^^
You made me cry. That is so unfair that thousands must suffer in conflict between governments. And now nations against each other and I'm sure it will take long time to solve this problem.
it's not between governments it's between two religion. it's not Israel vs palatine conflict it's Jews vs Muslims conflict. this is why it's so hard to solve it. Only when Islam will become more moderate like Christianity and Judaism then it will be peace.
I accepted the fact that Eurovision is a fake contest. Hidden politics, hypocrisy, pretending, etc. And then you come in! So honest, sincere and genuinely worried about such important things. And you don't just talk about them trying to portray as if this is important to you, no! It really matters to you! And it's not just talking, it's ACTIONS. Thank you IMN, thank you Hatari! This is an amazing video. These people deserve peace, and I hope someday they will get that. I'm sad and happy both after watching this.
Wonderful ! I hope the young generation can make peace. They seem to have the right attitude ! The old guys are lost ! And so great you listen to request !!
I'm actually a part of a project for Palestinian and Israeli youth in which we work on broadening communication between both sides to work towards a functional shared society!
Iceland music news, I’m grateful that I have found your channel during the Eurovision. Thank you for this video, where you showed the will of people for peace. Those youngsters who articulated so well are the hope of our country to peace with our neighbors. I will continue following your channel from Israel. ♥️
thank you iceland music news for keeping this channel updated! i was worried you guys would disappear after eurovision. thank you for the educational content.
Honestly I want to thank Hatari for bringing attention to this, I've been fairly ignorant about things outside my tiny bubble of the world and it's unfortunate and heartbreaking that this conflict has gone on for so long. I hope those young men at the end are safe and hope for all of their happiness. They are the future and I'm glad they have good heads on their shoulders.
It's really shocking seeing the effect of pointless wars. We feel safe but in other countries conflicts happen all the time. All these people that lost their loved ones went through a terrible period of sadness. This needs to stop right now.
Please continue to do what you have done here during Eurovision song contest. These voices are all over the world now and our time will be short if these voices of love and reason get blacked out. You are brave and did important work. Thank you
Just seeing it now. Guys this is spectacular journalism work. Thank you for covering this event and allowing the world a glimpse of the complex situation in my country. Greetings from Israel and peace will prevail!
"We miss you guys already", we miss you too!! Thank you for this video, it explains the motivations of protest really well, that guy is so young and at the same time so brave, I admire him, he is a strong person. I hope people understand...
EVERYONE should see this before criticizing Hatari for their action, before speaking about Israel-Palestina conflict as caused only by Palestina and before claiming Israel not guilty. You are amazing that you made this video
we have a somewhat similar situation here in Russia with Crimea, you would think that such tragedies are long behind us but here we are in 2019 dealing with this bullshit
Thank you for this eye-opening video. You are doing amazing work here. I was just reading an essay about the conflict by Sarah Kendzior called "The Telegenically Dead" (from her book, The View from Flyover Country), and this video was on my mind a lot while I was reading. This quote stuck out to me: "Those dehumanized in life become humanized in death. With this realization you mourn not only the dead. You mourn the living too."
Thank you IMN for spreading this awareness, this so touching. Literally this brought me into tears. Peace for Israel, peace for Palestine and the world.
Thank you for making this video. It seems a million light years away from the glitter and glitz of a song contest but I strongly believe that people's realities shouldn't be denied.
Thank you so much for being at this event and filming these powerful, intelligent and compassionate young people. I have never seen any news piece like this before and it is so inspiring. Thank you.
I love that how Hatari and Icelandic Music News were bold enough to reach out and show what terrible things are happening in Europe nowadays. I mean sure there are many anti war songs that participated before at ESC. Like my country, (Hungary) in 2015, but I doubt Boggie actually raised her voice against wars personally. Also the political situation of Hungary rn made me feel connected to Hatari's song and message with the song. Hate is really winning here. Our prime minister is doing things that reminds me of Germany pre and during WWII. Propaganda against migrants, propaganda against the European Union, against George Soros. So yes, hate is everywhere whoever who doesn't share the ideas of the prime minister are said to be paid by EU or Soros and etc.
We love you, IMN guys. That's why It's not possible for you to go somewhere else :)
On the other hand, thanks for sharing this video. And I want to add that the minds of those young guys are the keys to solve the problem in that conflict. Israeli people should be thankful to them.
This was such a beautiful and important video, thank you, IMN. Thanks for giving all those people a voice that otherwise wouldn't be heard. And it hopefully gives people new hope. My solidarity goes out to the people who came to this event and the people who organized it - for that they hold up humanity and peace. I was personally touched by the older lady at around 3:28. She sounded like she had some sort of German accent or something. Her accent sounded very European. (I'm German myself, well, anyway). But I can also feel where the older man, who talked to the young group, came from. Hate does not come from nowhere. It comes through experiences. But we, as humans, should look that hate does not prevail. It's easier said than done sometimes. As for him, his hate prevailed, based on his own experiences. But the young man in the end not only summed up the whole political situation so well that I don't have anything to add there, but he showed with his friends, and the many others at that event, that it's possible that hate won't prevail over you, if you don't let it.
... I don't even know what to say. This is terrible and very sad. Thank you for spreading awareness on this situation. I haven't heard of this conflict before and it is important that more people hear of this. My heart goes out to everyone suffering under these circumstances.
That's a really smart young man! Very articulate. He seems like he'll do great things when he's older. And on a side note, as an American, it really scared me just how much that older man sounded like the more bigoted conservatives we have here in the US. I guess as long as most of the younger generations of Israelis and Palestinians are like that young man though, I can have at least a little bit of optimism. The more hateful older generations will hopefully die out in time.
As a fellow American, I want to share in your optimism. People like the young man toward the end of the video do give me some hope for the future. However, I think our country - - particularly the religious right - - is part of the problem here too, and I think that needs to be acknowledged. Until questioning of US policy in the region is tolerated without automatically being painted as anti-semitism rather than the legitimate critique of government policy that it is, I don't know how much things will change.
Oh, god. As well as in my country(Turkey), I see people who claim that they love their countries most cannot speak in a respectful way and use emotional basis rather than logical basis. While they cannot communicate with another person properly, how they can think they have ultimate truth in their ideas? All I see in this video is passive aggressiveness and rudeness. By the way, thank you so much for revealing atmosphere.
No matter what the subject is I see this far too often. I do not point this towards all but some of the older generation really need to stop being so stubborn and refusing to listen to someone else's views... I despise someone who uses "I'm older than you" as an argument for why they HAVE to be right. Edit: I'm not trying to say your opinion is right/wrong just that you could be a little more open to at least listening to someone else's opinion if it differs from yours.
It's so sad and I can't understand it. People like this destroys a lot ways to change things 'cause they're prisoned in their own mind. I hope that it'll be different, soon, for new ideas. It can't be like that forever.
"Nationalism is not a love for one's own nation, but a distaste for every other". This guy's amazing.
