If you’re shooting the bow at its full draw length then yes it’s a wash… however if you’re shooting both of them at a lower draw length like in this video it will make a difference for sure 💪
I'm still a fan of the triax through v3x models. I've shot a lift and it was so nice...sooo frickin nice. But I still can't leave my triax or my vxr to languish yet. They're some peppy little buggers and they've been good to me. Plus I'm too cheap to spend 1200 bucks on another bow. I got guns to buy.
next month the lift is gonna be a old bow lol . i have a v3x 29 for hunting and its been great the past 2 years and 10k + shots (on its 4th set of strings) . im not sure if im upgrading it this year to whatever mathews puts out. the Title i built last year is so nice i wish i was hunting with it lol , if mathews puts those limbs and cams on a hunting bow im all in .
I have both bows, the Lift holds better and I shoot better with it, but the V3X is way easier to pull at the same weight (also the Lift sucks to let down).
I shot all of the 2024 bows this year and the lift ranked dead last by a long shot for me. Draw cycle is awful, never been a fan of the Matthews grip, potential limb problems, and not the greatest speeds for rough draw cycle. Just an all around bad bow imo
There’s a TON of people that shoot 65 lb mods! Not everyone is shooting 70lbs, you should try to shoot the highest poundage you can shoot with good form, there’s way too many people that shoot 70 lbs that honestly shouldn’t be… people need to focus more on form rather than what poundage they’re shooting! It will make a huge difference in the long run!
5 years is an "Old Bow" ha ha! You should have made the bows the same weight. You are still just getting into archery... Only 2 fps slower for whisker biscuit. Well, keep working at your reviews, you have lots of room for improvement. Watch MFJJ reviews and learn a little more to make a professional review. Looks like you had fun and you have to start somewhere, looks like you have a lot of subs. "Old" versus new is good approach though.
The bows were the same setup😂 both had the same axle to axle and both had the same mods on them?🤔 that’s the same? We believe too many people only care about the specs and forget about just getting out and shooting. Getting more comfortable shooting. MFJJ is a great guy and has great videos, but what he’s doing isn’t what we’re trying to do, I want to just give our thoughts and impressions without going crazy down the rabbit hole of this spec vs this spec, if that’s what you’re looking for than as you said MFJJ does a really good job with it and I’m sure you can watch his videos. No reason to hate brother! 💪🙌
@@MADDHunts Providing a basic suggestion critique about making your review more useful is not hatin brother, need to know the difference... All you had to do was back the limb slightly and the bows should have had the same draw weight there was 4 pound difference, some of silly stuff was distracting, a lot I don't know and loosey goosey. I get it you don't own the bows and just having fun giving your opinion and making a vid. I made them myself. I support you making a TX-5 comparision and even watch.
I totally understand that, however we wanted to test them as they sit, they both have the same mods, what they spec out to from the factory is what we were looking at, we even said it in the video. They’re shooting the same axle to axle and the same exact mods… Mathews claims they should be the same weight if you set them up that way, however they were not? That’s the point we were trying to make is that two bows, different years, set up the exact same way and compare them that’s the entirety of the video, not take two bows and make them identical… I understand you’re point it’s just not what we were intending to accomplish as we stated in the video🤷♂️
The lift haz the z7 and zxt shap similarity shaped cam as well and are more aggressive which why it felt much more heavier.
V3x has a longer draw length so that extra 2 lbs is a wash

Totally understand 😂 it’s a hard choice to make sometimes!
I’m thinking Jerome for the bunny name.
Name him Peter! Or Jack?

100% were super excited to see what Mathews does this year
Limb bolts are adjustable different DLs
Yes but the point was to shoot them both with maxed out limb bolts, they’re both maxed, with the same cam mods
The bunnies name shall be PLEEBERT
Banger
Yes!😂
Hahaha… I think that’s a great name for your jackalope! 😂
Yessss😂 PLEEEEEEEEBEEEERTTTTTT!!

I have to agree, the lift seems to be a bit more aggressive for sure! After shooting both do you prefer the zebra or match strings??🤔
@@MADDHuntsMine had to be replaced at roughly 4K arrows. Went with GAS and love them. Stock strings were shit for me.
@@MADDHunts zebra strings are trash historically, I put on ABB strings immediately and never looked back.
That seems to be the pretty popular consensus 😂 personally I love GAS strings!
What’s wrong with a phase 4
Absolutely nothing! We wanted to test a bigger gap than the phase 4 and the lift!
What is a Pleebert? 🤔
PLEEBERTTTTTTTT
Instead of Buggs bunny or should be buggs bucky
😂😂😂

Interesting 🤔 what bow was your favorite?
Wait wait wait or instead of Bugs Bunny, how about Bucks Bunny
That’s definitely way better😂 I love it
Why would anyone come buy a mathews with those mods

My bow shop sells more 60 lb mods than 70🤔
The test was just to compare bows at the same specs 😂 calm down he-man

Guy hit his arm and he’s reviewing two flag ship bows
Please explain?😂 Not sure I understand what you mean?
