I think I’m the only one that was excited for Tensai. I knew for a fact who he was, but a good repackage could be a positive. He came back as a monster after years of success in Japan. There was potential and they squandered it
Maybe, WWE also kinda fumbled him too by having him do promos in Japanese, which he was not very good at, and contributed to him being considered a joke.

I think that's mostly because Vince genuinely had no idea how to book him properly. Wyatt's career had such polarizing opposite highs and lows when it came to how perfectly he was being booked vs the ideas and gimmick matches that made you roll your eyes. So it was pretty obvious that when Wyatt was killing it out there with awesome promos and character work, it was Rotunda's own doing. Bo himself said that a lot of what we’ve been shown so far was originally Brays idea. I don’t think the man who saw the potential and saved the careers of 5 other people who had been jobbing out their entire careers is the same person who made the decision of a Hell in a Cell match to end in DQ to which Bray and Seth admitted was a horrible decision which both were unhappy with. Bray understood wrestling very well but he didn’t have control over the actual wrestling part of his career until after he returned and that was very short lived, rest his soul.
