Adults wIll never understand what being 8 years old watching wwf wrestling in 1990 really was like one of the greatest things of the 90's if you was a child At that time when i think back to my childhood it's one of the things that come straight to mind what a great time to be alive
Children in the 80s called.
Born in 1986. Wrestling was some of my first memories. I haven't watched for 25 years, but I can't resist some sweet nostalgia!
At 61, I can remember watching Hogan beat the Iron Sheik and the birth of Hulkamania
At 44 I can remember the same. Even though I was 4 years old.
Thank god you can work RUclips
Happy Mother's to all the Moms, today is my first Mother's day without my Mom.
Sending ❤
I'm sorry. ❤❤❤❤
it was mine too buddy, wishing you well❤️❤️
Bless your heart ❤️. The first one is a tough one. This year marked my eighth without my momma. I actually felt kinda "guilty" because this year I didn't cry.
Love and prayers sent, friend ❤
Why do we care? Video is about wrestling.
Loved WWE in the 90s, they used to hold shows in nightclubs and bars and even took the street fights to the actual NYC streets. I remember a crowd at Penn Station watching Undertaker tombstone a guy as I took the subway home from school
That guy he tombstones was triple h lol
@@smurfitoo1585 YES it was. How far we've come boy.
Simon is by far the best part of whatculture wrestling
They are all good in their own way. Simon is just more "everybodys" flavor
Simon always ends sentences by exaggerating the final word. When he's on the screen, he accompanies that exaggeration with facial distortions as well.
I have no problems with it, but It's normally distracting to me. Lol
He's just not a nerd.
He's annoying as f what you on about
Were you here when everyone hated Simon years back?
Even Phil Collins carried warrior through a match
Shawn v Triple H v Benoit 🏆
Here is a Mania match:
Stone Cold vs Undertaker. That would have been THE all time match
The fact that Madonna had a greatest hits album in 1991 is hilariously fascinating.
Thought getting 100 Simon facts
@1:55 Douglas looking like... Yeah!!! I GOT your BOY TOY 🪀🧸🕺🏻🕺🏼
This is the era I grew up on. I loved this!
You have to watch matches without your modern day lenses. You cant judge a match based on today. If it werent for the early day wrestlers, todays wrestling wouldnt exist. They paved the way. If you watch bret vs shawn today, sure, it doesnt seem great. But for the time it was amazing. Keep in mind we were coming right out of the era where the marquee matches were like Ultimate Warrior vs. Hulk Hogan or Greg Valentine vs. Harley Race. It was a HUGE DIFFERENCE.
I agree with you but you're expecting too much from a trash wrestling channel that goes out of its way to appeal to the lowest common denominator
When warrior was asked to fight Phil Collins, warrior stated he didn’t need to think twice 😂😂
42:28 Shawn Michaels was singles wrestler in the Royal Rumble for the first time in 1992, not 1994.
Jesse and mcmahon on commentary was so funny. They argued like an old married couple
1:04:52 We who were watching WWF at that time loved the Iron Man match. And if you weren't watching WWF at that time you don't understand and you never will.
Goodness was splashed across the screen 😂😂😂 Simon dont miss
I was at the Oakland Coliseum for the Hogan/Flair match
Oh cool, 1:35:51
I always liked this picture of Shawn Michaels, I think the way hos pyro made those smoke rings is neat. I don't exactly like the bandana like that on him but the rest is classic.
😄👍
52:24 loved 95 as a year, I was 14yrs old and 95 was a good year for me. I preferred 98 (done my GCSE’s in 98 then went college after) and 99 they were great years to be alive
Yall just made your best show ever
Simon is by far the best part of whatculture wrestling!!!
Listening to simon at half speed is trippy as all hell....especially on shrooms.....
He sounds drunk lmao
The early 90’s of the WWE was okay, the mid 90’s were terrible and the late 90’s during the Attitude Era that’s when WWE was great!
Seeing all the guys pop up at bottom right at beginning of each section…so much baldness 😂. I’m bald too it’s nice to know I’m in good company 😂
2:55 we need a fully comprehensive video on all the ways hulk hogan has held the industry back over the last 40+ years.
Another fascinating fact of the 90s - Dave Meltzer wasn’t the only wrestling journalist.
I graduated high school in 1994. Gareth makin' me feel old.
Another fantastic video 🎉
Bret hitman hart got me into wrestling i was hooked after summerslam 91 with his match against Mr perfect for the wwf intercontinental title, i watched wwf before that but never believed in Hulk hogan although i loved watching machoman randy savage as a heel his style was real and genuine just like Bret hitman hart his matches spoke for themselves and love the fact that machoman got everyone in the ring for brets wrestlemania 10 wwf title win
I Mean Mankind debuted in 96 so there was a bit of the attiude era there.
8:52 don't you love the way leather feels against your body?
Yes I did, was old school for the WWF
Oh man, 1:40:22
Mark Curtis = best ref ever, long live the finger guns 👉👆
😄👍
Pop band Genesis? Hmmmm…. Prog band Genesis…
I always thought Shawn Micheals got a Bum rap for accidently kicking Maerty jennety through the window. Shawn saw a Bee and was trying to save Marty from being stung by it. Marty spazzed out after being stung and threw himself through the window. Maybe...
Luger wasn't injured when he signed with Vince's bodybuilding promotion. It was a way around his non-compete clause.
loved the mankind pop when he beat the rock
Never would be a character like thr revision one
18 minutes ago kinda crazy
How? Y’all find anyway to say crazy because it’s trendy .. high key corny
Cool! I was the 1000th like. It flepped from 999 to 1k. That was neat haha
11:07 That's still more than twice the Oakland A's average attendance at the Coliseum in 2024.
Bill Walton, Celtics Champs 🤔
HHH vs. Rock should have Headlined WrestleMania 2000 (16). I am a huge Helmsley fan, and seeing him retain at Mania was cool and all, but the Backlash 2000 main event should have been the Mania Main event. But I guess Austin wasnt ready until April, so they did what they did. IF the Mania main event goes down the same way Backlash did, it would be remembered as one of the greatest main events in Mania history.
Wild
27:20 Lex Couldn't wrestle because of a no compete clause in his WCW contract. So he could body build then he had the motorcycle accident
I’m wondering whhhhhy…Simon has suddennnnly decide-d…to change…….his delivery.
It's incredibly weird and I can barely stand to listen to him now. Weird inflections and sounding like Forrest Gump have come into his speech. I normally have to turn him off straight away nowadays.
Sting vs Undertaker at
WrestleMania 18.
I haven’t watched What culture in a while. What the heck is going on with Simon’s cadence and inflection?! 😖
Of course that Phil Collins match was gonna be a mess. You've got a guy in there with no training, no skills, no ring IQ, and no passion for the business.
And his opponent is Phii Collins.
Who recalls what? Im not even top 5 of my wrestling high school friends..
I find it absolutely hilarious that Vincent Kennedy McMahon had never seen Scarface despite the fact that t he Razor Ramon gimmick aped the whole aura and lifestyle so closely. Only Vince... so glad he's gone.
Personally, I think with the proper build, angles, and minds at work... Flair and Hogan could've drawn for them. Maybe not like hogan and andre did, but I think it could've worked back then 💯
Massive respect to Kurt Henning that's why he's perfect!!
Wwf was fantastic back in the day
I love this channel ❤️ All you gents telling me to have a good day ❤ You have a great day! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
My era
My favorite Shawn Michaels match was the one he had against your mom
Austin vs Hogan
Best triple threat match of all time has got to be wrestlemania 20 World heavyweight championship triple threat match champion triple h vs Chris benoit vs Hbk Shawn Micheals
WWE Attitude = ECW
No no no. 54:55
Jarrett was absolutely Not "on fire at the time". That angle sucked, nobody cared or liked it back then. It's only possible to enjoy now because it's no longer expected to be taken seriously like it was back then, but I promise nobody cared about Double J during that point in time.
Fun video though 😄👍
Nobody ever cared about JJ
1990* not the 1990s
“Loss Bro Q Us”
3:00 Corey Graves needs to listen to Jesse Ventura on how to be a HEEL commentator and justifying heel actions because he sucks at it…I don’t know how many times I’ve listened to Graves and thought Jesse would justify that not condemn it.
Phil Collin’s wrestling still better than anything Cody Rhodes has done
I'm glad I get to re-use an old joke. In 1993, The Undertaker was an American, before he became a Badass... ok, I'll see myself out
Why does simon drag his last word's. Suuuuuuuuure hes top of thr carrrrrrrrrdd
But he dperatred toooooooooooo
In stage legffffffffgtttt
Vince didn't pin the US justice system 1-2-3, he kicked out at 2 and a half. They were trying to pin him.
Then Vince used Diesel to ruin the illusion of wrestling. Bret Hart just spent a year defending against the pesky, determined Bob Backlund, eventually losing in peak drama.
Of course we know how quickly and easily it transitioned to Diesel.. and stayed on him for a year of boring stories.
Vince must have been living his untouchable status vicariously thru Big D... And it almost cost him the company
I think me and your mom should have had a go at WrestleMania
My favorite triple threat match was the one I had between your mom and sister
1:21:45 Los what?
1000 horrible things WWE has done to wrestling
…☺️…🙈… Say his name and he appears!!!!
Brutus another one infact the characters of old will never be recreated no matter how hard they try john cina wasnt nothing but the hulk hogan of are era honestly john cina represented all the good guys of are era lol maybe he did that on purpose
Gillberg vs. John Cena with Gillberg winning should have been the main event of Wrestlemania 30, not that vanilla little person Bryan Danielson.....I said what I said
The WWF was hurting 15 yrs old boys Ring boy scandal
LUGAR ALREADY HAD A CONTRACT WITH THE WBF THEN GOT INTO A WRECK
This sounds like a reupload
